Why Tuesday and not tomorrow?a location thing? (i'm in ny, fwiw); or they released it briefly, are fixing something, and will release again? (ie tuesday). a mystery, but as with most things apple, i doubt there will be an explanation...
I am part of the developer connection (adc) but I was offered the final as it seems and it shows up as final in the installations in systems preferences. This security update isn't yet released, so it could probably also be considered a "Release Candidate," same as the 11.1 RC.
Well on Monday you could have a weekend of emails etc. to catch up on, plan work week etc. Tuesday is a better day to release updates minimising disruption for everyone. Why Tuesday and not tomorrow?
who knows? just tuesdays are traditionally release dates for apple; but they've broken that tradition lately, so... whenever,i guess. Why Tuesday and not tomorrow?
I mean if the final update is ready and is being pushed to the people that have the beta profile installed, Why wouldn't the update be rolled out tomorrow?who knows? just tuesdays are traditionally release dates for apple; but they've broken that tradition lately, so... whenever,i guess.
It's possible.I mean if the final update is ready and is being pushed to the people that have the beta profile installed, Why wouldn't the update be rolled out tomorrow?
Fitness+ Is coming out today? That means the iOS and Mac update must be coming out todayiOS 14.3 should launch with Fitness+ today, so they might as well release macOS 11.1 at the same time.
am only speculating, i have no more info than anyone else. it's monday, we'll see what happens...I mean if the final update is ready and is being pushed to the people that have the beta profile installed, Why wouldn't the update be rolled out tomorrow?
As far as I know, Fitness+ isn’t on macos, so I wouldn’t make that assumption.Fitness+ Is coming out today? That means the iOS and Mac update must be coming out today
They've historically released macOS, iOS, iPad OS and watchOS updates all on the same day before.I wonder if it won't be tomorrow, since AirPods Pro Max release on the 15th and require 11.1. Fitness+ releases today and requires iOS 14.3 and that probably means iOS, tvOS, watchOS all release today. That's a lot on one day so I wouldn't be surprised if 11.1 is tomorrow.
I hope so! Battery life on my 2019 MacBook Pro took a dive with Big Sur. Hoping 11.1 stabilizes it a bit. They've historically released macOS, iOS, iPad OS and watchOS updates all on the same day before.
Same here, cant wait i from europe. Now here is 06p.m.It's already the 15th in Australia, so I'm assuming Apple would want all of their OS updates to be available for when AirPod Max deliveries start to arrive.
That is only a rumor based on Fitness+ launching today, which does not work on macOS so they could always delay it until tomorrow when the AirPods Max are released (which requires 11.1)It’s coming out today guys https://www.macrumors.com/2020/12/14/when-to-download-ios-14-3/
“iOS 14.3 and associated software updates for iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS are all launching today, bringing Apple's Fitness+ service and a number of other updates to users.”That is only a rumor based on Fitness+ launching today, which does not work on macOS so they could always delay it until tomorrow when the AirPods Max are released (which requires 11.1)
yes, again, its a rumor. I'm sure they will be released, but its solely a rumor at this point still“iOS 14.3 and associated software updates for iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS are all launching today, bringing Apple's Fitness+ service and a number of other updates to users.”
Big Sur 11.1 is out guys, just dropped a minute agoiOS 14.3 dropped at 10:00 as suggested, but no macOS yet. Weak af Apple. I want my meaningless update!
