Further to the post two up, the outer shipping box is a snap to open. You don't need a knife. It opens by pulling a single tab. This photo doesn't show the tab (I've pulled it away), but you'll see it on the outside of the box. From there, the box opens like in the photo and you can collapse the sides.

Happy for you F-train! Truly appreciate the effort you’ve gone to throughout this journey.

I hope lots of deliveries happen today for everyone else.

First impressions.. holy moly it’s fast! Basically silent too - haven’t heard it make a whisper. Very happy camper today!

Anyone has ordered an Ultra with 128Gb of RAM?
I have a feeling mine will definitely not arrive earlier because of the RAM upgrade...

I placed the order on march 18 and delivery estimate is June 7-21.

Get a feeling it might even be delayed...

Not sure if this is the thread to really discuss this, but it seems like the Studio Displays have some limited stock available as of today in-store. I just grabbed one at my local Apple Store and cancelled my display order which was estimated end of July.

In other news, seemingly no movement on the machine today at all in Hong Kong.

Where? The Apple website was saying mid July this week and now it says August. :O
I really wanted to have the Mac Studio set up this summer as I'll have 2 months off from work! Wanted to upscale videos. I guess I can use a random display. lol

I'm so happy for all the people that got their Studios today! And I'm jealous over how much fun you're having trying them out. A new computer is always exciting.

Meanwhile, no movement at all on my Ultra order, other then being charged good money a few days ago. I was hoping that meant that shipping was imminent, but apparently not. Just curious, how long was your wait once you got charged for real?

Tomorrow marks 10 weeks since I placed my order. "Thanks for your patience" indeed.

I'm with you on the fans. I truly wasn't sure what to expect with some others complaining about fan whine. After running it for almost a week I can honestly say I can't hear anything and I don't think the fans have ever came off of idle.

I did, also on March 18. My delivery guesstimate window is June 6->21. I too will be surprised if it lands anywhere in that range.

Providence, RI. Checked the site this morning and they were showing no stock of any kind of studio displays anywhere near me. Randomly refreshed my window around 11:00 am and it said in-stock and I ordered one online, just went and picked it up. Standard/tilt.

My timeline, which I think is fairly typical except for the May 3rd change in delivery window:

Studio Max (U.S. Delivery)
Max Options: 32 graphics cores, 64GB memory, 2TB storage

April 1: order with delivery June 27 - July 11
May 3: delivery changed to June 22 - 29
May 10: credit card payment to Apple "pending" (funds reserved)
May 14: "Preparing to Ship"
May 16: “Shipped”, Max delivered from Shenzhen to Hong Kong airport; UPS schedules delivery for May 18
May 17: credit card payment to Apple "posted" (card charged, Apple paid)
May 19: UPS flies my order Hong Kong > Taiwan > Anchorage > Louisville > New York
May 20: Delivered in New York at 10 AM local time

My Max arrived with macOS Monterey 12.3.1 installed (released March 31) and I've updated it to 12.4 (released May 16), which is the first update since 12.3.1. As usual, the update took awhile.

As you can see, Hong Kong is a bottleneck. That has been the case for a few weeks. The problem may not be easy to fix. Even if Hong Kong is at 100% productivity, UPS has a limited number of planes and there is a safety limit to how many planes can take off from Hong Kong per day. It is already the world's busiest cargo airport.

I see one in stock 40 miles away from there. I'm in Los Angeles, CA. :(

Ultra 20/48/128/8 on March 10th through a reseller. First indication was 8 weeks. It´s 10 weeks now and no signal at all. But first early March Ultras are out, but no full-blown ones, I guess.

I was also expecting the worst having read those threads about the noise. But I can't hear it, if I strain I can hear a faint flow of air out the back of the machine - maybe that's due my younger years spent listening to music too loud through earbuds.... ?

Next to me on my desk I have an array of about 23 spinning metal external hard drives. For years now, there's been this constant background noise, the only time they were quiet was when I shut down my iMac.
The Studio, however, spins them down when not in use.
So as well as the Studio being quieter than the iMac itself, the ambient noise in my room has dropped significantly. its so quiet at night now, it's almost too quiet to sleep !

I'm delighted to say that this will be the last update on progress of six orders for Studio Maxes with specs 32 core graphics, 64GB memory and 2TB storage.

Maybe it’s just chance, but all six orders, placed from March 24 - April 15, were delivered May 18, 19 and 20. I wouldn't have predicted that.

@BenGieCruz (US), ordered March 24: Delivered May 18! (delivery originally scheduled for May 16)
@cinder (US), March 30: Delivered May 20! (originally May 18)
@evilhsoj (US), March 31: Delivered May 18! (originally May 16)
My Order (US), April 1: Delivered May 20! (originally May 18)
@placerights09 (UK), April 8: Delivered May 19! (originally May 16, then May 18)
@michaelm_photo (US), April 15: Delivered May 20! (originally May 19, then May 23)
