Another update: my Max was marked as delivered by UPS and Apple, and “left at my front door.” Unfortunately, that is not true as I’ve checked our front door, and both our neighbors’. So I now have an open investigation with UPS about where the package actually is.

Oh man, that's rough. I had the same thing happen with Fedex Ground once, who delivered an expensive camera by GPS proximity, dropping it off at a nearby house with a different number on a different street. I felt lucky I had security cam footage of the time it was said to be delivered, and clearly showing no delivery... But in the end, the person who received the packaged walked it over to our house (on the correct street!) a few hours later.

Gather your evidence and be firm. Triple check all possible drop-off locations. And good luck!!!

Sounds similar to the status of my package. The label has been created, hasn't been picked up, the source address shows AI in the US (TN), and the delivery estimate is "5/18/22 11 AM - 3 PM". I'm assuming it is still in Shenzhen, China.

I guess it is in the US after all? I just got an update that it is on the way from KY. Really confusing shipping updates.

I'm taking UPS's new delivery date for my order with a grain of salt. Earlier, UPS “support” told me that it has no information on when it will send my order to the U.S., and doesn’t know why UPS’s tracking system has been providing me with completely inaccurate delivery information: post #3568

For anyone interested, B&H has a 20core Ultra w/ 64gigs of ram and 2TB SSD in stock right now.

That's the 64 core gpu version coming out at $5399.
Good deal if anyone wants that spec as the Payboo credit card pays all the sales tax.
Me? My base Ultra after Apple store tax - Applecard cash back = $4237.
So.... $1200 for an extra 1TB of storage and 16 more GPU cores. Not worth it for me as I mainly use external storage and don't need the extra GPU power.

Happy to make this update! My Max has arrived 5 hours after it was initially marked as delivered. Reporting it lost and two calls to UPS later and it appeared on our doorstep about 10 minutes ago. (My wife sent proof of life to me.) Hope everyone else’s deliveries run more smoothly and show up soon.

It means either part or the whole of your shipment is being processed by a shipper who is not UPS.
Such as Apple hires a freight forwarder who will choose between UPS / Fedex / DHL depending on the best option at the time.

Interesting that we have the same specs and both computers arrived in Hong Kong airport at the same time. Mine also arrived on the 16th at 6:11 p.m.

UPS now says that I'll get delivery on Friday, but after my discussion today with UPS (post #3568) I'll believe it when I see it.

Re your experience today, I've also had a significant delivery go "missing", and it isn't fun.

It is plausible. It is supposed to snow here on Friday and into Saturday. That would have been a good time to be indoors with my new computer. 80's today and tomorrow. Crazy Denver Weather

I noticed a reference to UPS World Ease in my tracking info. Per UPS website it "helps you to ship packages to multiple recipients within a country or the European Union (EU) as one shipment that clears customs as a single transaction." That makes sense as why some of us see the same dates and times from Apple.

I think one of todays UPS flight from HK to ANC never left. There is a changed flight number and delays for a UPS Flight. That might be why my expected delivery was pushed back....and maybe why yours is MIA.

I'm working on a private pilot license but haven't really figured out FightAware and FlightRadar24. Looks like you have.

This is the main reason why I'm interested in the logistics of getting these computers from China to North America, Europe, Australia.

One of the jobs for the new Studio Max will be X-Plane flight simulation, which so far is proving to be a pretty good training aid.

UPS has flown my Max from Hong Kong to Taiwan, which pretty much assures that it will be delivered tomorrow.

It looks like UPS sent it on the same flight to Taiwan that @evilhsoj's Max was apparently sent on yesterday, UPS61. My departure and arrival times are almost identical to the ones shown in his post #3583 above.

Next stop Anchorage (see the post four below).

Further to the post four up...

Flight UPS61 continues from Taiwan to Anchorage and has just departed Taiwan. My Max and @michaelm_photo's are probably both on the flight.

It's scheduled to arrive in Anchorage at 1 PM local time (5 PM EDT). From there, it's about a 6 hour flight to Louisville. Then mine will be flown to JFK (about a 90 minute flight), arriving in New York sometime after midnight EDT. At the moment, UPS says that my Max will be delivered tomorrow between 11:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. EDT, which sounds quite realistic.

UPS has updated my Shipment Progress, saying that my Max left Taiwan at 8 PM local time. This effectively confirms that my Max is on the flight to Anchorage shown in the post just above.

Another mini update from me:

Status is now shipped, I've also gotten notified by both Apple and DHL. The only shipping info I have at the moment is that the DHL Center in the Netherlands have recieved the shipment info from Apple and created a label. So I assume it's leaving China, Malaysia etc now. Apple has updated the delivery date to be the 9th of June. The window was previously set to 16-27th or of June or something like that. I still hope Apple is conservative in their estimates and that it will get here sooner!
