Yeah my battery life really has been good now, better than the 2020 12.9” even. Been using it for 2 hours and 40 something minutes and used 92% to 70% battery, got it off the charger 18 hours ago so theres a few hours of standby as well. Would give a total battery life of over 12 hours if we extrapolate. Been at around 40-50% brightness most of the time since most of the usage is during the day today.

Battery life has to be good doesn't it? since it's rocking the efficient, all conquering, 5nm beast of a chip, called the M1 chip ?

Hasn't been crap for me lately, but could be better sometimes, I'll hold off judging till these developers start optimising their apps the lazy buggers. ?

Can’t believe you guys snuck into 3rd. Crazy end to the season. Header by Alisson was a definite Omen.
Sure was a crazy season, with all the injuries we had, thought we were gone for all money, never write the reds off ?

14.6 looks to be better for sure… at 78% and that’s with 1 hour 27 minutes of screen time last night with brightness up around 75%. Setting to 35% brightness for the day today and see how it fairs.

At 65% with 2 hours 59 minutes on screen time. about half time at 75% half time at 35% brightness. That’s not bad at all. 14.6 FTW? Also haven’t been using AirPods today so could have to do with Bluetooth as well.

I use my 2018 at 100% brightness... anyone with the 2021 do theirs comparable to what I am doing? How is battery life at higher settings?

I just tried my 2018 11" at 100% brightness in a normally lit room and it felt like it was burning my retinas! I think I usually run my iPad around 25%. Do you have a low-vision issue? I feel like full brightness would give me a headache.

50% was 4 hours and 9 minutes of on screen time. That was about an hour and half at 75% brightness and the rest at 35%. Watching mostly YouTube, and browsing via Reddit and Safari.

With my Air 4, I kept it connected to a power source via the Magic Keyboard USB-C port at all times and it stayed at a full 100% charge all of the time. However, with my M1 12.9” iPad Pro, I tried to same thing and it’s actually losing battery life while it’s plugged in. Is this a reason for worry?

Just means the wattage needed to power the device is beyond the output of the charger you’re using and the device will alow. But that’s VERY interesting. What do you have the brightness at?

Yes I’d be worried. It shouldn’t be doing that. I always use a PD 30 USB-C minimum charger. Haven’t had an issue personally.
