Sorry if this has already been posted, but does anybody know how long it takes for a Picaso Labs case to get dispatched? I ordered mine like 10 days ago...

He told me he was going to be about 3-4 days late in getting them out from when he had said he'd ship. I got an email on Monday saying USPS had received my electronic shipping info. I emailed him to ask if that meant he had sent it out as well and he said that at the request of most people he has been shipping them as soon as USPS has received the info.

I was hoping to get mine this week but that doesn't seem likely since I'm in Canada.

Just wanted to let everyone know that shipping to Canada through Booq is absurd. I was about to order the Book Mamba, but the shipping was a mind blowing $70.

Cool ~ thanks for getting back to me. Did you make the purchase from the US? I'm especially irked about their system. They don't remove VAT from the final cost if outside the EU. When I inquired about it, they said it paid for shipping - which means "free shipping" is a lie for anyone outside of the EU. The price of the bag is also relative to where it is being shipped to, so if price of shipping is less than VAT (which is 19%), we're actually paying MORE for the same bag as those from the EU (not to mention that they also receive free shipping, and VAT is required for them) - and likewise, if shipping is more expensive than VAT, that person pays LESS. Unfortunately, in the US, the math works against us. As much as I wanted to buy the bag/case, I do not support their system where some buyers essentially pay for other buyer's shipping.

If they're charging VAT and not forwarding it to the appropriate authorities it's a form of fraud. As the VAT isn't due except on import they're effectively taking the VAT payment you should have forwarded to your local authority from you in advance and then keeping it to cover shipping. They need to say they're charging for shipping and call it that.

Hey guys! I just got my booq Mamba sleeve. I would post pictures, but I haven't actually gotten my MacBook yet. Fedex says I'll be getting it monday, so I'll post pictures of it with my borealis backpack and booq sleeve then.

Also, for anyone else who got the booq from amazon: when I got mine the inside smelled really weird, but I put some laundry softener sheets in it and left it for a while and now it smells like lavender instead.

Just installed the bodyguardz bottom on my mbpr. i went only with the bottom because it sees the most action. I've been pretty good on protecting my lid, so I'm not too worried.

Anywho, thumbs up for the quality. really easy to install.

Suggestions for a Sleeve

Does anybody have any suggestions for a laptop sleeve that is capable of holding the rMBP and a Nexus 7 in a nice and compact form? I was looking at the Bluelounge laptop sleeve, which seemed to fit the bill quite nicely. Anyone have any experience with these? Any suggestions for another sleeve are welcome as well.

Thanks!

Any help would be appreciated here:

I have the new retina macbook pro and i also have the kuzy case i ordered off amazon, i am starting to think about getting rid of the kuzy and replace it with something other then a hard case, but one question before i do, does the kuzy protect that much against dents? I remember on my old macbook with an incase case, after a while, even with cleaning, the case damaged my macbook (scratches and little craters in the metal) i dont want this to happen to my new computer, but i also want to prevent against dents too (scratches i can take care of with a best skins ever) will something like this be a better all around option? (http://axioluggage.com/hardsleeve15.html or http://store.moshimonde.com/codex-15-black.html) and can anyone recommend a cheaper, but just as protective alternative

booq sleeve

Hi,
I have a question about the Booq Mamba sleeve 15. On the site it says for Macbook Pro (retina) but on a local site that sells this product it says it fits both, the classic macbook pro and the retina one. Now does it mean that my Retina laptop would be a little loose in it since it's much thinner then the classic one? And isn't there a risk of scratching the Macbook with the zipper?

I bought the RadTech Sleevz and even tho it's a nice product it seems quite hard to put it on the laptop. I mean, I'm not sure I can be bothered doing so each time I need to take it somewhere. I also ordered the Booq Mamba Daypack backpack so was wondering if would the laptop fit in it while being in the Mamba sleeve on top of it?
Thank You for Your time

Oh. Okay... Thanks! Looking at my email, I didnt even get an estimated shipping date! - and the website is not the best when it comes to shipping info!

Alex is really an idiot. He can't figure out that he needs to ship when done vs. stock pilng? He had over 20 ready and just sitting before I gave him an earful over the practice.

He cant disclose his browns are not brown at all?

He is terrible at communicating with customers!

I am one of the few who were disappointed with what he sent. And I waited over a month just to be disappointed.

You can find nicer cases.

Understandable that you were frustrated and unsatisfied with the communication and with your product. I've seen a few people complain about these things, but other than the weekend he took off he's returned all of my emails the same day. I can't speak for the case yet, as I haven't received mine but I've very very hopeful.

I also plan on posting a full review with pictures.

The mamba that I got said Retina Macbook Pro/Macbook Pro on the packaging, but it seemed thinner than what a cMBP case should be. I haven't gotten my laptop yet, but I guess we'll see how it fits once I get it.

Does anyone own the Vertical Brain Cell for the rMBP? If so, could you provide external dimensions? I'm trying to figure out if it'll fit in my backpack. Thanks!

It's pretty big, and your going to have a hard time finding a traditional backpack that will fit it. Did not fit in a North Face Surge, but does just fit in a Surge 2 which is significantly larger.

My vertical Brain Cell's dimensions with the flap closed are:

10 1/4" x 16 1/2" x 2"
