Finally I decided to give Catalina another go after installing the very first 10.15 Beta on my MacBook5,1. The Catalina patcher is great, love the Dark Mode and very professional interface. I would love to have a bit more control over the patches as I could not find an option to disable the APFS patch. Patched the Night Shift manually. The performance of the DP6 is much better than the 10.15 Beta. Photos seems to be working, Maps crashing when zooming, unable to change the profile picture (Giant circle as per attached image). MCP79 is no longer recognised and listed as generic. All in all I am very happy with the result so far, thanks for the continued effort guys!

Good catch on the user picture thing, I'm having the same issue (although you can work-around it by dragging an image file into the circle). Can somebody please test this on a supported Mac?
Edit
: Replacing Accounts.prefPane from DP3 does not fix this issue, so it's most likely a more general graphics thing. Hoping it's a beta bug and not my wrappers...

You're also right about the SATA controller thing, but that shouldn't matter, right?

Thanks to everybody for testing :)

I downloaded the latest patcher 1.07 and used this to download a copy of Catalina. Run the patcher but my version of Catlaina is 19A526h. Does the patcher download the public beta or dev beta?

DP6 will have version number 15.0.25 and not the older 15.0.21 from DP5. If you use the 'macOS Downloader' from the link that dosdude1 posted then you won't have any issues getting the most current release each time.

You can disable the APFS patch by using the option in the menu of the patcher before you make your patcher disk.

The circle around the user account picture is also a bug on a supported Catalina Mac.

SATA controller does not matter as it still does what it supposed to do.

It seems that the Drift Screensaver is the new "Flurry" with a black window.

Disable APFS Booter is an Option in the Patcher's menu bar - I tend to forget setting it before proceeding to the patching process.
Giant circle also here, tried only after you've seen this. Some picture flashes briefly below the systems settings window before the giant circle shows.

"sudo trimforce enable" worked without setting read/write first.

Catalina DP6 looks very good to me, though still beta...

@dosdude1 Installed the latest patcher and Beta Catalina on a MacMini 3,1 everything worked but WiFi. I don't know why but the 3,1 also needs the Legacy Wi-Fi patch, but it isn't selected by default. Is there a way to have this patch default?

What's about the BCM4322? (Eventually I can reinstall the old BCM4321, but I would know what Wi-Fi module is working better under Catalina)
Oh, OK that's why your WiFi isn't working by default. Yeah, definitely keep the 4322, I'll update my patcher to install the normal Legacy WiFi patch by default as well.

Your volume have FileVault enabled? If so, you'll have to unlock it first with Disk Utility.

I can not seem to get the download right of Catalina via App Store. Yesterday tried to get via the dosdude1 app and the MacOS Patcher could not create an installer on the pen drive from it. Am I missing something?

I downloaded a new copy of Catalina and it was 15.0.25. I used this to build a usb installer but on the installer the Catalina is 15.0.21. No idea how that happened. Not sure how to resolve this.
