Another mini update from me:

Status is now shipped, I've also gotten notified by both Apple and DHL. The only shipping info I have at the moment is that the DHL Center in the Netherlands have recieved the shipment info from Apple and created a label. So I assume it's leaving China, Malaysia etc now. Apple has updated the delivery date to be the 9th of June. The window was previously set to 16-27th or of June or something like that. I still hope Apple is conservative in their estimates and that it will get here sooner! :)

Apple's June 9 delivery date is just a notional date until DHL gives you a "real" date, which it should shortly. For US orders at least, the Apple date has no practical significance once UPS takes the package.

When my order's status changed to Shipped on May 16, Apple gave me a delivery date of May 27th. Within a couple of hours, UPS gave me a much earlier date (May 18), although it has since slipped by two days due to the bottleneck at Hong Kong airport. My Max will be delivered tomorrow, the 20th.

Apple's order page still says May 27th. However, it also says:

"we recommend visiting "Track shipment" for the most up-to-date delivery information, as well as options to reschedule or hold for pickup."

This is interesting.

On April 28th, 9to5 Mac reported that a Foxconn factory in São Paulo had started assembling the iPhone 13. If the factory is also producing the Mac Studio, that's news that does not appear to have been reported.

9to5 Mac story: https://9to5mac.com/2022/04/27/appl...hone-13-in-brazil-but-not-the-iphone-13-mini/
A colleague suggested that since we don't have Apple Stores all orders from Brazil are centered in a single receiving facility that distributes them.
Mine is "en route for delivery today", and I am clicking refresh on the delivery company's site as fast as I can :)

Made an account to post here, as I've been following this thread since recently ordering my studio and display.

Could be that delays on the max's are getting sorted, or I just lucked out with timing. I ordered a base model max, but upgraded storage to 4tb.

Initial Order Date: 5/12
Entered Preparing to Ship: 5/18
Shipped: 5/19

Currently in Hong Kong. Estimated delivery from UPS is 5/23. EDIT: I'm in Northeast, US.

Unfortunately, my Studio Display is still "processing" so I may be stuck with a useless aluminum cube for awhile, since I don't have any other displays here. Seems people are mostly seeing movement on the machines, and the displays are trickling through slower...

Seeems it takes a full week from China to Europe´s doorsteps. Lot´s of early bto Maxes should have landed by tomorrow.
Congratulations.
The "ultra early adopters" pay more, wait longer without any reasonable explanation from Apple.
Ten+ weeks is the longest wait for a new Mac for me, and I´ve had some (if not all of them; addicted since 1984, actually, some of you may remember: 1984, 1stMacKeynote, yes that´s 38 yrs).
Anyway, another great machine - probably worth the wait.
And, hey Apple, I´m still walking.

Due to delivery progress, this will probably be the second-last update on a group that ordered a Studio Max with specs 32 core graphics, 64GB memory and 2TB storage.

Maybe it’s a coincidence, but it looks like six orders spanning March 24 - April 15 for this configuration, from two continents, will all be delivered May 18-20 (@michaelm_photo might be a day later due to distance from Louisville and a winter storm forecast for his area).

Order dates and UPS delivery estimates as of Thursday May 19 at 12 PM Eastern Daylight Time:

@BenGieCruz (US), March 24: Delivered May 18! (delivery originally scheduled for May 16)
@cinder (US), March 30: Max arrived in Louisville this morning, delivery scheduled for tomorrow (originally May 18)
@evilhsoj (US), March 31: Delivered May 18! (originally May 16)
My Order (US), April 1: Max arrives in Anchorage this afternoon, delivery scheduled for tomorrow (originally May 18)
@placerights09 (UK), April 8: Delivered May 19! (originally May 16, then May 18)
@michaelm_photo (US), April 15: Max arrives in Anchorage this afternoon; delivery scheduled for May 23 but delivery tomorrow/Saturday possible (originally May 19)

UPS says that my Max has now cleared US customs. However, my order isn't in Anchorage. It's on a plane between Taiwan and there (post #3599 above), which means that my order has been pre-cleared and there won't be a customs delay between landing in Anchorage and proceeding to Louisville.

According to Flight Aware, the flight is running early and my Max should arrive in Anchorage in about 2½ hours. Add some fuel and then off to Louisville. Final destination for my Max is JFK, about a 90 minute flight from Louisville.

This looks to be the whole flight itinerary for my Max.

A single UPS flight, UPS61, covers Hong Kong > Taiwan > Anchorage > Louisville.

Depending on what flight it's on from Louisville, my Max should arrive in New York (JFK) at 4:45 a.m. or 5:30 a.m. EDT tomorrow morning.

Based on previous experience with shipments arriving at JFK at that time of the morning, I think that there's a very good chance that I'll receive my Max tomorrow. I'm less sure that UPS will deliver it, as it currently says it will, by 3:30 p.m.

Re the itinerary below, my Max should arrive at Anchorage about 35 minutes from now.

For anyone interested, I've made links to these flights on FlightAware, which has detailed info, a map showing the flight and live tracking.

Hong Kong to Taipei
UPS Flight 61
Departed: 4:30 a.m. China Time
Arrived: 5:40 a.m. China Time

Taipei to Anchorage
UPS Flight 61 Continued
Departed: 8:15 p.m. China Time
Scheduled to Arrive: 1:00 p.m. Alaska Time

Anchorage to Louisville
UPS Flight 61 Continued
Scheduled to Depart: 3:00 p.m. Alaska Time
Scheduled to Arrive: 1:00 a.m. Friday, Eastern U.S. Time

From Louisville, my Max could be on either of two UPS flights that leave Louisville for JFK only 35 minutes apart.

First Flight, Louisville to New York JFK
UPS1114
Scheduled to Depart 3:15 a.m. Friday, Eastern U.S. Time
Scheduled to Arrive: 4:45 a.m. Friday, Eastern U.S. Time

Second Flight, Louisville to New York JFK
UPS1112
Scheduled to Depart 3:50 a.m. Friday, Eastern U.S. Time
Scheduled to Arrive: 5:30 a.m. Friday, Eastern U.S. Time

I got the same "thanks" email. At first I thought it was going to be a "Preparing to ship" email, but then realized it was just the "we haven't forgotten about your order" thing. 🤷‍♂️
Tell them thanks for the Thanks and why Ultras are so much behind Maxes and why they wouldn´t tell us understandable reasons for the disaster in the first place

I got mail from Apple, automatic I believe, with thanks for my patience and that they will send the order soon. This is regarding 2 Mac Studios that I canceled 😂
They are clearly canceled on my page, I guess it's just chaos at Apple for all ordered Mac Studios.

It would be a lot better if they could send my Studio Display pronto 🤬
I got that kind of email this afternoon. My Studio was delivered weeks ago.

Received that email today as well, but already canceled my order because it kept slipping further and further. At this point waiting to see what happens with the Mac mini.

Must mean they're having a really hard time trying to fill these orders.

I just received the same email. Thanks for your patience, with no other updated info. Doesn't fill me with confidence that my order might ship anytime soon, despite them having charged my card a couple of days ago.

Side note: my free AirPods are supposed to arrive today, as noted on UPS tracking. But the tracking page doesn't show a local arrival scan, or "out for delivery" which in my experience means I won't be seeing them today. fml

The lack of actual information is mystifying to me honestly 🧐

**EXCITING UPDATE!! Apple just messaged me to advise today is the day and it’s on board for delivery 🎉🎉 No update to tracking, so they know something that I don’t.
