Update: Looks like the current version of Catalina Patcher works just fine with the 10.15.3 installer!
I will confirm that is correct... Updated my Mac Pro 5,1 with no issues.

replace this from macOS Mojave in System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/AppleGVA.framework/Versions/A folder this seem to work for me
I got a trackpad update from the patch updater right before I downloaded 10.15.3 final after I installed and did the post install patches the trackpad is still workingworking perfectly! Ty
After updating to 10.15.3 i need to redo these patches? or the trackpad patch would be in the new patcher @dosdude1 ?
How were you able to do that? I am having issues.Thank You @dosdude1 , 10.15.3 is installed with no problems so far...
I really can not explain how. I just downloaded the app, started the download of 10.15.3. And installed it using a usb drive. How were you able to do that? I am having issues.
Please provide detailed instructions. I do have the macOS Catalina patcher, V1.3., downloaded, but when I launch it, it gives me an error message.
Really frustrating and perplexing! I downloaded the app AGAIN, but still get the same error message!I really can not explain how. I just downloaded the app, started the download of 10.15.3. And installed it using a usb drive.
What exact error message is it?Really frustrating and perplexing! I downloaded the app AGAIN, but still get the same error message!
Never mind! I figured it out: I needed to go to the Security & Privacy Pane, and let the machine launch your file anyway. Initially, the machine thought your file was damaged, and that it could not launch it. But as I said, I got around that. What exact error message is it?
Since my EFI has not changed in a long time, it means it32 is not new. What is new is that the Catalina icns includes this old icon type.I didn't meant that EFI is changed, I only meant at "EFI level" as the apple bootloader startup manager (and this change also reflects/overrides to Refind bootloader icons).
Infact, it32 icon (and some others) are new "Catalina" encoded icons
I understand that pasting over the it32 in the Catalina icns using Preview.app is one way to create a new working icon for my old MacPro3,1's Startup Manager. I would prefer a method that does not require copy and paste though, since I have many icons to fix. I will look at the other utilities and see if they can work, or I can create a new utility or script to do it.that's why you need to use the stock Catalina icns that I attached in previous post, that is contained also in the stock "createinstallmedia" Catalina Installer.app , avoid any third-party app to edit apple icns files that won't work in this scope, just use the best Image Editor : Preview.app (Catalina or Mojave version)
You don't need to extract or dump the entire iconset, just edit the 6th icon graphically/visually from the Preview.app , save and then set it as root .VolumeIcons.icns . At reboot in the apple startup manager you'll notice your custom icon.
To disable it, try this opening a Catalina Terminal window copy/paste (in one line):
Code:sudo kextunload /System/Library/Extensions/AppleStorageDrivers.kext/Contents/Plugins/AppleUSBCardReader.kext
Yes it does as I used the method in my post 8064 but I also downloaded a copy of macOS Catalina 10.15.3 just so I have it if something does go wrong I have a way to reinstall always good to have a current versionjust to be sure here, i'm still on 10.15.1 and want to give 10.15.3 a go, does the 1.3 patcher download 10.15.3 now in the patcher ?
