Gee, putting a Mac Pro on a glass table would really make me anxious!

The desk is pretty rigid. It use to be the home for two large 6.5" bookshelf speakers, a smaller 20" monitor and an Antec 300 case housing my "pc".

I like the cleaner setup, but yeah the Mac Pro is a hefty one!

I just picked up a second 27" ACD and mine don't align properly together. Do your's align perfectly? Mine are tilted slightly differently so the "seam" between the 2 isn't perfect along the entire edge (it starts to "split apart" as you go towards the top).

Also, is it normal to have some kind of "glue" or something behind the bezel of the screen? 1 of mine has some of this glue at the very bottom edge. I think I'll go swap for another one, but I was just wondering if it's a normal problem.

Awesome setup btw, I saw it on YouTube last week :)

Thanks,

No mine dont align properly either! I use a tiny bit of paper underneath to acheieve that lol! Crazy really for how much they cost. But a low price to pay for such a beautiful display! Two of them do but one doesnt.

I haven't seen the glue problem at all. Not too sure if thats common ?

Thankyou for the compliment!

2008 MP with dual 23" ACDs. Just got done with cleaning my office, hiding the wires. Took forever, but worth it.
Only change since this pic is a non working Drobo, have to send it in for out of warranty repairs.

Tell us more about that desk!!!

Just an ikea desk, the mikael with two of their supports used for another shelf. Total was like 125. If you want I can get you the specific links. I think the specific links are in the regular picture thread for computers.

The desk has held up well for 2 years. It's sturdy enough to balance the two displays too.

What about that table to the left of your desk? Looks very nice alongside it. Is that an Ikea Lack coffee table or something else?

Yup. On each side of the desk are Ikea lack end tables, then for more room is an Ikea lack coffee table. End tables are 9 bucks and coffee table was 20.

Makes a great space for now. Later when I purchase a place I hope to consolidate stuff to a closet, have everything hooked up via ethernet, have the MP hanging by a maccuff and the 2 23" ACDs back on the desk or a single 27.

Been thinking of putting the MP up on a Lack table, but wasn't sure it was sturdy enough. Nice to see it working for you :)

I can tell you that it will hold at least 65 lbs because I have a 65 lbs document scanner on one.

As Jessica said, I wouldn't worry about putting the MP on there. While it may be pressed particle board, it can easily support the weight of the MP.

Plus it's $9.

Nice, definitely going to go this route in the near future.

Wasn't worried so much about the broken table, but a fallen MP ;)

After admiring your setups, here's mine:

Very nice. I've got the same desk (in black) and it's great. Good to see it supports the MP well.

Carefull with those ikea lack long coffee tables, they are pieces of sheit. I had a 42 inch plasma on one and was fine for about 15 days, then it was not...
