That would be nice. Mine has been charged/pending since Wednesday, still seems pending today?, same config, ordered March 12. Original delivery estimate 5/31-6/15. Still no actual movement beyond that pending charge... I'll be very interested if you get any movement on your order.
 
Does anyone know if apple processes orders on the weekends or have their order change to prepare to ship over the weekend days?

Based on F-train timeline, it took 4 days to go from credit card payment pending to go to preparing to ship. Hopefully you will see that happen to your order soon. Let us know when it does. Should be interesting to see if we will have similar timelines.

Note that in some cases (not many) the pending payment to Apple has disappeared and been revived later. One possible explanation is that there's a limit on how long Apple can have a hold on your credit card. It may have occasionally misjudged how fast production was going and how close an order was to shipment. In a post a few days ago, @apresthus says that pending credit card charges in Norway are indeed time limited, and that consumers know when a hold will expire. I suspect there's also a time limit elsewhere, except that Norwegian consumers know it and we don't :) This is his post: https://forums.macrumors.com/thread...read-all-countries-2022.2337026/post-31107836

Why doesn't Apple just post the charge and take the funds? As a matter of policy it doesn't charge customers until after their order has shipped.

One other small point. My timeline post (#3667) says that my payment to Apple was posted on May 17. That's true, but I didn't see the posted charge in my credit card transactions until the morning of the 18th. I imagine that my transactions were updated overnight.

My order was "Preparing to Ship" for two days. I have no idea what happens during those two days (it's apparently not just a matter of putting the order in a box and adding an address label), but a couple of days appears to be fairly typical.

For those of you in the DMV, Apple Store at Tyson’s Corner Virginia, US shows a nano / tilt stand available on May 21 (tomorrow).

Apple placed a pending charge on my account for my Ultra (48/64/2TB, ordered on April 1st) yesterday. I'll post my updates here as my order progresses.

GFFMATT/March 21/Studio Ultra/ 48GPU/64GB RAM/2TB/ via reseller (Sweetwater), June 7 expected, was told on May 12th that it would arrive @ store by May 20th. I haven't had any updates and am unable to follow tracking from Apple to Sweetwater.

I ordered a Mac Studio M1 Ultra 20 core cpu/48 core gpu/128gb ram/2tb ssd on April 17th but I am also still stuck in processing. My estimated date they gave me was June 12th.

Same as you. I feared the worst with the noise problems of the Mac studio. I'm not saying that what people are saying is false but mine is very quiet. We actually hear a very slight fan noise but it's insignificant on my machine anyway. I was lucky or I have a problem with my ears. It's almost imperceptible!

Ordered on 4/6/2022, M1 Max with 32-core GPU, 64 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD. Originally predicted to arrive in late June to July, but arrived at my doorstep yesterday, 5/20/2022. Meanwhile, my Studio Display with adjustable base, ordered at the same time, is still "processing" and forecast to arrive in June (wide range of dates - it's practically the whole month). The iMac that this replaces was being used with an external display so this is fine, I can still use it, I'm just waiting on that Studio Display to return to dual-screen workflows.

All of the reports of the noise worried me, as well. So far, my Studio has been totally silent even for tasks that would have revved the fans up on my old late 2015 27" iMac. Granted, I have a bit of a head cold at the moment and we've been running the ceiling fan a bit higher, so I'm not quite in a state where I'm at my most sensitive... but I hear the gentle hum of my NAS that sits a few feet away, nothing from the Studio that is literally sitting arm's reach from me. It's a relief.

Status is still 'processing' No CC charges.

Just a reminder; BHphoto still has the following Ultras in stock:

20 CPU / 64 GPU / 64 RAM / 2 TB Storage
20 CPU / 64 GPU / 64 RAM / 4 TB Storage

Incase anyone wants these configs, it might be a good way to go because~

If you sign up the their Paypoo credit card, they pay all the sales tax as well. I do this on all their purchases and pay the card off immediately. There are no other fees, curve balls or bullsh1t.

I have an update on my CC charge that first appeared on Wednesday. Apparently it's been changing dates on the charge, so I am assuming it's a "hold" that Apple has put on the card. Today I checked at the date of the charge shows the 23rd, which is the coming Monday. So I'm not sure how long this will go on. But since they decided to actually do the charge on last Wednesday, I'm hopeful that it means they actually plan to ship soon. Maybe.

Also thanks to OldMacWalking for making the list. There's more of us than I thought. And while there is an expected variation in the specs, the 48/62/2 seems to be the most popular choice. No wonder it's taking so long!! 😅😁😂
