they say if you refresh a tracking page enough times, a fedex pilot will increase his or her cruising speed by 1kt

seriously, i'm surprised you don't have a "departed fedex location" already.

yea im wondering that too cause i thought ours were on the same plane
maybe it's going on a new plane in Ak? to go to vancouver? oh 1 can only hope lol

but as long as i get it before predicted delivery date i'm good haha
so here hoping for monday! =)

most likely more than 1 pallet of air (heh) were on that flight out and somehow ours got split during loading.

another set of fedex flights are departing ANC right about now ;)

Stay home, call your mom, say hi, rent a movie, play it on your old fashioned Powerbook so it won't realize the depth of your intent to betray it early next week. Fix up your playlists. Order pizza. Go work out.
I'm with you. I don't get the obsessive need here to get the Air right now at any cost or inconvenience, but I suppose if these guys have the money and time to burn...

I believe mine is still there too. The most recent tracking shows "Left Origin" in Shanghai.

I called Fedex a few times today. They can give a little more information such as: we are in a pallet of about 400 Air's and will probably not go out until tomorrow. I was also told that it would be around Tuesday/Wednesday when we get it.

Thanks. That's what I was guessing, but it's good to hear from someone else. Let's hope for Tuesday.

for those who had "overnight" shipping and received your macbook air, did your package go straight from alaska to your relative location...or to Indy or Memphis first?

Tracking for Superdrive says shipped from California, so it should arrive with my Air on Monday.:D:D

ways to protect trackpad and keyboard?

has anyone thought about how they are going to protect their new shiny toys? i use a marware cloth to shield the screen from rubbing up against my MPB's screen - do you know if the regular macbook sized ones will fit the Air? any other leads about protecting the trackpad, keys, etc would be much appreciated!

Don't know if you care to know, but I have standard shipping:

Left Alaska 1:16 PM EST on 1/31
Arrived to Indianapolis 11:44 PM EST on 1/31
Left Indianapolis at 4:05 AM EST on 2/1
Arrived at Memphis at 2:00 PM EST on 2/1
In transit at Memphis at 2:11 PM EST on 2/1

Expected delivery, 10:30 AM EST on 2/4

Oh, thanks man. I'd assume that "overnight" is the same as standard in an international ship like this...so I'm sure that I'm getting mine on Tuesday now.

First time I've ordered anything overseas from FedEx, just realized this:

Delivery exception??

I had the same thing happen on my shipment...

Maybe paperwork-related?

Shipment exception
SHANGHAI CN
Delay beyond our control

LAME! anyone know what this means??

i know eh
i'm soooo hoping it's still in AK and it's just a papers thing

Yeah I think since the exception claimed to be within Shanghai, it was just a notification of a mishap earlier in the delivery process...I think we'll be ok.

...but if not...Jobs will pay.
