I'll wait for Hybrid patch update for install this.
Recovery partition can be fixed the same as in the previous version?

I think Yes, but check dosdude1 page, there is a difference if you use APFS or HFS+

"-- Using APFS on Late-2009 and later machines will work no differently than it did with High Sierra. -- It is recommended that you only use APFS if the target drive is an SSD.
-- If you have a machine that did NOT natively support High Sierra (and therefore cannot boot APFS volumes natively), please note the following:
-- If you use APFS, you will not have a bootable Recovery partition.
-- If you decide to use APFS, a custom booting method will be installed by the post-install tool, as the firmware of these unsupported machines does not natively support booting from APFS volumes. It is not quite as clean as native booting, but will not cause any issues while running Mojave. A demo of the modified booting process can be viewed here."

while inside this path copy the file prelinkedkernel into the previous Finder Window, exactly were you renamed those 3 files, lastly rename this fresh copied file from prelinkedkernel to immutablekernel

Is that right? Should I delete those files? I also copied PlatformSupportbackup.plist is it necesseary?

For those of you with systems that are stuck at around 75% or so:

Same issue happened to my Mac mini 5,1.... I was able to resolve this by

logging in remotely
invalidating the kernel cache: sudo kextcache -i /
rebooting: sudo reboot

Installation completed as expected and everything is working correctly.

Please can you explain how to do this for those who are not used to ?

Thanks :)

Same here, after apply post-Install patches, and reboot, except i'm stuck on the end off the progress bar since 30 minutes. No desktop.

Now trying clean Install.

iMac 10.1
Samsung SSD

Same situation here.
Progress bar full but it is stuck now.
It seems that I need to do a clean install again!
It is a pain in the ass of course but I created the system yesterday so I only lose one day.

Since 14.1 my Mac Pro 3.1 does not boot from Mojave until I use the boot picker (alt-key on cold start)

Just a freezing white screen, no stop sign. EFI GPU is in.

-no_compat_check and -v is set as boot-args

Zapping pram wont help, setting startup disk via control panal neither.

I am not exactly sure if that happened before as I almost always chose the boot picker.

Yes, it's strange this time, as if the company did something new to keep us out. But it's just pure frustrated speculation at this moment :) ...

Yes, instead of deleting I suggest to rename them, and mostly you have to rename the PlatformSupport.plist to avoid the Mac model id check.

A working way I know is using Target Disk Mode Mac feature.

But, this is the second part of the your guide. And you are saying copy the files you already renamed and I copied the files from inside random number folder(Which I renamed it there) to PrelinkedKernels folder.

I renamed here;

Then Copied from here;(Arrows are copied files) Then should I delete files inside red Square files right?

Edit: I deleted those files after restart press Alt but no recovery partition just EFI HD and TimeMachine Drive listed.

Thanks for your reply. penguinqq shares the tool for me. I don't need VPN for the moment. But I will find another way to share the file from outside China.
[doublepost=1540961290][/doublepost]Strange thing! I can download the old versions of the tool from dosdude1's website, including 1.2.2
So, dosdude1, can you just add the latest version of the tool to the list?

You may have to refresh the page at http://dosdude1.com/mojave/ in Safari. I ran into that last night were a cached version of the page was being used until I refresh it in the browser.

Quick question BuffyzDead, as we have the same model mac mini, I was wondering if you are having any bluetooth audio issues? Cheers

No Issues whatsoever.
My AirPods even show up as Device option (from top-right bluetooth menu) where I can connect and disconnect at will.
Truth be told, that is the only audio device I connect via Bluetooth

but my Magic Mouse 2 (built-in rechargeable battery)
( Magic Mouse 1(uses batteries), does not work, since it will not give you right-click options, under this Mojave work-around)
and my Apple Magic Keyboard (battery using model) work perfectly.

This little Mac mini works excellently under Mojave.
So indebted to this Mojave work by the community and by @dosdude1

Clean install worked for me.
The problem is that I don't want to install everything from scratch, every time a Mojave version is out.
How can I use the form (Transfer Information to this mac) that appears in the clean install procedure?
Thank you.

Re-apply the post-install patch.

Hello there and thank you for your efforts!
In my case (MacBook Pro mid 2010) only clean install worked for upgrading to 10.14.1
Applying your latest patch (after doing an official system update I get a freeze bar so I reboot from the usb) got me only a full loading system bar.

No, absolutely not, don't delete they are needed to boot macOS, you have just to copy them into your Recovery and leave all there, once you applied my suggested fix try to boot with CMD+R after power-on chime , post here the screen in case it won't boot in APFS Recovery.

Till now is not possible to show APFS Recovery holding alt-option key at the startup manager, but only with Command+R .

Only clean installe from USB stick made with macOS patcher tool 1.2.3 and mac OS 10.4.1 update + post-install patch work here on iMac 10,1.

if i import my clone 10.14 user i get a loop and i'm stuck. i had to reclone from 10.14.

@dosdude1 is there any way to hide APFS boot.log?

Why you deleted those files into the Prelinkedkernels folder ? I never told to delete them neither their "backup".

However it is recoverable, no need re-install and no need a timemachine, meanwhile boot with CMD+R or with any USB Mojave Installer.

Once you booted launch Terminal and type:

cd /Volumes/"Your Mojave Label"/System/Library/PrelinkedKernels/
ls
mv prelinkedkernelbackup prelinkedkernel
reboot

Ok. I did but it doesnt work. No recovery. I am using APFS drive. When I click to Command+R I am getting this error; After this error system boot normally but no Recovery Mode;

I didntdelete the files just move the desktop for try. After try it didnt work and you create new post and said dont delete it after reading your post I move those files to own place and restart after chime I press Command+R and getting this error.

The part2 of my "APFS Recovery fix" is intended for those who need to adjust the CMD+R feature inside their hybrid HFS/APFS partition, also the part1 is mandatory for them to apply before part2.
The part2 is not needed for those who have a only APFS container.

It's all right, you are almost there, it is exactly your APFS Recovery path where the boot.efi is pointing is correct, just do this copy from your /System/Library/PrelinkedKernels/ folder ONLY the file prelinkedkernel into your /Volumes/Recovery/Your-random-numbers-letters/

then ONLY inside this path /Volumes/Recovery/Your-random-numbers-letters/ simply rename the fresh copied file from prelinkedkernel to immutablekernel, that's it.

After done booting with CMD+R you will land to your APFS Recovery.
Keep in mind that from there you can't re-install Mojave, but only use the Utilities.
