Beta 3: Dynamic wallpapers now have their own section within the wallpaper picker. The thumbnail showing the dynamic wallpaper has also changed
The options are grayed-out right now regardless of the UI theme, but it looks like this means we'll eventually be able to use the full dynamic wallpaper with the UI dark mode enabled, and not just the dark / night version. Also, the preview on the left cycles through the different images now.

i even cant open "Desktop&Screensaver" or "Security&Privacy" on beta3. SystemPreferences freeze when i try. Any fix?

Agreed with both. It just feels unnatural to me. I like dark modes with software like Logic Pro and Adobe CC. But for my daily software I'll pass.
I just wish they would make everything light or dark. Make Logic, FCP, iMovie, Garageband, etc. all have a light mode. I would be much more inclined to switch back and forth if everything changed. I'd also love if apps like Pixelmator gave us light mode. Affinity Photo and Designer gave a light mode a bit ago.

Grab.app is no longer present in beta 3.
Are you sure it's not tucked away? They put DVD player in some system folder.

  • Safari cookies are now fixed for me.
  • Activity Monitor has a slightly updated design. New cpu usage icon too, but for me it's broken.

  • Finder sidebar icons look thinner:

When are they going to add full GPU support for Activity Monitor? I want to see memory usage and all that.

apparently, yes

And they're worse... Assuming all the old colors aren't included still when you scroll down.

Almost like all these colourful additions (accent colour being changeable now too) are meant to colour match a possible upcoming colourful Mac product... ;)

Beyond the scope of possibility... and not only never going to happen, it would be a horrible idea to evne consider it.

Oh I see, you're just a fan of Apple's signature cold grey aluminium that has been around for the past 15 years now... Not saying change for the sake of change but I was one of those people who liked the design of the iPhone 5c and would have liked to see it furthered into other product lines :p

The 5C colors were ugly, IMO. What was the point? Given the choice between the two, I most definitely would pick the "signature cold grey aluminum" over the ugly, plastic candy colors of the 5C.

Apple has played around with other colors, beyond the two choices you offer... anodized aluminum in gold, space grey, rose gold on various devices, and the product red for iPhones... options that are not as uninspired as those on the 5C line.

I don't know, I like both of the aesthetics. What I really hate is this gold fad. But it's an option. Just not for me!
I just think the accent colours offered in Mojave are a cool addition, and I liked it when Apple had more colour in the Mac line and wouldn't mind a return to that!
EDIT: Also, that product red offering for iPhone, how sexy is that! Colour can be good, you see :p

You would have heard about it by now if there was. ;)

I hope every product has Face ID in the coming years though once it gets cheap enough.

I don't expect it to come to the existing Mac models, but upcoming MacBooks may have the required hardware. Sometimes the frameworks associated with soon-to-be-released hardware show up in betas...

Anyone else having issues playing embedded videos (like youtube) in Chrome with Mojave. Mine won't play at all. Works fine in Safari---not at all in Chrome.

In Beta 3: The Finder opening animation introduced in the last beta (expands like Safari) appears to have been removed. Safari no longer has the animation either. Probably decided it was better to have everything one way.

The Trash emptying sound has also returned.

Share Icon in Safari toolbar no longer offers ability to share web article etc via Twitter.

Anyone running Mojave beta on the mid-2012 unibody MacBook Pro?

How's it run?
Runs like every other beta. A bit faster and a bit slower. It will be just as good as HS by the time it ships I'm sure. I've never noticed any slowdown since I got my machine with Mountain Lion.

Same here, first Retina 15" MacBook Pro, runs fine.

But today on non-Retina model from same year I got this crash on APFS. It happened multiple times while either Firefox Developer Edition or Safari were open. System started to lag then suddenly crashes with message that system has to be restarted.
