Expedited. (2 day. There was no better option available to me. It was that or standard.)

Still can cancel.

Ok, so I ordered mine Saturday, everything stock except for a downgrade to the 160GB HD.

I have already been charged, but I can still cancel. It says it will ship Sept. 1st and arrive Sept. 11th.

What are my chances of having it within the week? I should have just ordered a stock Mac Pro...

Your chances of having it within the week are about 92.68079823746523126637725367483672834%.

If that's not precise enough for you, let me know, and i'll see if I can refine my estimates.

Those are good chances. My 2407 should be here by the middle of the week. I need something besides my 12" PB to hook up to it. :D

Believe me, that Mac Pro will ship and arrive sooner than you expect. Much sooner.

x1900's shipping soon?

So, I called Apple today to modify my order (I wanted to downgrade my HDD). Well, I was told this was not possible because my order was "preparing for shipment." When I asked if it would actually ship own soon, he spoon-fed me an answer about how 3-5 weeks puts me right at Sept 12. I asked again, and he once again said it was "preparing for shipment."

Take this with a grain of salt, but perhaps all of our x1900 configured macs really will ship sooner than expected. At least I'm hoping so, my PB-G4 needs a friend after all these years!

Oh ... say it isn't so! I just checked my order status (I have been checking it like a maniac every half hour ... lol) and it now states that my Mac Pro *CAN* be cancelled. What???

Damn Fedex!

I wish I hadn't chosen standard delivery on my Mac Pro. I bought it stock (extra RAM only) in order to get it faster, and since it shipped (ahead of time btw - thanks Apple!) I have been checking the tracking info like nuts.

Here's what today's (actually, this hour's) damn fedex tracking info gives me for the Mac Pro. Three days with zero updates.

Even worse, here is the tracking info for an iMac we ordered, which apparently got on a truck, in the wrong state for final delivery, two days ago.

I have news for everyone.

Every single X1900XT equipped Mac Pro, will be shipped by Friday of this week.

I bet that if I called apple to change my order now, they'd tell me the same thing, cause online it says my order cannot be cancelled.

for people that think that the x1950 will ship with the new macs, dont get excited. even if they do the 1950 could be obsolete in just 5 months cause of dx10 and vista. i know, i know, its heartbreaking for me 2:( speaking of that, is the 1900 xt dx10 compatible?

I finally sucked it up and ordered a macpro and i downgraded to the 2 2ghz xeon , and upped to bluetooth aside from that i couldn't afford any more, and i ordered this last night, and it says it will ship in four days from now (september 1st) :D. It doesn't seem to be an issue for me to get mine to ship.

bonus : finally an excuse to get an ipod and spend an extra few dollars and ge ta 4gb nano to fit my library. :)

oH BOO HOO, Theres new technology coming out in JUST 5 MONTHS! WOW! That's so surprising! It's never happened before in the history of technology!

WOW! Just 5 months? Man! That can't be right. In the past decade, new technonlogy has only been coming out every few years!!!!

Jesus christ. Calm down. It's nothing. It's the way it works. dx10, dx10, dx10, bla bla bla. dx10 is not god you know. The x1900xt will be a very powerfull video card for at least another year or two.

Say, what is dx10 anyway?

Is it faith or something else that's leading you to this conclusion?

In reference to people's Mac Pros moving from cancellable to uncancellable to and fro, and people who orderd on the 7th not having a "being prepared" order, and people who ordered just last week having Apple tell them that they're going to ship any day now: they're probably not going to ship in priority of dates because that's inefficient. We should try tomorrow to look for a pattern in whose is being prepared and whose isn't and see if there is a pattern at all. My guess is that the most complex and expensive orders are getting fulfilled first for customer satisfaction after paying three grand for a computer.

I was being sarcastic.

I don't see why you guys are whining about dx10. When video cards have dx10, apple will offer one in the Mac Pro, and we'll be able to buy it as an upgrade kit, and put it in our Mac Pro's.

Play nice children. ;)

Still the same situation here, 19th shipment, 21st delivery, still can cancel, still waiting. That is all. LOL

One bit of good new though, Aspyr sent out their newest newletter today and announced a few more UB updates for games. They are working on UB updates for Command and Conquer Generals and Zero Hour, they haven't said anything about those in awhile.

True, though I'm going to pick up Act of War-Direct Action for Windows (debating if I'll try Crossover, a virtualization solution with better game support or Bootcamp) and World in Conflict when that comes out. That is unless by some miracle Aspyr ports them (not holding my breath). Gotta do something to excercise that X1900. :)
