I bought a green STM vertical bag for my rMBP. Fits perfectly.

I would have preferred something other than velcro closures but meh, the price was right. Around $50 on Amazon. :p

Might have to cop one. I'm indifferent between their hard-shells and InCase's.

Just got me one of these in black. Quite satisfied. I'm starting law school, and have a nicer leather bag for travel, so its more of a traditional canvas school bag. It's fully lined with InCase-esque faux fur in the padded laptop sleeve, and the accessory compartments were made with iPhone and MBP accessories in mind. I didn't want anything too bulky since most teachers don't make you haul textbooks around.

Hello all. I would like to share that I use this bag when I carry my camera gear with my laptop:

For a photog bag, that's awesome.

For everyone here who just uses a backpack and a sleeve, do you ever put a skin on your laptop? If you do what brand have you had the most luck with? I use to use an Incase shell on my old 4 year Macbook Pro and when I took the case off, it still looked brand new. On the Retina I thought about just using a clear skin, at least for the bottom (that is where the most wear and tear was for my old laptop case) and then use a sleeve/backpack combo instead of a hard shell/backpack combo before. At the moment my laptop is in an old sleeve I had for my bulky 15" MacBook Pro and I am afraid to take it anywhere because it moves around so much in there :/ I'm just trying to weight my options before school starts again this fall. I know this isn't a review, but after I make my purchase on whatever I get, I'll make sure to post back.

For law school? I wouldnt carry one of those around especially if it was a Herschel. That brand seems to attract a specific crowd that I wouldn't associate law students with. I'd go with a shoulder bag from Incase or a messenger from Kenneth Cole. About equal in price, but way more professional looking.

I've had many skins on many devices and for the MacBook the wrapsol matte was easily the best.

I just did a google search on Wrapsol and I am a little embarrassed I've never heard of them after all these years of owning Apple products. There are a lot good reviews on them. I'm going to have to look into this more. Thanks!

Not sure if this has been posted, but for you ECO FREAKS out there, I got the coffee bag one for my rMBP and my iPhone and love them. http://www.colcasac.com/macbook-sleeve/

This looks pretty tempting. I am looking for a vertical sleeve to hold in my North Face surge. It looks kind of big for it though after watching some review videos. :/

The Slim Sleeve doesn't fit, it's a little bit too big for the rMBP

Here's a photo: https://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?p=15412351#post15412351

Thanks for the heads up. I won't order it, I'll wait for something designed specifically for the rMBP. :)

Just got this sleeve in the mail, it's high quality, looks good, and fits my MPBr perfectly: http://www.booqbags.com/us/sleeves/mamba-sleeve/MSL15-BLK

I'm interested in this sleeve. Could you possibly post a picture of your rMBP inside of it so we can see how tight the fit is? Thanks!

Yea, its releasing in a week or so, thats why I am waiting.

Do you know for certain that it is coming soon? I have been waiting for the Speck case ever since the rMBP was announced, and I've been checking their website nearly everyday.

Was thinking about getting a rMBP neoprene sleeve. But I've found a old neoprene sleeve for my late-2006 MBP. It turned out to fit almost perfect. :)

Do you have the make and model. I'm after something just like that.

TA.
