The 14” is slightly larger all round than the 13” M1 MBP, but it looks like there will be sufficient room in my Harber London Laptop Case sleeve. I’ll know next week… ?

Is there an official model designation (A**** for example) for the new 14/16 MBPs? It's just easier to search on amazon that way and not buy an incompatible case, when any come out (doesn't look like any are out yet)

is the Apple leather sleeve worth the price? Anyone here has it? How is it? ?
I have the leather sleeve for my MacBook Air. For the price, it depends on what you want in a sleeve. If you want the slimmest, lightest, perfectly fitting, made from leather sleeve, then there isn't any other sleeve like it available at any price. If you want drop or impact protection, it is a terrible choice at any price.

So, I am searching for a sleeve for my new MacBook Pro 14“ without zippers and without a magnet! Shouldn’t break the bank so less than 100$ (therefore no expensive leather stuff)

I have a hard time finding anything at all…!
Does anyone have something like this? (If it’s fitted for a MacBook Pro 13 I guess waiting till they update us an an option… but I hardly find anything…)

I just ordered the Acme Skinny Sleeve - Medium size for the new MacBook Pro 14”. The small size designed for the current M1 MacBook Air/Pro 13” would be too small for the 14”, but I’m hoping the medium size will fit just right. I will report back after launch day next Tuesday.

Yes, that’s pretty much what I am looking for…
But I am located in Germany, Europe… so there’s shipping and import fees and taxes and all that annoying stuff…

Let’s me hesitate a bit because I don’t know how all of that works…

I feel like an old fogey with my backpack. I'm using a Swissgear backpack made specifically for the 2007 MacBook Pro 17. The backpack is enormous and you can put in two of them (16 pounds), and lots more gear. I used to carry my 2014 and 2015 MacBook Pro 15s in it every day to and from work - much less weight on those.

I am not looking for a sleeve or bag.

I am looking for an outer shell to protect the MBP from any falls.

Incase is the company I have found that makes the best protective outer shells

Unfortunately, nothing listed on their site and they are not answering emails about when it might be available.

Same. Never known anything like this for an Apple product launch, there’s usually 10,000 snide cases and shells on eBay by now.

I'll try to stay tuned to this thread in case someone finds a case or at least an announcement of one.

I'll be using my current MBA/MBP 13" case if it works, if it doesn't I'll just put it in a bag or something. If anyone finds anything for these new Macs please let us know especially if it's Amazon.

It’s very surprising there is no case or sleeve out there to suit the 14”, from any of the big brands like Incase.

It is, though I think Apple didn't send out any specs to these companies in advance of the announcement so all these companies are essentially scrambling right now to produce cases.

It never usually stops them with other Apple products, though in fairness I mostly encounter new iPhones or iPads rather than new Macs.
