I hope they get out of Indy soon. Congrats on the Super Drive. Mine just shipped.

Going to see if my local Apple Store gets any today. I still can't understand why Apple Stores don't have them.

Your Super Drive should be out of California too. Some stores have display ones, but they are probably too busy filling all our orders and don't want angry owners like the iPhone price drop issue.

just woke up to the good news of "international shipment release" at IND along with you all.

looking at this early morning's fedex departures, it looks like the next wave won't be scheduled to leave until tonight or early tomorrow morning, depending on whether they break up the pallets at IND.

they're in for one long layover haha. but at least they're finally coming home.

The blizzards and power outages in the Shanghai area will probably delay the air freighter that was to carry my unit to the East. It will be interesting to see the next FedEx tracking update. Apple has done their job and got my unit (1.8 SSD iWork) out the door four days earlier than expected (will ship on or before 6 Feb with delivery by 11 Feb). That means, I will probably see it by next Thursday at the latest. Of course the Chinese weather could change all of those assumptions.:)

Bought a Super Drive at the Fresno store yesterday. They had about 10 or so.

They didn't have any MBAs, though, so I have a Super Drive without anything to connect it to.

They might get some MBAs in today. If so, I'll make the 2 hour drive from Bakersfield to get one...

I think my unit is sitting next to yours in Shanghai. Barring any major delays, we should receive them before of the original 2.11 delivery estimate. Fingers crossed!

Mine is in Minneapolis - same deal. Was hoping it would make Duluth, but did not make the last flight. So it is Monday - Dang.

So FedEx called again. Someone in Minneapolis crawled into a container, dug it out and they are putting it on a truck for me! It will be in Duluth for pickup at 1pm CST! These guys are awesome! ;););)

Ordered 7:19 on Feb 15, Not Yet Shipped:

Just got an email from Apple saying there was a problem with the payments:

Apparently, Apple tried to charge an extra 2 dollars on a giftcard I had (after they screwed up trying to add overnight shipping) and this delayed my friggin order. I am not happy.

I knew something was wrong because people who ordered after me were getting theirs shipped.

Any updates on Amazon orders?... And, has anyone actually gone out to buy a resale MacBook Air--some of these CraigsList postings are upsetting... I just want my preorder to ship already. I guess I should have ordered from Apple.

Finally! 1.8/SSD, ordered 1/15 @ 1:30PM, SHIPPED! Hopefully I'll get it early next week, :).

I'm at the TO Eaton Centre store right now; two MBAs on display. VERY sweet. None in stock, and no word on when they'll be in. Big crowd around the MBAs.

mine is prepared...how long before it ships?

None so far...from what I've found there are no resellers that have any in stock yet. All are listed as preorder still. I have an order with Amazon as well as Apple...don't feel so bad, my order with Apple is ships by 2/20-still a wait.

Just wanted to keep you guys posted as I've had the pleasure of using this machine for ~24 hours. I am completely in love ...

It has made it easy to bring a machine with me and just flip it on anywhere anytime. Heat is not a problem at all keeping it on my lap for long periods of time. Startup from standby is almost instant.

For all of those people still waiting, I know how hard this is. The wait is worth it!

For all those getting SSD models -- I'm a bit jealous. I have a feeling once some more of them become available and upgrading is done by a few guinea pigs I'll be swapping out my 80gb drive for an SSD.

Thanks for the update on your experience -- sounds great. My poor MBA is sitting on some cold loading dock in Shanghai waiting for the next FedEx flight. Cannot wait for it to arrive!
