I'm certain there are many threads about this, but what would the benefits be if I decide to "upgrade" to a 27" Apple LED Cinema Display? I currently use the good old 30" ACD. And are there any downsides besides the little drop in number of pixels vertically?
So much power and so little RAM? It's almost a waste. I have been over 33GB's in memory use on mine already, but then again I have quite a lot of applications fired up at any time. InDesign is a RAM-hog.

Well I didn't get the ram yet, it's coming in on Monday the 18th of Oct and I hope to see a big difference, The reason I say i might get other 27" inch is i'm battling over should I buy other 27" LED or Final Cut Studios, iMovie just doesn't cut it for me anymore but i'm waiting for Apple to update FinalCut before I buy
SkyLine r34: Where did you pick up that desk? I just relocated my office and need a new desk similar to yours that raises the LCD up to the proper height.

You could be in for a long wait, sounds like there is still a lot of work for the next version.

You guys all have really sweet setups! - When my Pro arrives (in a week apparently, although I wish it was faster), Im just going to have a tiny 1440*900 monitor hooked up to my lowly Quad (Its still gonna be my baby!) - you lot have managed to make me feel jealous when Ive just bought one of the most powerful Macs ever made

I would not recommend running the Pro without the side of the case on though. these cases are designed with airflow in mind and the thermal ramifications of not allowing the air to properly flow past components can be a detriment to the stability of the machine.
looks like I'm not the only one =)
Though, we obviously have different tastes in 30" panels
