I have a macbook 5,2 and sleep works well however trackpad is unfixable, I use a mouse

I have it too. Sleep works perfect (almost in 10.14.0).

I fix trackpad buying one of an older macbook pro. Is a multitouch trackpad with same dimensions so you can change it.

The only thing that doesn’t works is the webcam but i don’t use it so for me the computer is fully ussable.

@dosdude1 Do you recommend using the APFS Rom Patcher before attempting to upgrade to 10.14.1 at this point (for a MBP 5,4)?
Not necessarily, but it looks like using APFS is a requirement to successfully install the OTA updates... You can install to an APFS partition using the APFS patch (text at boot), or you can use the APFS ROM Patcher if you want... Of course, there is a small chance you'll brick your system if something goes wrong while running APFS ROM Patcher.

@dosdude1 Are we able to update via System Preferences without any issues? (MacBook Pro Mid 2010, SSD, Apple File System formatted)
On APFS volumes, updating *should* work, but I'm not sure. Also not 100% sure if it works on HFS volumes either. Worst case, it can be installed by making a new installer volume with the latest patcher, and installing onto your volume.

I just downloaded the updated patcher but it patched the usb to fast should that be a concern ?

So im going to have to.
Backup internal drive on external hfs+ Drive
Install 10.14.1 clean on internal as an apfs volume
Migrate from my external backup
Backup apfs to another external drive
Format internal drive as hfs+
Use carbon copy cloner to copy files from apfs to hfs+

Apologies for the delay, but Mojave Patcher has been updated, and now will work just fine with the latest 10.14.1 release.
Dosdude1, can you please send me the tool by e-mail?
In China, I can not download the file by both two ways that you provide.

Don't bother to do that. penguinqq shares me the file.

Gugule...

Two points
1) it is a big file so can’t be emailed

2) you know if you live in china you must buy a Vpn. Everyone who is anyone has a vpn in china. And if you dont have one ask your friends they do.

I am trying to install 10.14.1 using DosDude's latest on my MacBook Air mid 2011. Previous install worked, but the boot disk is stuck on a full Progress bar. Any ideas?

Do I have to remove FileVault2?
