Hello,
just updated to 12.1 on my Mabook pro 15 late 2013, and now stucked on boot with the user bar at 1/3. Any suggestion?

I just successfully installed macOS 12.3 Beta on my Mac Pro 5,1 by simply injecting the power management fix from the nightly release to my OC setup.

macOS 12.3 Beta.png

Universal Control works!
However, rather mediocre on my end, but I expected that. The connection does not always work. The mouse is more sluggish than fluid.
But you can expect that from a feature in beta, besides I have anyway Bluetooth problems on my cMP (BCM943602).
I noticed that the Magic Trackpad (1st gen.) does not have Tap To Click, although the option is shown in iPadOS. Currently drag and drop with the Magic Trackpad (1st gen.) is unusable, at least for me. It almost doesn't work at all. I also noticed that AirPlay to Mac doesn't work anymore for me since the update.

P.S.
This was typed using Universal Control.

Crashlog from replayd crashing repeatedly. Might there be an issue in the NVIDIA root-patch? Does not occur in 12.2.

Should ASB look at this? And did you notice with 12.3 Apple has removed Python. :apple::apple:
At least this would make a useful and complete issue report! I guess this does not happen unless you patch the system. My (unpatched) iMac does not show this problem.

Hey,
My machine is MacBookAir4,2 / OCLP 0.4.1. / macOS 12.2.

I installed the Post Install patches, but can’t get WiFi working at all. Did I miss sth during the forum search / when reading the Dortania docs?

So do I need a dongle or USB WiFi adapter in the long run?

Thank you all,
Joachim

And this about (Monterey) Computer Art:

Using zwei iMacs A and B with Monterey I started

1. screen sharing on A to see the contents of B
2. AirPlay to Mac B from Mac A and got this

While active you can move windows and get a time delayed movement of the deeper mirrored pictures....

I might be missing the point here but macOS screen sharing has been doing this forever, or at least since I first tested it a few years ago. To replicate it, start a screen sharing session on Mac#1 pointing to Mac#2.

Then, on Mac#2, start a screen sharing session pointing to Mac#1. Voila, it works perfectly! It mirrors to infinity, as designed.

I guess the macOS devs could trap that situation and send a warning, but I kind of like how it reflects reality. Killing screen sharing fast from Mac#2 is the correct, instinctive, response. o_O

Airplay is just doing what screen sharing has always done. Whether it's right or wrong is a matter worth discussing. So how should it work?

Also, it kind of gives us a clue as to how Airplay works; it may well be hooked into existing macOS functionality. That's what I'd do if I were Apple.

So far everything works great on my MBP 2014, 8gb, i5 2.8ghz. Haven't experienced any problems, even sidecar is working. Thx to everybody who contributed to the thread, made the install so much easier :D
Well worked fine for a bit, after I updated to the latest release, I started getting Volume Hash Mismatch error. So I reverted back to Big Sur. Ended up buying a new MacBook Air instead :D

Provide the hardware specs, that'd be grounds for suggestions, how to proceed.

I was in this situation and could not resolve it by trying to boot time and again.
in the end, I wiped the SSD and performed a clean install.

I must have missed something in this thread because I can't boot my cMP 5,1 or my 2010 Mac Book Pro after the OTA 12.3 beta update.... Can you please help me? I'm using the OCLP 4.2 nightly build TUI.
Thanks.

The latest OCLP build from the source fixed the boot loop for my iMac11.3 with Xeon 3470. Some systems suffer only a throttled CPU, others do not boot at all. Please get ready to use development builds following the way as described on the OCLP GitHub page.

Updated my 14,1 Macbook Pro to 12.2 and then 0.41, all seems to be running well. Did we ever get a solution to the occasionally weird transparency that occurs around the edge of icons? Not a big issue really but just wondered if I was missing a really obvious setting somewhere to eliminate it

Thank you, I tried this. Also tried creating a new installation drive, re-installing, and booting with an EFI USB with the correct OCLP. Sometimes I see the mouse shining through the boot screen but it disappears quickly.

I now tried verbose mode and what I get is this message. As mentioned before, it is an iMac13,1 with OCLP 0.4.1, Monterey 12.2 final, and SMBIOS Spoofing minimal settings.

[EDIT] I tried starting in Safe Mode, it does not start either.

After applying today‘s OCLP 0.4.2n my machine is back to 10/10 in performance. No noticeable flaws, like in 12.2 and 12.2 betas.

Heartfelt thanks to the developers of OCLP and contributors.

I just upgraded to Monterey on my late 2013 iMac, but I can't get my Mac to go to sleep. If I click sleep, nothing happens. Does there is a solution to this?
