In my call to UPS international support yesterday, the agent said that they considered the package lost. I gather that Aaton35 was told something similar. What lost means I don't know, perhaps it's just the easiest thing for them to enter to start an investigation. As others have pointed out it's difficult to imagine how a pallet of two could go missing, but I'm sure the pandemic situation probably has something to do with it.

Interestingly, as of this evening, the UPS app shows a rescheduled delivery for April 15 (matching Apple's conservative estimate when the studio actually shipped) on my tracking number. There is no actual scan activity since 4/4 in HK though, just the notation that an investigation was opened yesterday.

We shall see.
My UPS tracking just changed from Unknown to Friday 15th of April delivery, however, still no scans since April 4. Not sure if this is just UPS saying the same thing they did last week when estimating a delivery date or if it's actually moving. We will know in the morning as it will have to make its way out of China today if it's going to get here on Friday. No further communication from Apple or UPS since my inquiries yesterday. Not holding out much hope here...

Hmmmm, perhaps, given the lockdown situation in China, the DHL - UPS, logistics firms may still be operating - moving things around - simply in smaller quantities - - thereby slower. Then, with those lockdown restrictions in place, - they're unable to have all their staff on site - to scan items at each point. So, items are simply moving without being tracked - at a pace that doesn't require a lot of personal, and even those working - to do so every day for a limited number of hours. In essence - the equipment is crawling along at a snail pace. Then, once the item arrives at a destination country with a different environment, - they're able then to scan the items to allow transparancy of the movement of the item till its delivery!

Patience - patience, and hope Apple would gift everyone impacted by the delays some gesture of goodwill! Wishful thinking!

My Studio left cologne last night so I would expect a scan in NL anytime soon. Fingers crossed but we are about to enter a long weekend holiday so it’s today or next Tuesday I guess.

I've definitely had experiences with UPS and the USPS where things "disappear" and then I find them in my mailbox and then 2-3 days later are marked as delivered . . . tracking ain't gospel. And UPS' tracking has certainly gotten less reliable over the past couple years.
"Lost" could mean that the person on the phone doesn't know where the pallet is, but that doesn't mean that someone at UPS doesn't know where it is.

Like @Giuseppe68 my order was shipped the 2nd of April - but through TNT. Since then no updates - except of an information about delays. TNT told me to be patient - what in happening in China since 12 days?

Do you have an UPS or DHL tracking? Did your Mac Studio shipped from Shanghai or from Hong Kong?

UPS via Hong Kong. Arrived HK on 8 April and left on the 13th via Taiwan, Dubai and cologne. Last message was out for delivery from Rotterdam to Delft.

Studio 10/32/32/1TB. Ordered 22 March.

Ok, thank you for the informations. Problems about shipping delay are all related to the Mac Studios that are in the UPS Shanghai Hub and directed to EU - Eindhoven that are trackable only once in EU and shipped from there with DHL.
We know that Apple ships those parcels from China with UPS but are only trackable by Apple Support.
Because we all have a DHL tracking from Eindhoven that is stuck on 'shipping label created' since end of March...

I urge anyone in this situation to call Apple Support and ask to open an investigation.
So we can put pressure on UPS to change delivery path and dispatch our Mac Studios, for example from Hong Kong, where the planes, albeit rationed, still depart regularly for Europe.

The problem, based on what the Apple specialist told me yesterday, is linked to all parcels leaving Shanghai and bound for Europe for problems related to Covid lockdown. China has placed an embargo on flights from Shanghai to Europe until mid-May .....

Apple estimated delivery of my high spec Mac Studio end of April, but then I got an email from UPS for delivery on 12th April between 10am-12pm, I cancelled some meetings to clear the day, I waited and nothing arrived. I called apple and they took my details and said they would pass it on to UPS. My status with UPS is now:

Estimated delivery Information not available.
Investigation Opened We've begun an investigation to locate the parcel.

I received another email from UPS today:

I am writing in regards to an investigation of a package ___. Could you please advise if you have received this package? Did you receive a replacement?

It was sent to you by *** APPLE DISTRIBUTION *** and it was scheduled for delivery on ** 12/04/22*** .
Also, could you please advise if the delivery address we have is full and correct:

Reading other people's posts here it seems the Mac users know more about what is going on at UPS than UPS.

I have no idea what I'm supposed to do next. Apple... please don't use UPS.
Checked this morning for updates

Package is delayed in transit. Delivery will be rescheduled. Chek Lap Kok, Hong Kong

Sorry if anyone is on the 'lost pallet', I still might be (I don't trust these UPS updates) I'm hoping I'm still in the game. I'll update as things progress.

A couple of days ago I was told by Apple Support that my Ultra had finally arrived to the Netherlands, but that turned out to be a lie. I have been calling again after seeing no movement and they are saying again that's still in Asia... And that was shipped on Mar 29.

I just contacted the support who confirmed the problem without giving me any indication on the possible delivery date of the product.

Welcome to the club! Ask them to escalate it to “Ireland HQ”. You won’t get anything out of it right now but hopefully we’ll get the attention of some Ops people in the HQ and will expedite that.

Apple really needs to become less dependant on that stupid country. I haven't got any update since April 6 and there is nothing Apple can do right now. They charged 4.6k though..

Can't believe that I am the only one here unfortunate to have TNT as courier. My shipment left Shenzhen on the 23rd of March but now it is stuck in Belgium since the 29th. No movement at all from that point... Was hoping to get it before Easter.

Order placed March 9.

I will be contacting Apple, as it is the final day of my original April 7 - April 14 delivery window.

My communication with them be be based around the fact I don’t expect them to be able to control a worldwide pandemic and shipping delays caused by lockdowns overseas. However, I do expect a much higher level of communication from Apple — such as reaching out to me proactively to let me know what is going on with this order I placed Mach 9 (something they have not done).

I can see how the lack of communication would be really irritating - especially with such a long delay. We shouldn’t be chasing up tracking numbers and delivery compLy flight schedules to work out what might be going wrong. I can’t complain, my Studio is out for delivery 2 weeks early but I really feel for those who have been stuck with no communication for weeks in Shanghai or HK. It’s quite obvious that the Chinese government’s decisions to lock down entire cities and regions is to blame. We know it, apple knows it but they still won’t proactively communicate.

My order was also supposed to be delivered on April the 7th by DHL Express (to the Netherlands) and was "shipped" late March.

I'm being greeted with this message on the tracking website:
Shipper has generated a shipment label, but the shipment has not yet been handed over to DHL

A call to both DHL and Apple did not give me any information of the whereabouts of my order... Apple basically said it had to do with the current situation in China and to keep an eye on the DHL tracking website.

My m1 ultra studio has an estimated delivery of 4/22-4/29 here to the US. Got the shipping notification, but looks like the latest updates are:

Arrived at Facility
04/12/2022 5:19 PM
Chek Lap Kok, HK

The package is at the clearing agency awaiting final release.
04/12/2022 2:06 AM

Are people seeing the packages get stuck in HK now due to lockdowns? Or is this just normal travel time?

Out of interest.

If an Apple purchase is made in the name of one person with an Apple ID, can it be gifted to another family person prior to its first registration as a new device with Apple??

Apple has profited for 20 years by building all their products in China, if they have to pay some compensation to customers for Chinese COVID policies this time around... so be it.
