Eu com mesmo problema.

Was able to test with another application, and indeed can confirm reverting to stock QuartzCore.framework resolves the issue. Changes have been made to Patcher and released via Patch Updater.
Hello and have great day! It worked completely.

But the workaround for validation disabler patch (See one page before) works for me, too.
Cheers, do you have the posting number you're specifically referring to on page 624. Reverting this patch or re-installing from booted post install patches?

So, after a lot of experimentation, I found a method to sort of fix the Music app with the new Library Validation Disabler patch... The only catch is you can only launch the Music app once per boot; subsequent launches will fail. If this sounds like a suitable solution, I can implement it, but otherwise I'm probably going to revert this patch, as I have gotten a lot of complaints about Music not working. Unfortunately a reversion would re-introduce the issue where third party applications will fail to launch sporadically. Let me know what would be best, and that's what I'll do.

Thanks for working on this and posting this choice.

I'd definitely choose having Music App, even if once/boot. My work around though for those 3 Apps I have not launching has been simple though. Have been launching them whilst internet is off 100% repeatable.

Perhaps a poll on this to save having to collate everyone's preferences?

I figured out how to edit.

But the change did not work. Music will not open.

I edited /Library/Preferences/com.apple.security.libraryvalidation.plist to "true"

I rebuilt the kextcache and rebooted.

After installing patch updates few days earlier I cannot adjust screen brightness on my mbp late 2011. Is there something I can try to fix it?

Launching Music app once per boot would be good enough for me.
I‘d also like to have an option in patcher update app to pick a suitable QuartzCore.framework for either achieving video hardware acceleration or running Citrix.

the issue about third party applications not launched is the same that fix with this command?

sudo nvram boot-args=amfi_get_out_of_my_way=0x1 and then reboot

Since that command fix this problem, I prefer to have music app available and run this command once in a while

Hi,

Until the last update today (a very small file), my 2011 15" MBP was working "fine".
Now he stops a 100% bar, and hang.

How can fix it?

@Dosdude, i found the MPB more responsive!
Good work!

Hi All.

Today in the morning i install "Library validation disabler patch" and after i having "stops a 100% bar, and hang."
I make usb flash drive with last dosdude1 macos catalina patcher(1.4.4), boot from it and reinstall all patches. After machine rebooted and now working fine. I think new "Legacy videocard patch" is installed before. For now backlight control not working, keyboard backlight control also not working. I use Early 2011 with I7 2,2Ghz, Radeon is dead but i not use DeMux.

I had this!! See Post #15573. Can you boot into safe mode? I tried this, pram, smc reset with no success.
Luckily still had patch on a usb drive, booted into that. Then EFI>Recovery>Post Install>Post Install (run them).

This was the only thing that worked for me.

Hi to all, after today the catalina patcher done the library validation update 9k file, and the mbp 17 2011 no long start, bar at 100% but never start, is there any fix for this? Regards

Hi All,

I have over 10 machines ( Family and friends ) that I have installed Catalina for using the Opencore patcher, All unable to boot into OS today after the small update,

All hang on progress loading bar,

I see there is a workaround using the install boot USB but as my family and friends are spread all over the country this is just impossible for me to do,

Is there any other work around this?

Thanks in advance,

Ant

To fix the issue, you can simply boot the machine off the Catalina Patcher USB installer or Recovery partition, then simply re-install the post-install patches. There was an issue with the method used to apply the patch initially; this has now been resolved.

Thanks dude thats great,. Sorted all the machines at mine, But is there anything I can do for the ones I cant physically get to?
