Was that how long yours was delayed?
Yep, it should have been 11th of April to me in the UK, UPS confirmed this.

Then it got LOST? yesterday they said it would be delivered on the 19th April. Possible delayed another day or 2 by Easter.

Original Apple hope was 25th April.

Be careful. They charge cards before it ships, and sometimes there is still a long wait for Apple products.

B&H says that it's in stock, as well as 10/32/2TB. Everything else is preorder with an estimated availability of mid-May, which sounds like an arbitrary date. I'd put a lot of emphasis on the word estimated.

However, note that B&H will not accept return of a computer if the box has been opened. It's an exception to its otherwise generous return policy.

The pallet being lost has always been conjecture from this thread, no?

Anyway, my order was also stuck in HK since the 4th and it just cleared customs in Taiwan earlier today. We probably just needed to sit and wait for the delays to sort themselves out.

Where do the flights land in the UK from Germany nowadays, is it East Midlands?

Well, at least two of us were told by UPS international support agents that it was indeed "lost". I would have probably been patient and waited until tomorrow (Apple's estimate) if UPS hadn't set a delivery date of 4/6 for me which came and went well before I called. Because of that, I wanted to get things rolling in case it really had gone missing. Mine would seem to be sharing the ride with yours.

I think “considered lost” after X days, contact the shipper to file a claim, is expected standard customer service operating procedure for anyone who has received many shipments from UPS. It means “since you are the receiver and not the shipper, we aren’t going to help you.”

The other variation is “we have a contract with Apple” (not with you).

Sounds like there's a problem at UPS affecting certain shipments. If you've been following news about Covid in Shanghai and Hong Kong, this shouldn't be surprising. I'm kind of amazed at the reaction, actually. You'd think that some people have no idea what the pandemic is about or what impact it's had.
I'm fully aware of the pandemic situation, the effects it had on me and my relatives and still does. I cannot imagine how it must be for anyone living in Shanghai or Hong Kong at this moment.

The overpromising is related to the answer in my specific case that I've got from Apple: they admit to have lost track on my package in Shanghai, but ensure it will be delivered within the original time window. I don't get the logic from these statements, which I reflected to the employee during the call, but they kept persistent in their answer.

According to UPS my studio max is supposed to be delivered today by 7pm in US…..while shipping details says it’s still in HK since 4/11. Apple app says delivery is May 7-13.

Seems UPS tracking is seriously screwed up and not really tracking the actual package .
Bets are on for the mac showing up tonight…
I'm so curious to know the outcome. I have an Ultra scheduled for the 20-27 and I'm leaving the following week. I don't know if I want to cancel the order or keep it.

A recap on my Mac Studio story. I was given an initial 21st April delivery date to UK then I received 12th April date from UPS, bit excited by that, as UPS had my status as arrived in UK. I told a client to move our project forward, fast Mac will be here. 12th April came and went I called Apple. Guy at apple was sympathetic and contacted UPS, they sent me an email and said no idea where parcel is, will look into it. So at this point Im stressed out. UPS also sent me an email: "Did you get parcel? Or did you get a replacement?" Oh great, that really makes me feel confident in UPS service. They still didn't know where it was. So had a couple of sleeps and apologised to client. Then update. Its in Hong Kong. And as of today... still apparently in Hong Kong waiting reschedule. I havent received any email as a follow up from either UPS or Apple. tbh, Im more than unimpressed with both. Consider how much profit Apple has made out of me/us/people. I guess what they want me to do is call them every hour and give them grief. But thank goodness for this forum because without it I'd be even more stressed. Does anyone actually believe people have been getting compensation? I heard someone got a nice mouse. Can't be true... surely. I mean, what do they even care?

Well, as expected delivery date on UPS changed from 4/14 to “The delivery date will be provided as soon as possible.”….
Apple store on apple.com now says 4/22. Apple app on iOS says May 6-13……total confusion….

As people were commenting in previous posts , logistics is being impacted by COVID lockdowns but then we should be see ONE updated delivery date, instead of 3 different ones.

Not counting the fact that the trade-in clock started ticking 2 days ago…

The has already been discussed. My understanding is that Apple will adjust the 14 day return period if there is a shipping/delivery delay.
Correct, an Apple rep told me that the 14 day period starts when the last of the 2 boxes (Mac Studio or Trade-In Kit) is delivered to you. I asked because I got the TIK on the 6th after my computer arrived at Chek Lap Kok on 4/4/22, and the computer will be delivered tomorrow according to UPS and Apple (flying over the ocean at he moment...).

US here also, and the 1st Apple rep was the one who told me it would start when the last of the 2 boxes arrives. Yesterday I talked to another rep and she said it was true, and that I should get an email from Apple regarding the trade-in once the computer arrives. UPS has it in Anchorage with a delivery tomorrow, 4/15/22.
