Good news, thankyou.15.0 Beta (24A5264n), for 5 days now, it least 10 powerups/shutdowns and at least 20 reboots (Win11/macOS switching)....all drives mounted properly so far on Sonnet 4xNVMe Silent card.
No, at least no in this BETA version.Good news, thankyou.
Was any reference made to this problem in the release notes?
Ok thankyou. No, it least no in this BETA version.

I too have had similar problems which got a bit better after disabling drive sleep - but they did not go away.
I notice you have 970 EVO Plus drives - I have a mix, a 970 Pro, two 970 EVO Plus, and a 990 Pro. When I had issues with the OWC card the two LEDs for the 970 EVO Plus drives would be flashing.
I have had a bit better luck with a SONNET card but not perfect - again when I loose the NVME it is most consistently the 970 EVO Plus drives.
I have a 990 Pro coming today and I'm going to try and see if removing the 970 EVO Plus drives makes things even better or maybe even solve them (not optimistic as this seems to be more Sonoma than anything).
However, maybe some blades and the 7,1 don't get along. It is like that with the cMP 5,1

I am now running two 4 TB 990 Pros and one 1 TB 970 Pro in the Sonnet M.2 PCIe card. I get dropouts when I boot from Windows into Sonoma and I've had a dropout when I booted from Sequoia back into Sonoma. Can I ask, are you are running the Samsung 4TB 990 Pro SSDs with the Sonnet M.2 PCIe card? Any issues?
Edit: New Sonnet M.2 8x4 Silent Gen4 PCIe Card installed and set up as Raid0 and unfortunately I'm still getting the same issues with the drive not being mounted on boot 😫🔫 and doesn't seem to always just be when switching between bootcamp and Sonoma actually as it's happened a few times on just an OSX restart.I concur! I've noticed the same thing! Always thought that when switching between Windows and Mac OS would be when the drive mount fail seemed to happen.
Which SSDs are you using?Edit: New Sonnet M.2 8x4 Silent Gen4 PCIe Card installed and set up as Raid0 and unfortunately I'm still getting the same issues with the drive not being mounted on boot 😫🔫 and doesn't seem to always just be when switching between bootcamp and Sonoma actually as it's happened a few times on just an OSX restart.
6 more days with this beta with numerous shutdowns/reboots & switching to Windows 11 (which is on NVMe) and drives are still being mounted properly on the boot.15.0 Beta (24A5264n), for 5 days now, it least 10 powerups/shutdowns and at least 20 reboots (Win11/macOS switching)....all drives mounted properly so far on Sonnet 4xNVMe Silent card.
All this feedback is great.6 more days with this beta with numerous shutdowns/reboots & switching to Windows 11 (which is on NVMe) and drives are still being mounted properly on the boot.
Hope this lasts.
BTW, what is your current System Firmware Version ? Mine is:
System Firmware Version: 2062.0.0.0.0 (iBridge: 22.16.5294.0.3,0)
OS Loader Version: 582~242
Good to know, thankyou. Any idea why they did that speciifcally?15.0 Beta 2 (24A5279h) upgraded the firmware and the OS loader versions to:
System Firmware Version: 2065.0.0.0.0 (iBridge: 22.16.10309.5.2,0)
OS Loader Version: 582~390
No idea to be honest, but I noticed few more reboots compared to installing Beta 1, so I presumed it has to be firmware upgrade. I would also like to know the reason for the update, but probably: security & stability updates.Good to know, thankyou. Any idea why they did that speciifcally?
You know what, when it comes prime time, I think I'll upgrade, (the what have I got to lose approach), it can't be any worse. No idea to be honest, but I noticed few more reboots compared to installing Beta 1, so I presumed it has to be firmware upgrade. BTW, 6 more days (20 in total) with no single issue with NVMe mounting, during boot, after switching to Win11 or during use.
Very sad to hear that. Its now more than 3 weeks without NVMe mount issues on Sonnet 4x4 and U.2. on Beta 1 + 2.I've just upgraded to Sequoia Beta 2. My Sonnet 8x4 drive wouldn't even mount. I gave up on the 6th restart and am reverting back to Sonoma. 😫
Be interesting to see what others are having trouble and see if it's machine specific.Very sad to hear that. Its now more than 3 weeks without NVMe mount issues on Sonnet 4x4 and U.2. on Beta 1 + 2.

Ah, thanks, that makes sense. I thought there might have been a cool new combo card of some sort. Wishful thinking.I think the Sonnet card mentioned is a 4x4 NVME and a U.2 drive connected to another card.
No no, Sonnet and StartTech PCIe to U.2 adapter are two separate cards.Be interesting to see what others are having trouble and see if it's machine specific.
