Tried running the trial version of Parallels Desktop 17 on my 2009 Mini running 12.1 because I heard Parallels still supports C2Ds, but Parallels always crashes during the downloading and installing process, so the app never shows up in my applications folder. The crash report says the exception type is "EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGSEGV)." Are other Monterey users having this problem or is it just me?

Yes, but there is also the ultimate solution:

OpenCL, Photoshop 2022 and other information about some malfunctions Monterey 12.1 in iMac 14.2 late 2013, 27-inch CPU i7 & nVidia GTX 780M "Kepler Series"
I am publishing this post to help other users in my condition, preventing them from repeating my same steps and wasting time unnecessarily.
Unfortunately, the OpenCore Legacy Patcher 0.3.3 "Post Install Patch" does not solve the OpenCL issue, even if OCLP P.I.P. adds two missing libraries in OpenCL.framework in addition to inserting nine missing Extensions (Kext) for the nVidia GPU cards that Apple has removed from latest macOS builds.
So, I have made many and many attempts, thanks to the intelligent collaboration of the kind Ausdauersportler, but unfortunately I have not solved the problem.
So:
- it is useless to try to insert Catalina's OpenCL and OpenGL frameworks and/or edit some files;
- it is not necessary to add the Kext WateverGreen and boot flag "shikigva = 40" to EFI OpenCore as this blocks Catalina booting and the Mac will give a Kernel Panic warning;
- Photoshop 2022 can be made to work by disabling the nVidia GPU from its Preferences. This will allow to open and edit images, but with some limitations and slower. I specify that PS 2022 works great in Catalina instead.

Therefore, we must resign to waiting for some advanced Developers to study and fully understand this issue and allow to solve it using OCLP and/or the Post Install Patch. All in all, they could add some missing files or could intervene in some configuration files of macOS or OC EFI.
We bless these -> genius people in advance :)

The method that worked for me coming from 12.1 to 12.2 B2 was to first undo the post-upgrade patching, reboot, go through the normal upgrade - rebooted a few times during upgrade, when all was said and done, I applied the post-install patch to re-enable my HD4000 graphics. Used night build of OCLP 0.3.3. No issues thus far.

Btw, when 12.2 comes out will our CLP version of Monterey display the available update? Or do we first need to do something in order to receive that update notice?

So slowly the project pisses me off. Zero improvement to six months ago! Graphics are still not working properly. Menubar is still not displayed correctly. Control Center is still not displayed correctly. Graphic artifacts in transparent surfaces. It's starting to get annoying.

If half does not work or does not work properly on many devices under 2012, even such a project is of no use. And everything obvious is ignored.

My MBP 9,2 mid 2012 non retina did not pick-up the macOS Monterey 12.2 beta 2 through OTA... Until this one, since I've started using OCPL, the updates were showing... Any ideeas? Thank you in advance.

12.2b2 OTA went smooth until I did reboot after setup with FileVault encryption option. Now, my MBP4,1 starts to boot normal, then stops with no trespassing symbol Ø.

How long does encrypting take? Does the machine have to be on or off?
