Another new feature I don't think has been mentioned here yet: there's now an option to mess up the desktop. Right click on the desktop, hold alt and the "clean up" prompt will transform into a literal "mess up" prompt which seems to randomly shuffle the icons all across the desktop.

Might have originally been put in to demonstrate the stacks feature but it's nice that they are keeping it in.
Reminds me of how holding down shift would cause all of the system animations to go at half speed- this is how Jobs demonstrated the new system animations in OS X 10.0 in September 2000...

I recently upgraded from El Capita to High Sierra and noticed that they removed the notification settings that allowed you to limit how many an app could show in NC - (eg, set it so no more than 5 notifications for each app show).

Can anyone using the Mojave beta let me know if the feature is back?

I couldn't make a screen shot, and it does not look well on my screen photo either, but the black logo + progress bar boot screen has been changed I think. It seems that the white Apple logo has a little blueish glow effect around it.

2018, and 'stickies' still has the ugliest icon ever...

EDIT: but really like having the news app, and having that synced to my phone.
EDIT2: news, crashing regularly on my macbook.... :(

To be fair, the stickies app most likely won't get updated anymore as the regular notes app is at a point where the functionalities not only overlap but where the notes app is superior to it in pretty much any way I can think of. That's not to say that the stickies app doesn't still have its uses for some people, but it's understandable that Apple doesn't put development resources into an app when they have another app that does the same and much more.

It's nice that they are keeping it around for legacy reasons though so that people who are still using it aren't forced to switch.

Edit: Also I wouldn't exactly call the current stickies icon ugly, but I suppose that's up to personal taste. It's not really modern anymore but I've seen apps with far worse icons.

WiFi Calling over iCloud is now supported by IOS 12 beta 2. I have macOS Mojave beta 2 on my MacBook pro and cannot activate Wifi Calling over iCloud. Does anyone else have this issue? Or do they know of a fix?

How do you guys use the launchpad icons so big?
It's actually the first thing I change when installing new OS...
I match my app icons size to the icons on the dock

not sure if this has been addressed; can w

i use it for a few 'immediate' notes i want on my mac, but not everywhere. i changed the icon in apps folder, but it still shows in the app switcher (i prob need to change the .icns in the package resources)? which i will do next!

for me, it's always been ugly!

For anyone interested, in the mojave (public beta 1) was added support for portrait mode for dell up2715k at 5k@60hz.

the display was connected to a macbook pro 2016 through an egpu radeon rx580 (akitio node box with thunderbolt 3)

my finder folders are still blue... only the trash can seems different in dark mode (that, and the sidebar icons). are you seeing dark icons anywhere else?

There's a subtle difference between the two, but they must be stored in a different location somewhere...

So did they bring options back to Notification settings?

I must confess, I really don't like the new dark mode. It feels unnatural. Too bad I cannot have my dock and menu bar dark only anymore.

I thought I would like dark mode. But I really don't. It makes things like HTML emails and web pages all the more strident.

i'm sticking it out for now, adapting. it could use some work, and agreed... emails on white backgrounds look horrible in it. but will see how i feel down the line (i think, overall, i prefer it to the light mode)...

definitely very apple; all or nothing...
