@dosdude1 @ASentientBot Maybe it is normal, but CPU Core 2 Duo 2.4 Ghz Penryn on Macmini4,1 is still a little overcharged with DP 8 idle : CPU 1 6% - CPU 2 65% also closing all apps, and after file indexing. Using Mojave i get low charge with the same hardware. I cannot find processes that are abnormally consuming power (excepted monitor itself :)) . I'm available for all tests you need.

Mind uploading your Xcode files? I know nothing about machine learning stuff and I'd rather not learn just to test a crash.
Ha I don't mean the app. I mean when I try and share a screen from Finder it no longer prompts the other use to accept.

reinstall macOS Catalina and apply the post install patches then put this script I your /Library/LaunchDaemons folder reboot then try the BlueSky patches

I think I figured out what is wrong. Current Catalina build is 19A558d, but there is no mapping in file skylight_var.sh for this build. I have this version of BlueSky - "release-173615-310819". Maybe I downloaded wrong version. Could you please share a link to the latest BlueSky which supports Catalina Beta8?

Thank you for your help :)

I don't use the terminal for replacing the SkyLight and HIToolbox from BlueSky I replace the HIToolbox in /System/Library/Frameworks/Carbon.framework/Frameworks/HIToolbox.framework/Versions/A folder then replace the SkyLightOriginal in /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/SkyLight.framework/Versions/A folder then reboot and I am using the same version as you have

Yes, replacing manually those will still work, but @ASentientBot updated his patches to fix the Dock/window collisions and his SkyLight now is patched from 10.14.6 .

However using only a patched Catlaina HIToolbox should be independent from this, hence it will give the flat non-transparent finder menus, even if, for a better stability, it should be re-patched too from the current Catalina beta 8 one.

I cannot complete the USB setting up it has error, how can I reinstall the new Catalina.

Confirmed on MacPro 5,1. I pulled my RX580 and inserted the GT120 and, just like that, the photos tab disappeared in iPhoto. Some part of me believes that a developer at Apple helped us out by auto disabling the feature thus allowing us to use Photos.
Successfully running DP8 on my MBP5,2 17". USB installer produced with patcher 1.1.2 and installed over DP7.
Many thanks to dosdude1 and ASentientBot!

Photos shows the same behaviour as quoted (no photos tab), like in previous Catalina betas. Is not significant for me.

DP8 responds fast though still installed on an external SSD. Yet waiting for the Catalina release until I replace Mojave (10.14.6 supplemental 2) on the SATA SSD, but no obstacles seen.

(Had forgotten to select the option "disable APFS patch" during an earlier install. This still works for removing the surplus EFI, though not really necessary. In terminal:
- diskutil list (to look up the right volume for the EFI)
- sudo mkdir /Volumes/efi
- sudo mount -t msdos /dev/disk2s1 /Volumes/efi (for the external disk; normally would be disk0s1 for internal)
From the EFI present on the desktop, remove the "BOOT" folder and "apfs.efi" with finder.)

When I tried to install directly from settings, but update not found. I then tried from the downloaded OSMacinstall but received message that it can't be installed on this disk. I then booted to the patcher and tried from there. Got same message so couldn't install. I then erased the disk and installed from patcher. But then the restore from time machine didn't work. And Migration assistant didn't work.

Catalina Patcher doesn't provide Software Update support yet. However you should have been able to download DP8 with the 1.1.1 release of Catalina Patcher. The DP8 full installer will show a version number of 15.0.27.

Successfully updated my Mac Pro 5,1 with updated WiFi/BLE and video cards using Dosdude Patcher v1.1.0. SIP was disabled. Selected no APFS boot update or patches.
Applied plist patches to enable watch and re-enabled SIP.
Plist patches?

I got the OS installed but I can't migrate my Time Machine backup either from utilities in the main OS or from the patcher SD.

Not necessarily as Apple updated the Catalina web page to simply indicate an October release.

You're right, and just my supposition, they should release it around mid/late October, because I guess they need to adjust better Sidecar (and other stuffs), for now they did it only from iPadOS 13.1 beta 3: ipados_13_1_beta_3_release_notes

while they already released the iOS 13.0 GM, so is expectable they could release the iPadOS 13.1 in October, in this way they'd align Sidecar with Catalina.

Indeed, the ~Still waiting for root device~ was an IDE related error. Applying the patch managed the OS to pass that point.
But it failed just at the end, before the welcome menu. I got a grey screen with the mouse pointer and, after a few minutes, it reboots. I have tried to boot using -x or -f, it failed in the same thing.
Perhaps the method of video patching from A Satient Bot failed in here. Any ideas?

What video card? And, using the latest Catalina Installer (15.0.27)?

You have a C2D, right? Is it possible that your com.apple.telemetry file is crashing the system?

Can you check for panic/crash reports?

Also, I thought you didn't need acceleration? So why are you using my patches? Hmm... lol.

Latest Catalina DP8/PB7, latest dosdude1 app. I have Nvidia GeForce 6200 running on an Asus P5P41TED motherboard with Intel Core2Duo E8500. RAM is DDR 3. This Hackintosh is build from the hardware of two Asus systems, the GPU being older then the motherboard and CPU.
Where are the panics, crashes raports located? If they are in Macintosh HD or in the EFI of it, no way to reach them. At best, I could boot on F2 and get the raports in the EFI partition of the pen drive.

GeForce 6200 is WAY too old for Catalina, in fact, it doesn't work in anything newer than OS X 10.5 Leopard LOL. Just install a (very cheaply obtainable) nVidia Tesla-based card at least (GeForce 8xxx series - GeForce GT(X) 5xx series). That crap card is most definitely the cause of your issues.
