Hello guys
i bought my macbook pro 2017 13 inc without touchbar like 1,5 weeks ago
unfortunately, ENTER got stuck. I tried to fix it myself by removing it. Well it seems i broke left hinges.I guess my warranty wont help me, in service shops im told to pay for topcase which costs like 1/3 price of the whole mac.
so i wonder if there is any other choice by replacing just one key?

Do you recommend the 11.6 inch sleeve for the 13 inch MBP? On the Amazon product page it doesn't claim to fit the 13" MBP, and there's a larger model specifically for that computer.

It was recommended to me on this thread, and I will recommend it to others.....Perfect fit and has pockets for dongles.

Just make sure it is for a MacBook Pro with USB-C not the older version.

I got Incase ICON Sleeve with Woolenex. Very happy with it. There is a slight gap that would make removing laptop from the sleeve easier. Definitely won't fit if you have a hard case on.

Finally installed most of my Best Skins Ever on my 15 MBP. I’m doing it in parts. All that’s left are the sides. Not horrible and it looks very nice on the Mac. I went with the matte.

Is anyone able to review Booq cases for the 15' MBP w/ TB?

I really like how the Viper (https://booqeurope.com/collections/laptophuellen/products/viper-case-15-inch-macbook-molded-case) looks, but it appears it may not fit the 15' 2016+ MBPs, looking at the dimensions.
Alternately I'm considering this Hardcase (https://booqeurope.com/collections/laptophuellen/products/hardcase-m-black), but I've not heard of anyone's experiences with it & am not a big fan of pockets. Thoughts?

Is there any other quite protective but not ridiculous looking case any of you might happen to be using and would recommend? Asking because this laptop is delicate, but I need to carry it around a lot.

I seriously appreciate everyone who provides links or pictures to the case they are referring to. I don't got time to try and find the case ur talking about.

With that being said, I'm planning to buy one of these cases alongside the 2018 MBP.. if it ever materializes.
I even embedded links in here, so.. cheers

Anyone have any suggestions for a case for the Mid 2012 13" MBP?

I'm trying to find something with a soft rubbery feel, not hard plastic feel. And preferably black to keep it simple.

I'm looking for a bag for my 13" MBP, I've got a Knomo Kilkenny that's perfect, but its not deep enough for when I have to take some tools out with me (network tester, crimp tools etc..) Does anyone have any recommendations? A Kilkenny 4 inches thicker would be perfect!

Thanks

i'm using the waterfield outback solo messenger bag. The quality of their products is top notch. I spent a ridiculous amount of time researching messenger bags. With so many available options it starts to get ridiculous.
How do you like the solo bag?

I'm looking at the Cargo Laptop bag, Air Porter and Solo bag

My needs are that I want a bag to handle my MBP (15") and iPad Pro (10.5"), along with cables and what not. I've been using a Tom Bhin backpack, but lately its just big and heavy, I want a small thinner solution that meets my travel needs. I don't fly often (a couple of times a year) but the backpack is just to ungainly to get through security, for instance I had to pull the laptop, iPad and kindle out of my bag. I like the Air Porter because it holds both laptop and iPad and can fit under an airline seat upright. The Cargo, I think will fit under an airline seat but only if its laying flat. Since I'm an infrequent flyer, that need is somewhat secondary (even though I listed it first). My main usage is traveling by way of car or train and so I want an unobtrusive case that fits comfortably on my shoulder.

Since I need space for a laptop and tablet, I think that excludes the Solo, and leaves Cargo and Air Porter. I'm leaning heavily towards the Cargo, but something keeps drawing me in on the Air Porter.

Price, the Cargo messenger bag goes for 349, where as the Airport with Air Caddy is 379. Another reason to choose the Cargo bag.

Any thoughts, or suggestions?

If u need the room for both a laptop and iPad I wouldn't go with the solo...while I love the solo I only use it for my MacBook pro and a few dongles and external hard drive. The solo is definitely geared towards carrying the essentials. That's exactly what I was looking for. For a larger bag (but not too big) I'm a fan of the maverick. I've been tempted to buy it even though I don't really need it.

And I was like you for a while...I kept looking at other choices and was drawn back to the solo every time. While their bags aren't "cheap" they are absolutely stunning and well made.

BTW...the pictures of the bags do not do them justice. They really do look so much better in person....and even better once they get some mileage on them.

Yeah, I keep coming back to Cargo bag, I think that fits my everyday needs quite well, where as the Air Porter is better suited for flying. My flying needs though as noted is pretty much minor (once/twice a year).

I agree the patina that is developed with these bags will make them look really nice, I think that's why I included the Solo. I'm about 80% sure, the cargo is the best choice, but I know what you mean about the Maverick, it looks really nice.

You aren't going to be completely satisfied until you grab the cargo...sometimes you just have to pull the trigger. It's a quality bag and I'm sure that you will love it.

Haven't been on in a few days.....did you get the bag?
No, as much as I'm just about sure about that bag, some life events have jumped up and punched me in the face. I need to kick the can down the road, so to speak and purchase it later.

I had scrounged the internet to see if Waterfield ever holds sales/promotions/coupon codes and they don't seem too. So from that perspective there isn't a bad time to buy it, so I can wait. I'll have a need for a travel bag in the next month or two, so I don't think the delay is going to be extended.

I completely understand. Life can be rough sometimes. Hopefully you come through it stronger. And I haven't seen them on sale either.

Curious if anyone uses screen shields on their macbooks? Sounds weird and kind of overkill but wondering how many do use them?

That's definitely overkill. For an phone yes, you are likely to drop your phone. For a MacBook, even if you drop it, the screen would not hit the ground the way it's designed to open...
