Cool! :) Have you been able to run any benchmarks on games? Quake 4, Doom 3 etc?
I'm not a serious gamer, so the only benchmark I can provide is for WoW running at 1920x1200 with all the graphics settings maxed... ~60fps :) That's just running around solo, though; I'm sure it'd be a bit slower in a raid. I only play solo (antisocial people can enjoy MMORPG's, too!), so maybe I'll let my friend play his next raid on my machine to really test it.

And how about the noise from that card?
I can't really tell, because there are too many other things running in this room, but I'll experiment later when I have time to shut everything else down.

Does by all settings match mean you have terrain distance up all the way? I've always wanted to run WoW like that but I can't with my current card.

*&%!*

Just went online with the Apple Store to check my order status and got this:

We're Sorry
A technical difficulty has prevented us from processing your request. Please click here to return to the Apple Online Store.

Waiting since August 7th for my 3.0 Mac Pro/X1900XT/no wireless/iWork pre-installed is frustrating enough, now this!

Has anyone gotten shipping notification for a Mac Pro with the ATI card and without wireless? As others have noted, regardless of being one of the earliest orders, this configuration seems to be taking longer than those with wireless.

I logged into the store and clicked on order status. I got the following:

Apple's Online and phone Order Status services are temporarily unavailable due to a scheduled upgrade to our systems.

We apologize for any inconvenience.

Order status back up -- no change -- Est shipping the 12th, delivery the 19th. :(

Called and got through to an Apple rep named Brandy, asked about upgraded shipping, and she gave me free overnight shipping (MacPro coming from a California assembly facility). At least that cuts the wait time a few days! Thanks to those on this forum who said we could get upgraded shipping by asking for it!

I asked if the ship date would be any sooner if I added wireless or removed iWork, and she said no, that different warehouses were getting MacPro's out at different rates -- there is no formula, but promised shipping on or before the date in my order status.

Do you have Full Screen Glow effect turned on? That really kills the 7300 GT card.

My Mac Pro's with X1900's have had their delivery date slashed from the revised 28th September to, wait for it... Friday! That's quite impressive, it's even a full week earlier than the original delivery date I was given. Shipped today.

With or without Bluetooth/Airport? Any other non-stock features?

Keep in mind if you have Vertical Sync turned on in the Video Options menu, WoW, will cap your FPS at your monitors refresh rate. The Mac Pro with the X1900 will run WoW turned all the way up.

Anybody using Boot Camp with the X1900 XTs yet?

Also, I sounded pitiful enough on the phone with Apple to get free 2-day, woo!

Same here, except it got far enough to know that this sucker /is/ in my city as of 4am... FedEx is flaking, as usual... and as usual, their 'by X pm' remarks aren't accurate at all. :/

FedEx tracking sucks. When my monitors came, they were expected delivery "10:30AM" ... didn't get here until like 5PM.

I have actually noticed that the slower the shipping, the more actively they update the tracking... overnight shipping is lucky to even get anything beyond: 'We have it' and 'we delivered it'.

Sad thing is that I can /walk/ to the depot in less time then it takes for them to drop it off... kinda sucks that I am always on the tail-end of any FedEx Express delivery route because of how close to the sorting facility I am.
