Those of you who have a departure scan from Alaska, are you able to change your delivery location with UPS MyChoice at all? It's only limiting me to deliver to a neighbor.

For US deliveries, the UPS import stamp happens in Louisville. No import happens in Anchorage.

Pretty excited. Replacing my late 2015 iMac (16GB, 512 storage) which is still working great with Studio and Display. My birthday present to me. Will be waiting awhile but I'm retired with time on my hands.
Replacing my mid 2015 27” iMac. 10/32 Max. April 1-8 delivery. Ordered a monitor from Monoprice that will be here tomorrow.

Quora isn't necessarily the best place for information. They can process customs in both Anchorage and at Worldport. Based on how long the UPS109 plane was in Alaska, my guess is they were just there for refueling, but hard to say. UPS My Choice doesn't show any import scan (though I cant remember if they show this or not).

I’ve been ordering iPhones for many years and the import scans were always done in Louisville. I’d be surprised if it’s different this time.

Might want to check with UPS, Apple kept saying waiting for shipment, and when I checked with UPS, found out it shipped from China on 3/12/2022. UPS says it left AK at 3:20 PM today 3/16/2022.

Totally stated a few times in this thread ;)

That shipment is en route to UPS Worldport in Louisville Kentucky, where it will be scanned in customs and then from there should only take 1-2 business days to reach our doorsteps.

Yay. Just got confirmation (Thursday 2pm) down here in Melbourne Australia by text and email that my Mac Studio will be delivered tomorrow morning.

Last time I ordered MacBook Pro, when it landed Louisville, it didn't get scanned. Our Mac may not be scanned...

Edit: never mind!

“Most tech hardware, including the iPhone and iPad, that ships from the Original Design Manufacturers (ODMs) in and around Shanghai ends up in Anchorage where UPS and FedEx have built major logistical hubs to expedite customs.”
