I received my WFbags City Slicker today!

Initial thoughts: Very well-built. Great smell. Chocolate leather is beautiful and will wear very nicely. Handle is comfortable... a little tight initially but after loading it up, the weight caused it to settle well.

Main compartment is a nice fit, and fortunately has *just* enough play/gap to let you "holster" your laptop without removing little RF dongles (such as for Wacom tablets or LG mice_).

As far as the leather flap being too tight: It's pretty tight. I loaded up the pockets with an external SSD, MagSafe (wound up as designed), and a Magic Mouse. The side with the MagSafe was a tough close, but I got it to work. It does come with a card that says this flap will stretch and settle with use. Eventually it will be just fine. So bottom line is that it will close with the big ol' power adaptor, but you'll fight it for a bit.

As a side note, the big mesh pocket is a PERFECT fit for a Wacom Intuos5 small tablet.

P.S. Ordered my PicasoLab slip on 6/28. Tracking shows it left San Jose on Monday. USPS First Class. Wish he had opted for priority with the delays. I would have had it today as well.

can u post pics of both, after the picasolab arrives? thanks in advance!

Here is my Tucano Second Skin Microfiber sleeve.

Overall, it's very nice. I actually do leave that microfiber on the keyboard sometimes to keep it clean.

I have the same zippered case. It's a decent slip on.

I also applied the black carbon fiber 3M film to my rMBP today. I really like that film and look. I am no longer worried about scratching the hell out of it.

I just received the hard case from Kuzy on Amazon and it fits pretty well. Not perfectly, but decent enough to not expect any more from a $25 case. Gonna fire up some games in a few to see how it affects the laptop on heat. Overall I'm pretty happy with it, at least until speck/incase come out with their own.

Let us know the result. I saw Kuzy on Amazon as well. Not sure about the quality.

Please do post your results, I'm trying to hold out for a speck case but I'm getting close to saying screw it and going for the Kuzy. As long as the intakes aren't obstructed it shouldn't affect temps too much I'd imagine. I replaced the TIM on the CPU and GPU on day one, and my temps dropped about 5c to 8c on average.

I received my Kuzy case today. I'm really pleasantly surprised by it. It fits great and the only (very minor) complaint I have is that the edges could be slightly better finished. Considering the price, I got more than I expected, and honestly, I doubt the Speck or Incase shells will be much better. I got the rubberized clear case and it looks great.

FWIW, someone earlier in this thread said that the back edge of the bottom of the Kuzy case is loose. Whoever that was didn't have the case installed properly. There's a tiny lip on the back edge of the Kuzy case that fits around the sharp metal edge of the computer's lower cover (the edge next to the black plastic antenna/hinge cover). I suspect whoever that was simply didn't "snap" the Kuzy in place properly. I also made the same mistake when I initially put my Kuzy on. As it is now, my case fits nice and snug.

İ bought a Thule 15 inch notebook bag for my macbook pro retina.İt is water resistant and also has a place for ipads. You can easily open the bav and work it without taking your computer of which is a great advantage but if you intend to use a charger things would not go smoothly. With an 25 year quality warranty and the inside of the bag it seems to be great for
me however i still wonder where to Put the charger.

I've been playing wow for the past 2 hours, raiding 25 man with graphics on ultra. My laptop usually runs at 69-71 C and is currently sitting at 65C so it's running slightly cooler with the case :O

I don't have any other games to test it with other than diablo3 and that runs the same as wow heat wise.

I'm really happy with the case, I got the blue one and the apple light shines through on the back too!

Has anyone so far seen the Moshi Palmguard style accessory for the rMBP yet? I think the palm rest area of my rMBP is becoming quite sticky now. :(

Moshi told me it would be September before they have an iGlaze case. I am not sure if that means stuff for the inside, too.

In the meantime, you might consider a protective film. See http://www.icarbons.com/collections...ucts/macbook-pro-15-retina-black-carbon-fiber for the film I applied to the bottom and lcd panel back. The also have stuff for the inside.

I'm also waiting on an email response. My laptop might arrive before the case. Not sure why he can't just respond to emails, or at least set up an automated response if he can't keep up with the emails.

I emailed him late last night (8 PM EST) and he sent me a response this morning by the time I woke up.

Even gave me a ship date, and explained why.

What was his reason for why and your ship date, if you don't mind me asking.....

When I ordered the site said "will ship by July 25th". I ordered the 18th, and I had seen the posts on this forum that said people were waiting almost a month, so I figured there'd be no way he'd get it out by the 25th, so I just planned on emailing him on the 25th asking for an update.

So, I did that, and he responded apologizing for the wait and that he was going to be 4 days late, and would ship it on monday for sure. He said he had been backed up with the 15" orders, and that the bigger cases are taking him longer than he expected (which is kinda lame, but still at least a reasonable excuse).

Either way, I wasn't expecting a response from the bad things I heard, and I certainly wasn't expecting only a 4 day delay... better than what I hoped for.

I just hope he doesn't pull that making the label but not actually shipping thing he's been doing.

Well I received my Picaso and hated it. The leather had a reddish brown hue. and the grains were not matched front and back.

Funny, the inside the case leather was exactly what I wanted. It looked like he stitched it inside out? Told you he was rushing.

At first I thought I would let him try again, but I did give him explicit requirements when I ordered. I wanted what was pictured. Dark brown and nice figuring in the leather.

So I decided to ask for a refund which he gave me promptly and without having to return the case. A nice gesture.

So I thought about Joli, but its too expensive. I'll stick with my OGIO Renegade.

For any UK customers, a question...

I've heard good things about the ColcaSac cases and have had my eye on this one for a while, it's £29.95 and delivery is £2.99.

http://www.gearzap.com/colcasac-macbook-pro-15-with-retina-sleeve-uintah.html

I'm just wondering if anyone has used this website to order from before? My rmbp should be coming today and I'll need something to protect it! :D

Many thanks!

EDIT: Thanks Adidad Addict, including the website would probably be helpful :p

Good to hear they'll be ok, think I'll order it now! :D

I've got that one right now! Took ages to get it as I ordered when they were still being made but once they got some and it arrived I was a tad under welmed but it has turned out to be a great sleeve. While the sleeve wont do much to protect against severe knocks it does fit really well and stops scratches when not in use. Plus it sits lovely on the legs to protect them when it gets hot (which in my case is a lot!!).

Plus you get the benefit of it not screaming LAPTOP STEAL ME! every time you take it out.

Nice sleeve for the leg comfort and general scratch protection, but don't get it if you want something that will absorb shocks.

I bought this rubberized case from ebay.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/180931729662

Seems to be the same as Kuzy. Takes forever to arrive from China. I'm not a case or sleeve type of person, so I don't care too much if it doesn't fit 100%. I only needed a case for when I travel. This way I can quickly toss it in and out of my messenger back at the airport or in the airplane where I don't have the luxury of being super careful.

Thanks for that, my order was the complete opposite, I ordered it yesterday at 5pm and it was delivered today at 12, so not even 24 hours to my door!

I'm liking the sleeve, although, if anything it seems a little loose, the bag that it came in also had 15" Macbook Pro printed on the front and then in a biro pen "retina" wrote next to it by someone, is that normal or have I just been given a regular sleeve haha?

It seems like it's a tad too long and can slide back and forth a bit.

Decided to pull the trigger on the sfbags cargo mambo wambo package in ballistic black as i wait for my picaso labs skin to come in. Pretty excited. Great customer service from sfbags. Ordered the bag at 1am Tuesday night (or Wednesday morning i guess) , received an email that the bag was shipped out Wednesday morning. And the bag is set to arrive today from tacking information. Can't wait to go home and get to check out the quality of this bag. So far i have only heard great things about it. And the processing and shipping turn around rate is fast. However, i am only an hour away from sf. Will update you guys with pictures of this bag and hopefully the picasolabs skin once they both come in. This thread is great, definitely bags being recommended for everyone's taste.

You'll love it. The only real (minor) issue is that the keychain clip is plastic and rather flimsy-looking.

Yes mine is the same, big sticker on the paper bag thing with retina biro'd on next to macbook pro.

I think they could have moved the velcro strip down the sleeve a bit but I just close it on fluffy stuff so it closes nice and tight, mine is nice and tight all round with no danger of it slipping out unless I started swinging it around...

I think the best selling point of the sleeve is the leg insulation, especially first thing in the morning on bare legs and the cold unibody...
