The "1" seems to be compulsory if you want to be on the Beta update channel. The only way to get rid of it is to leave the Beta channel altogether. Apple makes it a point to remind you that Mojave is the past and Catalina is the future.

@TimothyR734 Any chance you can upload those IOUSBFamily.kext and IOUSBHostFamily.kext from the 10.14.6 Beta 3?
Hope these will work for you avz :)

what is your GPU in your Mac Pro and what year is it and is your hdd/ssd formatted APFS
Hello Timothy,

I have a Mac Pro 3.1. Early 2008. It is Quad core with 8gb of RAM: https://everymac.com/systems/apple/mac_pro/specs/mac-pro-quad-core-2.8-2008-specs.html

When I use APFS I format only the partition. I have one partition for El Capitan (supported) and the other one for Mojave Trials. The HDD (top level) is on Mac Extended Journaled.

Thanks for your support !

Kind regards.

With Mojave it will run on HFS Extended Journaled but you won't receive updates that's why its recommended to convert to APFS and I am not quite sure your supports booting APFS natively and you should have a partition 30GB or more for Mojave you can try installing on a partition HFS and yes it does take a while sometimes to boot up throughly and sometimes if it hangs like that it will boot quicker the second time from my experience :)

That update is for all non-Metal cards, so you can go ahead and install it.
Another question. I'm following the guide to disable the amd gpu. I entered the first nvram prompt. All good.

But when I try to boot in recovery mode(command +R) it gives by the screen with a stop sign. I have my original USB installer plugged in.

Can I just just run the terminal command on my regular install/non-recovery mode. Will that cause a problem?

Hey @TimothyR734,

They appear to be from High Sierra, I am wondering how they ended up being in your Mojave 10.14.6 Beta 3?

did not apply the usb post install patches do you have a spare external usb hdd and a spare patcher usb :)
[doublepost=1561787560][/doublepost]I could ask Julian to add you to the link for macOS Mojave 10.14.3 or you could try the ones that I posted for Cat as there is only only one post install patch for it

That's OK. I have 10.14.5 ones that are working great for me, I was just wondering why my iSight was not working with the stock 10.14.6 Beta 3 ones, that is all.

its weird as my iSight camera stopped working after 10.14.5 and .6 beta 3 but upgraded to Cat on my mid 2009 iMac didn't do a clean install but my iSight is working again its not great but it works where as my mid 2009 MacBook 5,2 the iSight stopped working during High Sierra but worked again with 10.14.6 beta 3
[doublepost=1561788427][/doublepost]The only issues I have with Cat is light mode is still broke and so is the photo app but runs quite smoothly in dark mode and of course on the OP for Mojave it does state iSight is hit or miss lol :)

It looks like I have the exact opposite situation with the MB5,1.

I do have a Hdd coming for my MacBook 7,1 and will install 10.14.3 when it arrives then send you those then upgrade to 10.14.6 and send those :)

I have already tried 10.14.3, they don't work OOB. That is why 10.14.3 still requires a Legacy USB patches. The major breakthrough happened with the 10.14.5 when they started working OOB(pre 2010 machines still require LegacyUSBInjector).

Have you selected the Legacy Video Patch in the post install utility?

Also sometimes worth trying a different usb drive (16GB or larger)

I wonder if its possible when I install 10.14.3 not enroll in the beta program skip the 10.14.4 update I wonder if I then can go to 10.14.5

Yes, this is exactly how it works. I myself installed 10.14.3 first and then updated to 10.14.5, because I only had the 10.14.3 installer and did not want to re-download the 10.14.5 installer. I have a doubt that 10.14.4 is still available via OTA in System Preferences.

The Info.plist and Version.plist of a kext most of the times are not updated by the OTA because they don't need, what matters is the Contents/MacOS's "Kext" binary exec that must be updated , so the files that @TimothyR734 has uploaded should be the 10.14.6 ones.

@avz on Mojave/Catalina the majority of my kext Info and Version plist are from 10.13 , because I often followed the OTA upgrade process, or upgrading over a previous OSX, so they are kept.

Yes, I found this very confusing as my 10.14.5 kexts have much later build numbers in info.plist and version.plist than the ones that he uploaded. The Catalina ones seem to have perfectly updated info.plist and version.plist. I guess I will just let it update itself at the next .6 Beta.

I guess it's very possible, since on a 10.14.3, without ignoring the "T2 Chip update", I am prompted from "Software Update" for a Catalina beta update.
