To our Canadian friends, I'm sorry to hear that your systems haven't shipped yet :(

On another note, My Dell FPW2005 20" widescreen came with a single link dvi cable. Will this cable work with my x1900 or will I need to get a dual link cable. Can the FPW2005 even take advantage of a dual link cable?

The single link will suport the max resolution of the 20" monitor, no need for dual link.

If it makes the Canadians feel any better, mine hasn't shipped yet.

I ordered mine on August 7th and I live in Colorado. No update, no notification, no nothin!

So don't feel too bad...

Thanks for the support.
That sucks btw when you see people all over the world getting theirs.
Make me feel like a retarded canadian dork stereotype.
Like if all canadians use slingshots at war, drives all ski doo's and ride horses instead of driving cars:D

Sorry for the lousy pictures. I'd rather get this beast started up and running. More pics to come later.

how loud is it?

I've been very anxious to hear how loud the X1900. I've heard the stock model on the PC's is VERY loud so I'd love to know how the once shipped with the Mac Pro is.

Thanks!

Damn, that thing is a beast. Where does the power cable plug into?
It's plugged in to the bottom 6-pin MOLEX connector

It is SCARY quiet. I have run it under load yet, but tooling around in Final Cut it has been nearly silent.

More to come . . .

I called the Apple Store at lunchtime today to ask what was happening with my order and was told that it would be dispatched on or before the 25th of September. Checking the on-line order showed the same date as an estimated date of shipping.

On getting home tonight, I fire up Mail and - lo! - there is an email from the Apple Store telling me that the order was shipped today (7th) and is due for delivery on the 12th.

Yay! I just need to get some more hard drives for it before it gets here.
