@0403979 The latest version of patch still does not make the internal hard drives visible for Catalina, like it is in unpatched version.
@dosdude1 As I said in my previous post, your patch makes the internal hard-drives visible to the Catalina installer but, after install, on first boot, the OS gets into a kernel panic, last line being something like: ”Still waiting for root device.” This happens on both my main SATA drive and on the secondary drive on my Hackintosh. Please tell me, what have you added to your patch the julianfaifax has not? Some changed kexts?
I have tried to install on HFS+, instead of APFS (the installer pen drive is on HFS+), but the drive was automatically converted to APFS. Would it be a good idea to format the drive into APFS using the Mojave installer, and then try to install? I think not, probably it will be automatically upgraded to the new APFS. Or is there a way to avoid the conversion of HFS+ to APFS? I do not plan to use HFS+ on the long run, just on the short term, until the issue gets resolved.

I downloaded the newest dosdude patch (1.08) and it downloads beta 5 of Catalina (19A526h). Any idea how to get it to download the beta 6?

If you're copying resources manually, patch.sh and restore .sh need to be renamed. Otherwise, you'll have to type patch.sh or restore.sh in the Terminal.

The standard video patches in macOS Patcher and macOS Catalina Patcher don't fix the transparency issues with light mode. That's what BlueSky is for.

So if don’t use light mode I don’t need it. Got it thanks.

Make sure your system date and time is set correctly.

Date was wrong but fixing it didn't help, I used your patch for Mojave and now at least I have Mojave working ;)
Now the EFI boot of the bootcamp partition is broken, I'm looking for a solution, do you have some resources? Cannot find a lot online

You deserve at least a beer :apple:
Thanks!

Non-Metal acceleration fixed (again) on Developer Beta 7.
I added two stub functions to the SkyLight wrapper. That's all it took this time.

Notes:
- I've only tested this for about ten minutes, so use with caution.
- The user picture glitch is fixed!
- Sidecar preference pane shows up by default for me; I don't have an iOS 13 device to test but I imagine it's still non-functional without Metal. Edit: I guess not Metal, but hardware video encoding instructions? I don't know much about it.
- I am shocked that this is still working.

Enjoy! :)

Awesome! Thank you yet again!

Like Cat6, this beta has lost the ability to install directly on an SSD mounted on a Sonnet PCIe card in Slot 2 (x16) of a MP 3,1. The workaround is to move the SSD to a regular SATA slot for the install, it will boot from PCIe after moving back to the PCIe card.
This could be a problem when wanting to install on a HighPoint PCIe card mounting four NVMe M.2 blades, which I occasionally do.
The Display port problem is still apparent too.

No problems installing DP7 on a MacPro 3,1 with GTX 680 using Mojave Patcher 1.0.8.
