Installed 10.14.6 via OTA then re-patched using USB stick made from dosdude patch

I lost Night Shift even after reapplied NS patch.
I lost smooth graphics, animation became choppy.
For some odd reasons my display is now mirrored to an invisible 23.5" screen.

Any ideas how to fix...?

EDIT: Nvm, Patch post-install again with Force Cache Rebuild seems to have fixed the issues.

Anyone noticed that the Night Shift toggle on the Notification Center is now missing...?

Nothing has changed with that regard... An EFI flashed or Apple official video card is required in order to see the installer and boot menu.
What are you saying i can't use generic pc cards anymore with your patcher? It used to work beautifully before 1.3.3 and now the screen stays black with the gpus i have.
Do you know if 1.3.2 can handle 10.14.6 ?

And, if I remember well,... if is APFS boot previously, I thinkg that we should uncheck it in the post-past process, doesn't it?
Dont stick the USB before the OTA. After the OTA is completed you get a screen with the non-bootable logo.
You stick the USB on which you have Dosdude's patcher, boot on it, post-patch with force rebuild and boot to your original hard disk (under APFS) and its done.......

Can someone provide me a link to instruction on how to solve hibernate/reboot/shutdown issue on MacBook Pro 8,2 (15 inch Late 2011)? Can't find on this thread.

I am planning to move my 2013 MBP Mojave by Carbon Copy to a 2011 17" MBP until Catalina comes out.

1. Do I clone it over and then apply the Mojave Patch?

2. After I am done with the 17" 2011 MBP, what's the best way to clone everything back to 2013 MBP?
  • Reinstall OSX by USB without format? I believe this keeps all my files and programs intact.
  • Keep a record of new/changed files and just copy them over?

How would you do it?

I did an OTA update on a Macbook Air 4,1. After install & patch completion I booted and the Patch Updater loaded for the System Update and Legacy Video Card Patch. Is this one different than the one from the latest DosDude patcher?

The Legacy Video Card Patch just seemed to hang part way through .Gave up after 10 min.
Oops. The Patch Updater needs to be given Full Disk Access. Then it works just fine.

Hi fellows !

Another success story on 10.4.6

Mojave_1046.png

I used the macOS Mojave Patcher version 1.3.3 on 2 iMac late 2009 21 and 27" both 10.1, thanks a lot to dosdude1 for the good work, and jackluke for guiding me beautifully at first !

I also used the right method who worked for me and proposed by DaniloGeekDude :

Yes, i also had this problem and solution from post #14976 seem to work. Shutdown ok, reboot ok, logout ok, sleep - i think fans are spinning while sleep while display/keyboard light are off (?). Macbook Pro Early 2011 15".

Good luck!

I'm going to try OTA and then run @dosdude1's Mojave Patcher 1.3.3. So the latest @pkouame Hybrid patches work as well? If it does, can you tell me the latest version for the patches please? Thanks.

Update to 10.14.6 GM worked for me (albeit very slow process)

OTA | Post Install | rebuild Caches.

Thanks to @dosdude1 for the patcher, @pkouame for the hybrid patches, and @TimothyR734 for the assistance in confirming.

Is anyone else seeing this after an ota restart?

edit: never mind I’m an idiot. I thought it would get to the boot screen after the update. I restarted from the patcher, applied the updates and all appears well.

I was wrong, all is not well... Mac mini 5.1

First, I had the message pop up saying system patches were overwritten...

Now I have no sound.

You guys are going to get sick of me here soon, but I re-installed the patches and rebooted, and I have sound back again.

Here: HFS-Extended Journaled HD
Patcher 1.3.3 and download of 10.14.6 via patcher tool (was it really 10.14.6? the version.plist says: 14.6.02)
Installation aborted after 3min, because "something wrong".
"Fake" recovery partition installed, but nothing more.
Ideas?

Yes it is the correct version was it 3 mins into installation or 3 mins remaining as it did take a while mine kept flipping 3-4 mins remaining then 2 mins after a few mins then it to to 1 min then rebooted with just a tick over half way on the progress bar but when it rebooted I held the option button and booted into my patcher and applied the post install patches seems to running smooth it be trying to install firmware that could be the cause of it hanging
[doublepost=1563933132][/doublepost]Also run this in the terminal this should restore the recovery partition

In my case it stopped in about 3min after the beginning of the installation with an advice window "something went wrong... bla, bla, restart?"
So I restarted as you with option button into postinstall, but postinstall did not encounter data to be "postinstalled".
End of the road.
Go back to start, do the backup... :-(

Now I have another problem, my 10.14.5 recovery partition was replaced by a not working 10.14.6 version.
Where can I download a complete 10.14.5 .dmg for creating a dosdude install stick for creating a working recovery partition? (I deleted my 10.14.5 stick).
Because now you will get only a 10.14.6 via the dosdude download tool.

PM Julian to add you to the link he has for 10.14.3 if that will work for you :) but maybe boot into the patcher run disk utility check to see if you have any issues with you ssd/hdd then try and reinstall 10.14.6 also make sure you usb pen drive is 16GB I remember having that issues using a 8GB by mistake and check that to with disk utility

Anyone know a way I can overscan my acer predator x34 monitor with my MB Pr0 4,1? I hook up DVI to HDMI on the acer, and no configuration will stretch the screen. I have tried every setting in the display preferences, and also tried every combination in the monitor settings with no luck.

I have a samsung 34 inch ultrawide display that can connect the same way, and it overscans just fine, removing the black bars on the side of the screen, which tells me it has something to do with the monitor.
