I have told you. Change platform. It will be easier for you, you will not have to complain how terrible is Mac Pro currently, and how terrible and bad is Apple for not fitting to your needs.
You will continue to tell me and many others who will continue to point out the shortcomings of the nMP. As for the nMP I kind of like it. I may have already purchased one if they had updated it to more current technology.

You are not pointing the shortcomings of MP. You are defending your preferences.

Secondly, the shortcomings are only for YOU, and people like you.

Thirdly, there will never be Mac that will fit your preferences. Thats why I say to everyone who complain: change platform. It will be much, much easier for everyone on this forum.

I think everyone here understands that the nMP is not for everyone. Nor should anyone be telling others what they should use or need. I don't think that's what's going on here.
What I believe is that Apple thinks ahead, and that the future, like it or not or even if it fits your needs or not, is more like what the nMP offers now. Was it too ahead of it's time? Maybe, for some, to me it was long overdue already. I love the machine and the concept. Do I need a load of CUDA processing power, or high FPS, or high overclocks, or just plain bragging rights? Hell no. So, the nMP is perfect, for my needs. Others will surely have different needs and will need a different machine for sure, for whatever reason, if not one of the mentioned above. At least for now, Apple doesn't have such a solution, unfortunately. I'm sure everyone here would also like everyone else to find the perfect machine, but at least for now Apple doesn't seem to go back. Let's hope for a comeback, but we all believe it will be difficult.
All this to say that we shouldn't be here exchanging blows. Of course everyone should have their wishes but fighting over it seems radical, we're not kids anymore (although some might be or sound like).
Sometimes someone new comes in just to wreck havoc out of nowhere, and with no apparent purpose. Some other times it's the same ol' with the constant attacks to a spec or part of the machine, or the whole system. Where does that lead?

Ah, I guess I'm just in a real bad mood right now.

You will not find anything that fits your needs in Apple platform.

Do you realize this thread is all about the hope that Apple might give us something that does fit our needs? We know it's a long shot. We like talking about it. It's like talking about winning the lottery. Chances are I won't win, but it's fun to indulge in the fantasy for a bit.

There are dozens of external solutions better suited for your needs. You can go and find them, and save yourself a ton of energy that you are using on complaining.

You're under arrest for not being fun.

Guys, its boring. Absolutely boring, hearing for past 6 years the same complains about how awful and inadequate Mac Pro is. From 2010 how outdated it was. Right now, for past three years: how bad design and form factor is and right now how outdated it is. It is enough. At this time, people should have changed platform or... Build a Hackintosh, for Pete's Sake(whoever Pete is).

About rest of your post. If you would not know specifically what would you do with lottery winning bill you should not even touch it. ;) Everything, business, sport, lottery, relationships you have to be specific about what you want. Otherwise you always get mixed results.

You are right these are my preferences and as such they're shortcomings. When someone makes a statement that my preferences are foolish I'm going to respond. If this bothers you I believe there's an ignore option.

I don't need to switch platforms. I already use several platforms. However I do like Apple products and I see nothing wrong with voicing my displeasure with Apple's products and I will continue to do so.

It may be boring to you. Which begs the question: Why are you here? Likewise it seems these boring threads have more participation in them than any other threads in the forum. If it's not to your liking you're welcome to avoid reading, let alone participating in, the thread that don't interest you.

Why do you hang out here if it is so boring?
Because, on the contrary to most "complainers" here, I rather talk about technology not my preferences.

Biggest impact have had the threads that are currently in the trash, because of too much bickering in them.

It would be nice if we could avoid these negative posts but its not always possible. Some people start threads on legitimate problems or want recommendations on getting a nMP only to have the naysayers take over. That helps no one.

I couldn't agree more.
MacRumours should split the Mac Pro section into three forums:

Classic Mac Pro
New Mac Pro
Whining about the new Mac Pro

And strictly moderate, so we can come here to actually discuss something other than the same old groundhog day complaints about lack of slots and drivebays.

You can't scroll an inch down the thread list without tripping over a freshly baked whine thread, even almost three years later.

But at least the titles are getting more dramatic. Mac Pro Rising

What's next? Mac Pro Ultimate: Return of the Tower

Wait, you didn't complain back in 2010 about how we had too many PCIe slots and CPU sockets? Do you just defend whatever Apple tells you is the best workstation eva?

Yet here you are, wading 28 pages deep into a topic you supposedly hate, just to whine for everyone to leave Apple alone.

I'm gonna guess no, he's probably just tired of the constant broken record moaning about it here.
Almost every thread eventually disintegrates into a "bring back the tower" hissyfit.

I'm not surprised he's bored of it

This thread was fine until the comment police showed up. We are all just speculating and talking about what ifs and having a fun time doing it (the rise of VR and the hardware requirements will certainly have an effect on Apple's pro offerings, for example). Then one or two people inserted themselves into a conversation that they clearly weren't interested in to begin with and shifted the whole tone of the thread, derailing what was harmless rumor speculation and wish lists into complaints about complainers.

We already have an endless supply of existing threads on speculations, wish-lists, rants on the nMP, take your pick. Do we really need yet more on the same topics clogging up this subforum?

You know there are places on the intertoobs where mods will ban users for criticizing Apple. Maybe you would be happier at such fellation forums?

I think so. New threads tend to crop up around product announcements (like AMD GPU roadmaps, intel roadmaps), insider info, and unconfirmed rumors.

No One's post was fun and reignited my interest in a mac pro machine. I got excited. After 5 years I'm ready to ditch my self built windows machine and come back to the mac he describes. If there is truth to his post, I would love it.

Don't worry, though. I got quickly brought down to earth by the couple of party poopers that ruin everyone else's perfectly fine discussion.

No, because at that time I was not involved in any professional work(was studying).

You continue to characterise anyone tired of this endless droning as an apple-devout censorer.

I couldn't care less how much you dislike apple. Fill your house with dart boards with tims face on them for all I care.

At least it'd be original.

If you kept it up the same way for three years though people might grow tired of hearing about it. That doesn't necessarily censorious Apple fanatics though, just sick of the gurning.

People just get tired of hearing the same thing repeated ad nauseum. You could pipe a selection of these threads into mega hal as a dictionary, redirect the output into posts and nobody would know that automation had taken over.

Dart boards with Tim's face? What are you, like 5 years old? I don't hate Tim, he's a great guy. Probably not the right person to lead Apple, but a great guy nevertheless.

You know what I'm tired of? This endless drone from Apple apologists that began back in 2013 and continues unabated. The drone works it's way into every discussion and buzzes in favor of whatever Apple does. It's an unthinking and unrelenting drone, one that dulls the senses and wearies the mind. And illiogical. Above all, it is an illogical drone, moaning in defense of the indefensable.

I'm sorry I assumed from your previous post we had resorted to crudely caricaturing one another's viewpoints.

People are also free to leave any time they wish it if they become bored. The fact is, this is an open discussion forum and people can talk about everything that they want as long at it isn't against the rule. If you don't like what is being said in a thread then for the love of god LEAVE!

If you wan't to play control freak then start your own forum, I promise I'll never register on it.

What I would like to see is more technical discussion, not constant and repeatable complains how Mac Pro is a failure because it doesn't have INTERNAL expansion slots, only external.

How it is a failure because it uses AMD GPUs rather than god himself Nvidia GPUs.

How it is a failure because it has 450W power supply, so it cannot be expanded internally.

How it is a failure because stick anything there based on your preferences.

That is what is constantly written here, by numbers of different people. We all know what a Mac Pro is. It fits some people needs, some people doesn't. Your rants are boring. All you do right now is self defending your preferences. Or maybe simply resisting to change...

It is not me to judge whether your preferences are right or wrong. I do not care about them. But it has been over 6 years now. And the drama is the same. We can talk about technicalities, but how come every single thread is turning into only mocking the Mac Pro 6.1?

Maybe the biggest failure is that the "ranters" fail to see that Apple changed? And that Apple went their own way. Again. Both on computer side, and developers side. What most people do not see is that Apple is developing their software platform(Metal), that will fit their computers(Parallel Processing, and yes, it is not anything groundbreaking).

Last word. I wish I could see more technical discussion than rants. But it is impossible to do when all what happens in discussion is turning into self-defence.

I'm skeptical, but somehow it draws me in. No One is fairly consistent in that he/she only knows what could be learned from seeing the machine but not using it or scrutinizing it's chipset. And some of the descriptions are so classic Apple, with the over-engineered airflow channels and stubborn insistence on two 6-pin PEGs. I know it's probably BS but I can't help but find myself believing.
