I have the same model as you and have been using Monterey daily since almost 3 months ago without any problems at all...

You must be doing something wrong....
It's worth pointing out, i don't think we have the exact same model. As mentioned in my signature, I Have a 1TB Samsung NVMe PCIe SSD installed with Sintech NGFF M.2 nVME SSD adapter. Do you have these too?

None of that is in question. I have read and understood that prior to posting.

That does’t negate my point though. Just because it is does any mean it should. Maybe they’ll find a work around or another method altogether so it does’t do that.
Maybe. I don‘t understand enough of the inner working of Apple‘s OTA process. But „if the system‘s seal is broken, don‘t apply a delta to it but replace it altogether“ seems a fair policy.

It got to the point where I couldn’t even boot in to safe mode, it would just crash on the progress bar. I’ve installed all the betas to this point, booting in to safe mode, installing post install patch then it was fine. But since Day 1 I experienced regular full system crashes only fixable by manually restarting.

No one was able to help with this issue on here.
Every update I've done, I've always rebuilt the patcher and installed it to the appropriate drive, same for creating the USB installer. There might be a setting you've missed, or forgot to check or recheck upon updating?

Regardless of the Post-install, if the groundwork isn't there for OpenCore EFI to boot it seems it would fail. Why I mentioned it when I commented about switching from USB to native boot.

macOS 12.3b4 on non-Metal early Macs cannot save JPEG or PNG files. Files can be opened, manipulated but Save function not available (greyed-out) in numerous graphics apps. Cannot upload these files in Firefox or Safari, as well.👎

I have the same problem, MBP 8,1 12.3B4

Same here, MBP5,2.
Same here MacBook Pro 6,2 - 12.3B4

Appears to be only when Saving As

As I said yesterday, Monterey with OCLP works very nice now on my Macbook Pro 17" 2011, discrete GPU disabled. I have used "Migration Assistan" to import my account from the Macbook Pro 16" 2019. Everything works like a charm. Even "Unlock with Apple Watch"!

Thanks again, really, to al the people involved in OCLP. You are the f…. bosses.

Grateful? The dude assumed I was doing something wrong. That’s not a productive place to start
That's a perfectly right assumption, since a lot of users with similar/same configurations happily run their computers.
It is also a basic of any troubleshooting: assuming I did something wrong and checking each action I took to double-check it was not wrong.

Hi everyone! The new macOS Monterey 12.3 Beta 4 popped up on my Settings and using OCLP 0.2.5 I have updated OTA my MBP 9,2 mid 2012 non retina without a hitch! Everything working perfectly and smooth. Have a great one guys!

Looks like install from USB aka createinstallmedia has been removed from macOS 12.2.1.
Hi @K two
I don't understand, do you mean that there is no longer the possibility to create a USB installer using the Terminal command with "createinstallmedia"

Here it works as always, 12.2.1 downloaded with MDS.app and successfully created a USB installer using "createinstallmedia" contained in "Install macOS Monterey.app"

I used OCLP to download the 12.2.1 installer. I used createinstallmedia to put the installer on a partition in my MacPro3,1. I didn't have any problems except I couldn't update 12.1 (boot loop problem during installation) so I installed to a new partition and used Migration Assistant to move my files from 12.1 to the new 12.2.1.
