Hi,

Since I'm getting panics on my MacBookPro 5,1 with Mojave 10.14.4, I've decided to go back to 10.14.3. I'm hoping that someone could please kindly point me to the full Mojave 10.14.3 Installer file. I tried downloading it again with the Patcher v1.2.3, however when I Get Info, it says the Mojave Installer version is 14.4.08. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

-ITG

I noticed that 10.14.4 seems to like to do a swap to the drive even when there is plenty of RAM available. I might be wrong but I don't remember that 10.14.3 was acting in the same way(even with only 2GB of RAM installed). I am not sure if there is any benefit for the system to swap to the drive but I really hope that this is one of those smart "under the hood" improvements. Anybody else noticed that?

Hello, I updated my MBP 8.1 to the 10.14.4 and now I have issue with the screensavers, some of them don't work ( Ididn't try all of them).
I tried to apply the 10.14.4accel but I'm (very) not familiar with the Terminal.
So I just replaced the files manualy and reboot. Then I repatched with the mojave patcher.
But the problem is still here.
Any idea about my problem?
I know, lot of peoples here talk about this kind of problem, I rode almost the 546 pages from the first version of Mojave is out, but I'm french so sometimes if its too technical it's difficult for me ;)

I used few times but I guess dosdude1's Mojave Patcher is able to Patch any version, even if the Installer reports an updated version, assuming you have downloaded in a folder the "MacOS Mojave Install.app", so you should find a "10.14.3 (18D109) Full Installer app", and you can create a patched 10.14.3 installer from it.

Screensavers as Origami, Floating, Reflections and all those with animated slideshow pictures require absolutely OpenGL Video Acceleration.

After you re-patched be sure to select from Post-Install "Video patch" and mark "Force cache rebuild".

from the APFS Recovery (CMD+R), open Terminal and type:

nvram boot-args="-no_compat_check -x"
reboot

This will enforce entering in safe mode, then to return normal mode you have to type later:
nvram boot-args="-no_compat_check"

Thanks, with nvram boot-args="-no_compat_check -x" it boots in safe boot.
Well, after that i tried to reboot to recovery mode and i got a prohibitory sign!

Did boot with usb mojabe patcher and with nvram boot-args="-no_compat_check" and recovery worked again.
Why it happened i have no idea. I didn't do any nvram reset (option+command+p+r)

Now the safe mode issue persists.
Entering in safe boot with the shift key is still impossible. I still get the prohibitory sign.

I'm able to boot in safe mode in my Mac Pro 3,1 upgraded with the same usb mojave patcher from 10.14.3 too.

Where the problem is ? Why MBP cannot and MP can ? LOL

Thanks anyway for your assistance. If you have any idea let me know. Much appreciated.

I did that everytime I updated since 10.14

Hi and thanks for your reply. I'm looking for the 10.14.3 Mojave Installer file. I no longer have it on this computer and I'm trying to find it. Thanks.

Then I don't know.

@jacklude

I did reset nvram and the result is that command+r lasts to a prohibitory sign.

And of course safe boot with shift key lasts to a prohibitory sign as before.

Will boot with mojave patcher to enable nvram boot-args="-no_compat_check" for having back at least the recovery.

The safe boot with shift key in my MBP6,2 seems to be a mystery

Shift key on unsupported Mojave mac doesn't work most of the times, you need to set exactly that nvram you're to going to type, then you can boot everything.

not a good day on my 2009 iMac 9,1 endless reboot so I did a clean install with 10.14.4 applied the patches can't even get past setting up my iMac it reboots wish I had a backup copy of 10.14.3 :(

You can reinstall over your current 10.14.4 a previous Mojave, I guess all the versions, but I tested as downgrade until 10.14.2 , anyway you won't lose your datas re-installing over it.

I upgraded my 13" Mid 2009 MBP to High Sierra today and was contemplating moving to Mojave but having read some of the latest posts here I'm now thinking this isn't such a great idea? From what I've seen so far High Sierra appears to be nice and stable on my MacBook Pro.

I don't have a copy of of 10.14.3 the Mojave Patcher 1.2.3 downloads the current macOS I think I need to brick my iMac I am so mad all my college work lost

Thanks, did not notice it before even on 10.14, 1,2,3 as i do not enter in safe mode in general.
Yeah, i would like to have everything working in my MBP6,2 , but "You can't always get what you want" as Rolling Stones said :)

The good thing is that APFS recovery works with your script. I will test in my MP3,1 too :)

Thanks for the good work and assistance.

I guess the MBP now tries to boot as default from faulty AMD GPU, and won't let you set or reset nvram, I read somewhere that if removed the Resistor R8911: https://www.jeffgeerling.com/blog/2...o-booting-grey-screen-amd-radeon-video-glitch

will boot again and defaultly from IntelHD3000 that is a very resistant GPU to time wear and stressing I'd say.

Even if I still think if you let few days (powered off) in a cold place your MBP, it will boot again and you from CMD+S will be able to set the IGPU HD3000 through that "long string" nvram command, without removing that Resistor.
1 day and didn’t work yet. I will leave it again for some days... . Maybe it will work. Hopefully... .

Can i take out the ssd and then set everything up? I got another Mac that I could use.
Thanks in advance my friend!

But you don't Erased the drive? Your datas work are still there, then try the same advise I given to others boot from your USB Mojave 10.14.4 Installer, launch Terminal and type:

nvram boot-args="-no_compat_check -x -v"
reboot

The you should be able to boot your current iMac in low graphics mode, to save your works.

It was working fine yesterday but today it rebooted several times after getting on my desktop so I did a clean install wiped my drive then reinstalled 10.14.4 but now I can't get past setting up my iMac get to setting up iCloud then reboots this time I applied the atherosclerosis wifi patch and got to my desktop but as soon as I logged in it rebooted and I don't have a atherosclerosis wifi card mine is bcm

Of course you can, but some patches are maybe slightly different from the Mac model, anyway I'd say more than 50% of the patches are common to all the unsupported Mojave Mac, so once you installed a patched you will able to boot it from almost any Mac you move the ssd.

Then boot holding CMD+S (single user mode) and type:

fsck -fy
mount -uw /
nvram boot-args="-no_compat_check -x"
reboot

edit:
Sorry I don't understand you meant Atheros wifi card as a joke?
Anyway try my advise after you should be able to complete the MacOS Welcome Screen.

For those who have mid 2009 iMac's with Nvidia 9400 gnu if you have a hard time installing 10.14.4 go to the High Sierra for unsupported Macs download the High Sierra patcher then macOS High Sierra then create a usb patcher when you install macOS Mojave 10.14.4 apply the post install patches force cache reboot but remove your Mojave Patcher then boot into the High Sierra patch er install only the backlight patch reboot apple the patcher updates then when you get back on your desktop open your High Sierra patcher then click on applications then utilities then macOS post install install only the ambient light patch, reboot after reinstall all patches from the patch updater I have had no KP been up a running for 5 hours even ran the aerial screensaver no issues :)

Interesting. Do you think the High Sierra backlight patch solves the issue?

iMac 27" 10,1 on 10.14.4 also not working on screensaver....flurry just show black screen
seems only this saver can't be run

no but it got me into the desktop so I could install the updated backlight patch from the the patch updater but I think the ambient light patch from High Sierra is keeping my iMac more stable with 10.14.4
Are results reproducible? That would be significant clue to solve this puzzle.
