Mine just got scanned in Anchorage! Still shows scheduled delivery on the 21st though.
I believe it now needs to clear customs in Louisville. Hope that happens today. Once cleared both UPS and Apple can likely give us a clear delivery date.

Day 1 (March 8) order to Italy
Base model with 1TB storage BTO option

Initially estimated to get here March 21-23.
Had a nice surprise yesterday when it moved from Processing to preparing for shipment, only to have it completely reversed today - it's now back to processing with the estimate now slipped to Apr 4 - Apr 6 ?
(Actually it just now went back up to "preparing for shipment", still with the Apr 4-6th estimate)

Anybody familiar with BTO knows what this could mean?? I have never ordered BTO before, I trusted the estimates but a very friendly Apple Support agent told me they're essentially bunk...
Then again these are extraordinarily difficult times, between the shutdowns in Shenzhen and general COVID related logistics issues it wouldn't surprise me if there's no precedent for this.

The earthquake was a false alarm. Someone was so anxious for news that he posted a report from 11 years ago.

You really can watch the pot too closely.
Well, there really was an earthquake. Thankfully not as bad as 2011.

This thread is just about the most vigorous exercise in pot watching I recall seeing, ever. I'm excited for my new computer but whether I get it next Monday or next Friday is a pretty small deal in the larger scheme of things, and I'd be better off just worrying about more immediately actionable matters until my package is out for delivery.

Now excuse me while I refresh my UPS tracking. ?

Pallets usually spend a day or so in Anchorage so they can visit with the Customs inspectors.
I thought customs was in Louisville. Anchorage is just a refueling. That’s the same plane from Japan.

Found the Louisville flight! :D They better move the pallets quickly lol ?

I believe that’s the same plane as before. I think they’re just refueling in anchorage.

My Mac Studio pretty sure won't move until next week so for now I'm just getting used to my 5 days old 14" MBP M1 Pro which is an upgrade from my 13" MBP Retina from MID-2014 :) Playing currently with Thunderbolt Docks for the Mac Studio. The CalDigit Element Hub is back to Amazon and the Satechi TB4 Dock is coming tomorrow. Second LG-32UN880-B is Out for Delivery as well :)

Interesting, the status changed again to preparing for shipment, but the target delivery date is still April 1st. I hope that I will get the Mac Studio next week, as originally planned.
I also have to say that this is not important at all. We are all extremely lucky to have our life and peace. Just look at what is happening in Ukraine just to get a perspective. I have friends there and it is unbelievable what they are going through..

Any idea whats going on mac should have been with me 21-22 march and was showing preparing to ship

then changed to 1 -5 of april now showing preparing to ship again

Covid shutdown Foxconn factory. UPS shutdown operations in the area. Earthquake shutdown Japan airports. My guess is something related to these events has caused a delay.

You're spot on.

I'm just looking forward to do actual work on it. Got some editing to do.
M1 MacBook Air will make do for now. ;)

That is the Same Monitor that I ordered for my Studio

Maybe I should rename my Office to a Studio in Homekit?

I'll admit I'm quite eager to move on from my late 2012 27" iMac. But it is still up to everyday tasks and runs Logic reasonably well. Especially now that I have a UPS tracking number I think I'm ready to let go of my anxiety--I'll almost surely be setting up my new Studio within a week. And overall I've enjoyed this forum, but if I hadn't come across this thread I probably wouldn't have experienced one iota of worry.

Figures, the one time I decided to pick a BTO option!
Oh well, hopefully operations resume quickly while keeping everyone relatively safe.

I've waited for over 5 years for a iMac replacement, I can probably wait a couple weeks more.

My Studio 48 core GPU / 128GB slipped from 25th March to March 31st - April 5th with delivery to Australia after moving to Preparing to Ship.

Pretty excited. Replacing my late 2015 iMac (16GB, 512 storage) which is still working great with Studio and Display. My birthday present to me. Will be waiting awhile but I'm retired with time on my hands.
