Hi guys. I have re-installed the beta 2 profile from my developer account and the update poped up on OTA. Used (like a stupid) OCPL 0.3.3 (instead the 0.2.5 I used so far and never had an issue) and after it installed and restarted, when I tried applying the post install patch, got stuck... Did a reboot and now my system is in a loop on apple logo, it goes for aboit 25% and then restarts... So pissed off!!!! If anybody has any ideea... If not, i will start re-installing from internet recovery the Catalina and work my way up again... 0.3.3 it's a piece of s.... :(((

I didn't have any issues using OCLP 0.3.3 (TUI offline ver.) on my Mid 2012 MBP non-retina, very quick update, hibernation/sleep overnight works very well, sometimes strange things happen with beta.

Does your Dock show some edges/errors?

Nice words for people who waste a huge amount of time, for free, to help people to save money and maintain their macs. You rock.

I don’t get the negative about oclp,
12.2 beta 1 took me around 4 hours to install yet 12.2 beta2 went through normally I accept that I’m installing betas and with this comes risk just because Apple released it doesn’t mean (in my opinion) that oclp automatically supports it . If you install betas you take unnecessary risk which I’ve accepted to do and thankful that work that goes into oclp so my MacBook is still supported so anyway in light of a few negative posts I’d just like to say Thankyou to all the people involved.

My MBP 9,2 mid 2012 non retina did not pick-up the macOS Monterey 12.2 beta 2 through OTA... Until this one, since I've started using OCPL, the updates were showing... Any ideeas? Thank you in advance.

Suggest getting a Discord account and whine directly at those who develop OCLP

Thinking about attempting the patch to get Monterey installed on my 2013 MacBook Air again, do I install the patch on the actual hard drive which being an air is an ssd, and just Monterey on the usb stick or do I install the patch on the usb stick with Monterey? really don't want to have to erase everything again and start over with Big Sur again.... kinda would like Monterey just because it is the latest from Apple, even though Big Sur works perfect.

Guys, is there a way to enable Apple Pay on Monterey (iMac 2011 + Apple Watch)? There is no "Wallet and Apple Pay" within System Preferences.

Just install latest OCLP on your ssd, reboot and check for updates. Monterey will be offered for installation, eventually...

It's amazing that since I have become a memeber on this forum I have tried to contribute, as little as I did, but still tried to help and support a lot of memebers. But once, I have a bad experience and 'aired' an opinion about a product - NOT ABOUT THE AMAZING PEOPLE that work and develop things here - and yet a lot of people, 'felt' the need to 'say' something... Anyway... 0.3.3. GUI did not work for me and that's that. I had to erase the hdd, since the recovery was not seeing it, and re-installed Catalina. After, using 0.2.5 TUI (offline) I've managed to install macOS Monterey 12.2 Beta 2 on my MBP 9,2 mid 2012. Few wasted hours but this is it. From my initial post I intended for some people to learn and pay attention. But some... Just have to say something... Have a good one.

If you had followed this project, you would know the GUI version is currently an active WIP and lacks some features which is why the TUI version is recommended and has been for months. A Discord account might help alleviate discomfort? OpenCore Patcher Paradise has it all.

Correct. Not dev updates. Final release updates.

So what do I do in this case? How can I prepare for the 12.2. update or what shall I do when it gets released?
I guess, in this case (no developer profile) you would get normal final OTA updates for end user. You will install them (if you have your EFI volume copied to internal disk, then no need dances around USB installer again). And after installation you must apply post-install patches if your model needs 'em.

Not much.

OTA is to show up in Software Updates. You can update as per normal. But that breaks the post install patch if any required for your mac.

Run OCLP after update, to apply post install patch again.

Relax. Does NOT exclude final releases. And opting-out at any time is selectble from the front of the Software Update CP.
