I got mine Friday night/saturday morning!! Finally found a seller, be in in NYC! (long flight from LA but worth it!)

It came two days early. Box was crazy small.. I love it. It is sooo light. Its also completely silent. No noise. At all. btw its a 1.8/80GB.

any other questions, just ask. I'm on it right now.
Can someone post pics of them holding it, viewing the side? I've never been able to fully understand just how thin these babies were.
I just chatted (4:45PM on Monday 4 Feb) with the IP Direct Distribution service rep at Fed Ex. Due to the Chinese New Year, my shipment on 2 Feb around 1:46PM China time, along with countless others, have not even been placed through the process of exiting Chinese customs let alone been put on a plane for Anchorage. By my FedEx website status report and verified by the aforementioned service rep, there has been no shipping activity for over 48 hours. The skeleton China based ground crew is getting just a few items out each day.
I could loose a week while the Chinese play. The target delivery date (6 Feb) is already missed. I may to divert the unit to some other location as I leave Saturday on a trip. I may need to suggest that Apple extend their warranty on my equipment, which they started on the invoice/shipment date. Nuts!

Between the snow and Chinese New Years, I was afraid something like this would happen. Guess it's time to visit my local Apple store and then return other unit whenever it arrives. Don't think I can wait a week.
I was told those of us who missed Friday's flight out are supposed to be shipped out in the next 12 hours (Tuesday night Shanghai time), the representative said this as if it were guaranteed....
So that means, she is either damn sure she is right, or has no idea what she is talking about...I give it 50/50
so i just called fedex
and he said that mine just cleared customs and should be getting it sometime tomorow so i'm guessing yours is the same
Thanks Petrogk. So, OK, I'll wait until morning. If there is no new status on my unit, I'm going to the Apple store. Let's see what happens.
i wanted to videotape my attempt, but the bosses were at the office today.
call me anal, but for the shrink wrap i cut out only the bottom section so you'd still be able to separate the bottom half from the cover. i even went so far as preserving the tape that's on the magsafe adapter!
It's a done deal!
Got back from Jacksonville a couple of hours ago and am finishing up setting up my new MacBook Air!
Yes! They got in 10 of them when I called this am and I asked them to hold one for me-5 hour round trip plus I lost out on my $100.00 discount from Apple online store and my gold box discount on Amazon, but it was worth it just to be able to walk out with it and have it right now!
Sweet machine! Congrats to all who have theirs and to those who are still waiting-it's sooooo worth it!!

still no joy here(ordered jan 15 @ 11am) I decided to support my local mac store and placed the order thru them. All they can tell me is that they have not got any notice of a shipment yet. I call them every day to see if it has shipped yet..and reading all these posts every day is not helping. But I know it's going to be worth the wait when I get my 1.8 SSD.
