Incase has been my go-to for my previous MacBooks. Every time I remove, there are no issues with scratches or anything. Just placed my order for the new one.
I ordered one as well based on your post but quickly cancelled. I started reading reviews on Incase's own site for similar cases for older macbooks and it seems like they have several quality issues - in particular for the clear hard cases

I've used an Incase clear/dots case w/ a 2015 MBP and didn't have any problems with it. It's very thin, so if you abuse it may have cracks - but that would be the same problem with any of these thin hard shells.

Does anyone have experience with these cases? Are they easily removable? I wont be doing that often but if I do I would like to ensure its not a pain to push out the clips and they dont end up scratching the macbook.

I've used their Dots and Woolnex cases in the past and liked them both! I've got the UAG case now - it's very similar to the Incase Dots case with the addition of a strap that connects both halves - it gives you a natural place to put your hands as you carry it.

Got the Dash Sleeve from Waterfield and couldn’t recommend it more. Great sleeve, protective and not too bulky

I've used their knitted one with the 2020 M1 MBP and had no issues at all. Incase is my go-to as well. Just waiting for it to show up on Best Buy.

I got my Waterfield sleevecase for the MacBook Pro 14" a couple weekends ago and I love it. It's worth the price to me for how well it's made, the materials used, and the protection it offers. I got the vertical sleeve, which is easier to use in a backpack than the traditional horizontal ones.

I also got the vertical sleeve for my backpack and for the same reason. Oh and the expected delivery was supposed to be 2 to 3 weeks - it came in less than 1 week!

I wouldn't recommend Incase - the last sleeve I ordered from them was very cheaply made and it was evident in the stitching and weird crinkles in the protective foam. A far cry from my 2012 leather sleeve from them. Waterfield is the way to go these days.

That's really unfortunate. I also had a 2012 blue "leather" sleeve from Incase for the OG 15" Retina MacBook Pro, which was sold in Apple stores. It was a great sleeve that fit the MacBook perfectly. I also own their Tensorlite magnetic flap sleeve for my 2016 12" and it's very nice as well. Wish they made that sleeve for the new 16" MacBooks. I've bought a ton of Waterfield stuff over the years. Highly recommended.

Yeah, that's what I had! Faux leather, but in the black color for my 2012 15" MBP. That thing was awesome - it actually still holds up today, just doesn't fit any of my devices. I was really disappointed with their CS response, too. Basically told me 'oh well, send it back then' when I told them the craftmanship of the newer case wasn't up to snuff. I think everything went downhill after the Incipio acquisition.

Does Waterfield make hard camshell cases for MacBook Pro 14"? I'm not interested in sleeves or bags.

I got my Supcase Unicorn Beetle shell today. I’m only using it on the lid — no need to add any extra weight to the bottom of the computer, and I figure I’ll let the metal do its heat sink thing unencumbered.

I think of the Supcase Beetle as pretty ugly, more of a Windows PC aesthetic. But I like the rubber bumpers around the edge and the bit of reinforcement at the corners. The rigid shell seems to be rigid enough and enough of a gap from the top lid that I feel it will protect against deflection of the metal at the back of the screen.

As a reminder from my earlier post, I decided to get a case for my Apple laptop for the first time in 20+ years of using them because the screen on my M1 Pro 16” cracked without any abuse on my part — no bangs, drops, bumps. I can only imagine it cracked (at the corner) either because of an inherent micro-defect in the glass, or because the whole lid deflected when I picked it up by gripping the closed computer. So this seems like maybe it will help protect it.

Still no feed back on Incases offerings and how they might different from what's on Amazon?

Anyone got this yet?

I bought the textured hardshell for my 14” Pro and have been using it for about a week.

Fit is perfect and the material feels really nice. No complaints other than it’s pricey for a plastic case.

Not much else to say about it other than that but if you guys have any specific questions, let me know.

Is it cumbersome to take off? If you try and take it off will the clips damage the macbook?

It’ll take a minute or two to take off because there’s a bunch of clips holding it on, but nothing crazy. I can’t see the clips damaging anything, they only make contact with the metal and not the glass screen.

I bought the Woolenex textured hard case for my 14" MBP. It fits perfectly and I love the material. I have not tried to remove the case yet, so I can't speak on whether the clips will do any damage.
Can you post a photo? It's really hard to see what it actually looks like from the product photos. Is it a fabricy feel?
