Here to report Mac Pro Early 2008 with GeForce 8800 GT works perfectly with macOS Mojave! Haven't noticed any UI glitches yet nor the slow down reported from the Nvidia Graphics **workaround**.

EDIT: Okay maybe some UI Glitches but Reduce Transparency seems to really help, along with Dynamic Desktop not working.

Can someone tell me a step by step on how to fix my Camera? I did replace the files on /System/Library/Extensions but my iSight still does not work

I used these with kextutilty on my iMac 8.1 and got my Isight to work

Mac Pro 3.1 with Apple HD5870:

Patcher 0.1b10

Post Install App works again :)
legacy graphics gives now HD5870 acceleration !! :)
some little glitches, but much better now

btw, my other 3.1 with GTX680 was running like a cat, even without any patches (beside platformSupport.plist, boot.efi and com.apple.telemetry.plugin)

Just for lolz, I dumped in the HD 5770 in my hackintosh and applied the video patch. Got acceleration (translucent menus, etc) but it's quite laggy (windowserver hogs all 4 cores for any graphics intense stuff like opening launchpad)
The 5770 is recognized with 1 GB vram too

Hi,
i installed successfully on my macbook pro early 2011 but cannot boot kernel panic
any body please help me to fix kernel panic
thanks

Provided I am still on Mojave beta 2 and iSight still works OOB, the entire IOUSBHostFamily.kext is mandatory to make any HID USB devices working on Mojave, don't know these simplifier Kext-easy-Installer apps to me once work and 10 nope, maybe KextUtility is more reliable, but in general when I install/copy/replace a kext/plugin/bundle/unix/plist I do it manually through chown/chmod entire S/L/E and then kextcache -i / (possibly directly booting from single user mode sudo free).

To me both iSight Camera and Photo Booth work just replacing IOUSBHostFamily.kext from HS 10.13.6, not sure it will work from Mojave beta 3, but I attach anyway my untouched Mojave beta 2 IOUSBFamily.kext, just for those interested in keeping a possible more updated fix instead using the HS one.

Hi guys - I can almost confirm that none of these solutions will work on a mbp 5,3. Replacing both or one IOUSBFamily kexts will fail in different ways. The worst of which is a complete lock up after boot (no mouse - no track - no display or keyboard control). USB HID devices will also not work in Safe Mode. Restoring your system will always require a reboot to recovery, swapping back the kexts you have hopefully saved, rebuilding kext caches etc...Same old dance. Proceed with caution.

Just Report the Gigabyte GeForce 210 1gig

works well DVI Port full QE/CI with the Fix old Nvidia
Thanks: to all users and particular dosdude1, ASentientBot

MacBook 6,1 can’t get the iSight to work either. I replaced and tried different methods with the kexts replacements etc and nothing seems to work. I had to reinstall because the usbs were not responsive

Anyone have an idea or fix?

I think they were from a early post in this forum they are beta kexts from 2016 they worked on my iMac 8.1 then I installed the iousbfamily kext on page 110 but that one crashed my system but do beware I reinstalled Mojave and tried those kexts and got a kernel panic

With the strange posts going on in here, which post are you referring to?

I stopped reading the thread about three weeks ago (page 34) thinking my old Core 2 Duo Macs were lost causes, but today I drop back in and WOW.

Installed and tested on two pre-2010 machines, MacBookPro5,5 and MacBook5,1. Works but there was an error during setup. On the welcome page I got a UIKitSystem quite unexpectedly error. Strange.

Nonetheless, the system seems to work on my nVidia 9400M. I just ran the patcher with the default settings for my Macs. I don't recall checking off a legacy video box, but maybe it was already checked with the b10 patcher. I can't remember.

Interestingly, VeganMacGuy in the MacBook6,1 High Sierra video glitch thread mentioned the 9400M h.264 playback glitch disappeared in Mojave. I can confirm the that the iPhone X webpage video glitch is gone with nVidia 9400M in Mojave. Is this because the patched OS uses 10.12 Sierra kexts?

iSight doesn't work on either machine, but I didn't do any kext swapping. The green light comes on, but nothing displays. Hopefully that will be included in a later version of the patcher.

Thanks guys! This is looking good.

Welcome back I am really enjoying macOS Mojave on both my iMacs 8,1 and 9,1 I like my 9.1 better as I bought the 8,1 cheap $35 but whoever had it before had Windows XP running on it I see the burn XP image and the sticker is on the back for windows xp

if you can't remember what patches you ran, run Patch Updater & will provide info & updates.

Yes, our old MBP 5xs are still alive! Only big glitch on my 5,3 is iSight, but then again never got it to work reliably on both Sierras also. I am getting lots of Core Media related errors in my system log (when I open Photo Booth or FaceTime). Oh well. I'm not too confident that any amount of simple kext swapping will fix this (reliably) on our 10 year old hw. I just installed the latest Mojave debug kernel but nothing related currently jumps out at me.

Amazing that Mojave runs so smoothly though. Counting my blessings... and loving the feel of our old keyboards... :)

you could always use a external usb camera could find them cheap on eBay I'm glad I found one will save messing with things :)

What version of the patch tool did you use? If you used an old version, you'll need to create a new installer drive with the latest version of the Mojave Patcher tool, boot from that, and run the post-install patch on your Mojave volume. The latest version includes all of the latest additions for video card support.

Hi! @dosdude1
I have downloaded and applied b10 patch, but still not video acceleration and only 1024x768 resolution on my Macmini mid 2010 (Macmini4,1) 8 GB RAM Nvidia Geforce 320M DDR3 Core 2 Duo Penryn 2400 Mhz. Same result with or without legacy video patch.

@ASentientBot have you reports of others Macmini 2010 working with Mojave? My monitor is a Samsung S24D300 perfecty working and immediately synching full HD with High Sierra, with Mojave it is unknown.

Thank you!
