Your flight is probably Hong Kong > Dubai > Cologne and from there to Spain. Hong Kong airport is the world's busiest cargo airport and has been a bottleneck for several weeks. Your Max could be stuck there for 2-5 days. Once it leaves, you should get next day delivery in Spain, assuming that you don't live somewhere remote.

The weird thing is I didn't have a 'confirmed' date of 30th June delivery until the package arrived into the DHL Service Area at Eindhoven, The Netherlands (17th June). It's supposedly travelling now from Eindhoven to Alicante and then, once there, it should be delivered to my address 24/48h later.

I never got to check the departure of the flight from China. I guess I'm lucky and the shipment got fast-tracked :p

So your Max has already left Eindhoven. I didn't realise that. Congratulations.

My M1 Max is now sitting in Louisville pending release from a non-UPS broker... WTH does that mean?

It went from Shenzhen to Hong Kong, and by way of Taoyuan iin Taiwan, onto Anchorage. Now it is in Kentucy. It will eventually end up in Saskatchewan, and I guess I just do not understand the routing UPS uses, and why are they using brokers outside the UPS network? Is it just so they can blame someone else when they deliver late?

This is what I told you was going to happen in post #4201 above, including the fact that it was highly probable that your computer would be in Louisville this morning. I also said that a Montreal resident who posted here a couple of weeks ago said that the broker update has no practical significance. His computer left Louisville in the morning, arrived at Mirabel and was delivered to him in the afternoon. There was no holdup at Canada Customs.

I don't know what UPS's routing is to Saskatchewan, but you can find out from the website Flight Aware, right down to the likely time that your computer will arrive in Regina or Saskatoon, whichever is closest to you. UPS knows what it's doing, even if it does things that can seem superficially odd. It might amuse you to learn that if one lives in Alaska, the computer is flown from Anchorage to Louisville anyway and then flown back to Alaska. It works, apparently better than trying to take a few computers off a loaded cargo jet in Anchorage.

Thanks for the info! I guess I am too versed in Kanban calculations to accept that😂

The shipment ended up sitting with this broker for so long, it missed the next shipment to Canada, and now it is delayed again... Hopefully it will be here on Thursday.

My Studio M1 Max, 32 core GPU, 64 GB, 1 TB SSD, as I said in any earlier post was originally scheduled for 7/12-7/29 delivery. I received an email last week that it was being shipped and would arrive on 6/27. Well, it showed up this morning a full week before the original delivery date, and that is with at least two delsys:

lol - you Mac Studio and mine are travelling buddies. Exactly the same updates, even down to the time. All except mine is now in Winnipeg, on its way to Saskatoon... Hopefully delivery sometime today, and if not, then tomorrow.

Let me drop a complete story for you guys to add to your data. I ordered a custom configured base Studio Max with the only change being uggrading to 1 TB SSD.
  • Ordered - June 14
  • Estimated Delivery Date - July 25
  • Shipped - June 20
  • Adjusted Delivery Date - June 28
  • Actual Delivery Date - June 22
I watched it go from China to Hong Kong to Alaska to Kentucky to Tennessee with an amazing amount of speed (less than 48 hours).

Hope this helps or at least entertains any of you still waiting.

^ a Max? If so, they are indeed speedy. It’s the mighty Ultras that now show lengthy delay. Somewhat like our greyhounds. Running, they are an awesome spectacle. Walking, they are worse than any other dog I’ve experienced: walk a few yards, stop for a minute, rinse and repeat; or just stop randomly and refuse to move at all. Actually, quite a lot like the shipping many of us experienced

I imagine your awesome macrumors handle had a lot to do with the speed of your order. We had another case of this a month or so back, with an Ultra no less!

What's interesting about this is that your Max was delivered two days after it was "Shipped". That means that it wasn't held up at Hong Kong airport. It's possible that the bottleneck there, which has resulted in orders being stuck in Hong Kong for 2-5 days, is starting to clear.

If "Adjusted Delivery Date" means the date in Apple's shipping e-mail, that date is invariably wrong. It's a cautious, outside date if something goes wrong. As Apple says both in its shipping e-mail and on the order page, it recommends that customers follow UPS tracking for up-to-date information. After all, at that point UPS is in control of the order, not Apple.

A happy guy here with his customized Mac Studio Max already sitting by its older brother, a 2012 iMac 27'' !!!

  • Ordered - June 9
  • Initial Estimated Delivery Date window - August 1 - August 8
  • Updated Estimated Delivery Date window - July 22 - July 29
  • Shipped - June 17 (no shipping notification from China, only on arrival to Europe)
  • Adjusted Delivery Date - June 30 (e-mail from Apple)
  • Actual Delivery Date to address in Spain - June 23
It seems the bottleneck from Asia is already clearing up, as others are pointing.

Well, kudos to Apple and UPS. They stressed me out there, but my M1 Max arrived yesterday:)

- Ordered on June 14
- Shipped on June 20
- Shenzhen - Chek Lap Kok - Taoyuan - Anchorage - Louisville - Minneapolis - Winnipeg - Saskatoon
- Delivered June 22

I haven’t slept much:)

What's missing from your timeline is that your original delivery estimate was "mid-July", to quote an earlier post of yours. How does somebody get stressed out over a delivery that's three weeks early? :)

Your post, like @JayBayAye8's, suggests that the bottleneck in Hong Kong is clearing.

Interesting that UPS is using Minneapolis as a jump-off to deliver to Manitoba and Saskatchewan. I wonder if it also uses Minneapolis for deliveries to Alberta. I'd be surprised if it's routing orders via Minneapolis for delivery to British Columbia.

I’m still waiting on mine to move from processing to preparing to ship. Hopefully this week, if not next.

i am still stuck at processing too. However, I just noticed the start of Apple’s delivery window has come forward a day (changing from July 7 to July 6; the termination remains at the 20th). Progress, I guess

To be honest, I don’t know when this changed as I don’t check often
