Just a reminder; BHphoto still has the following Ultras in stock:

20 CPU / 64 GPU / 64 RAM / 2 TB Storage
20 CPU / 64 GPU / 64 RAM / 4 TB Storage

Incase anyone wants these configs, it might be a good way to go because~

If you sign up the their Paypoo credit card, they pay all the sales tax as well. I do this on all their purchases and pay the card off immediately. There are no other fees, curve balls or bullsh1t.

I live in NY, buy from B&H regularly and have a positive view of the company. However, I think that it should be pointed out that computers are an exception to B&H's standard return policy. It will only accept a return if the computer is physically damaged or is "defective", the latter being something that people may have different opinions on. Of course, Apple's standard warranty still applies. However, you can forget about "14 days, no questions asked". B&H can be attractive for Apple products if you use their credit card to save the sales tax.

There are 12 busy Apple Stores in New York City, and I'm sure that most of those stores' customers are well aware of B&H. A lot of us here just prefer to buy direct from Apple.

Thank You. Palermo, Sicily.
What a wonderful place on earth.
Thanks for doing this!
Mine was ordered MAR 31st btw, my April 4th post was incorrect.
Status is still 'processing' No CC charges.

I have an update on my CC charge that first appeared on Wednesday. Apparently it's been changing dates on the charge, so I am assuming it's a "hold" that Apple has put on the card. Today I checked at the date of the charge shows the 23rd, which is the coming Monday. So I'm not sure how long this will go on. But since they decided to actually do the charge on last Wednesday, I'm hopeful that it means they actually plan to ship soon. Maybe.

Also thanks to OldMacWalking for making the list. There's more of us than I thought. And while there is an expected variation in the specs, the 48/62/2 seems to be the most popular choice. No wonder it's taking so long!! 😅😁😂

Remember: there is no such thing as a "shipment transparency pattern" at Apple. Not for what they call valued customers.

my ultra order, online Apple store, posted last month:

/April 14/../48/128/1 TB/July 7-20/processing

I’m able to be patient. Plenty to keep me busy on an ageing Mac Pro

You couldn’t pay me enough to try to manage the logistics nightmare of supplying these machines at this time in the world

Pleased to hear of no noise problems with recent machines in this thread. Not a statistically sufficient sample to draw any inference, but even so I imagine apple were not pleased about having to accept returns for this reason and just might have raised their quality control requirements. Stranger things have happened 😉

If past patterns repeat themselves, I have a feeling/ I hope you will see your order change to pending to ship sometime between 9pm EDT Sunday and 9 am EDT Monday. Then shipped sometime by Tuesday. Credit card charge will happen sometime Monday. Let’s see how it goes for you.

So my Mac Studio Max 10/32 | 64 | Gb 2 TB was ordered March 28 and was delivered to my house in the Netherlands last Friday! (May 20th)
Was a few weeks earlier than expected. Yay!

A group of six of us who ordered the same specs as you between March 24 and April 15 received our Maxes May 18, 19 and 20. I wasn't aware of your order, but you bring the number to seven.

This was my post on Friday after everyone had confirmed that they had received their order:

I'm delighted to say that this will be the last update on progress of six orders for Studio Maxes with specs 32 core graphics, 64GB memory and 2TB storage.

Maybe it’s just chance, but all six orders, placed from March 24 - April 15, were delivered May 18, 19 and 20. I wouldn't have predicted that.

@BenGieCruz (US), ordered March 24: Delivered May 18! (delivery originally scheduled for May 16)
@cinder (US), March 30: Delivered May 20! (originally May 18)
@evilhsoj (US), March 31: Delivered May 18! (originally May 16)
My Order (US), April 1: Delivered May 20! (originally May 18)
@placerights09 (UK), April 8: Delivered May 19! (originally May 16, then May 18)
@michaelm_photo (US), April 15: Delivered May 20! (originally May 19, then May 23)

14 on the list now; if that trend continues we could turn reality distortion into a reality pattern

The only tracking info I've gotten so far is from DHL that their center in the Netherlands have recieved the package info but that they haven't gotten the package yet. I assume it's still on it's way from China or something like that, but I find it weird that I can't see any tracking until it arrives in the Netherlands, at which point it would already be in my hands a day or two later at most. Is this a thing only with DHL? Since I've noticed that people that had their shipping handled by UPS could track it all the way.

Odd. Both @placerights09 in the UK and @Pilou77 in France, whose orders UPS handled, had regular shipping updates.

Both have shared their full tracking info to delivery...

Have you looked at the tracking provided by Apple via their app or their website?

All of the useful info on my delivery to New York came from UPS. I received my Max on Friday morning (May 20). Right up until Friday Apple's order page and app said that it would be delivered on May 27 :)

When the status of my order changed to "Shipped", Apple recommended on its order page and app that I use its link to UPS tracking for up-to-date information. That turned out to be good advice :)

Ordered May 12th, Studio Max 10/32, 64GB, 8TB. Order still says processing and July 1-8, but card was just charged. I'd be excited except I don't think I'm going to have a screen to go with it, with all the delays on those :(

Wow! I ordered on May 14, but it still says processing. Part of me wants to cancel and get more storage. Ordered with 2tb, but now I want 4tb. haha

Great to hear. Apple placing a pending charge on your credit card ten days after your order suggests that it's making significant progress on production. The pending charge suggests that you're about a week away from "Shipped", although that's when your Max gets to camp out at Hong Kong airport for a few days until UPS actually puts it on a plane :)

No doubt frustrating, though, for people who don't already have a monitor and are waiting for Apple's.
