Just to confirm, it was that 'no battery' issue, after editing 'com.apple.AppleMultitouchTrackpad.plist', it's working fine.Just installed 12.3 beta, only major issue is trackpad. It's not working at all. Anyone on facing similar issue on MacBook 5,1 or other devices? Do we have any patch or something for it?View attachment 1965691
Try install to new partition and use Migration Assistant to move files from old install?Looking to see if anyone has has success running 12.3 beta* on a flashed MacPro4,1 > upgraded to 5,1.
I attempted a Monterey install a week ago, got stuck on an endless boot loop until I downgraded to 11.6.4. While this feels "stabile", I would like to explore the new build of Blender 3.2 which supports GPU rendering, but AMD GPUs are only supported in Monterey 12.3.
Using Radeon 5100 and Sapphire RX580 Sapphire GPUs.
Using the new 0.4.3n post-install patches now also in Big Sur. There I don't see these differences - transparency looks OK. May be also due to my rather low-key screen backgrounds. On Monterey 12.3Beta5 with current OCLP 0.4.3n Menu Bar transparency and Control Center do look different compared to 12.3Beta3 version of SkyLightOld.dylib, or is it just on my machine? (MBP4,1 15-inch)
Maybe @ASentientBot can have a look into it, but anyhow, many thanks for providing these framework fixes and many other essential components, in the first place!
First screenshot shows Menu Bar and Control Center of Beta5, 2nd is also Beta5, but with SkyLightOld.dylib from Beta3:

Running 12.3 beta 4 without issues on a 6 core and a 12 core, both with Radeon VEGA RX 64, booting from NVME SSD.Looking to see if anyone has has success running 12.3 beta* on a flashed MacPro4,1 > upgraded to 5,1.

Yes the Keyboard Backlight control button does work for me (with SkyLightOld.dylib from volume patched Beta3), also the standard keyboard keys for that function do work as well (regardless of which dylib is used, that is if I recall that right from my memory). But regarding the keyboard backlight control which isn't shown in your left picture, does this work nevertheless? In my case, it started working only after the 2nd reboot after having applied the post-install patches (in Monterey as well as in Big Sur).
I had the same problem, but it was gone with Catalina Sec. Update. 2021-007, which brought back the built-in trackpad, which was not working (except for zooming and scrolling) in previous builds.Hi everyone, I have a question regarding a MacBook Pro 4.1 model. I have previously installed Monterey using OCLP and while there were no issues during this process, I noticed that the trackpad is not detected and is only functioning as a basic mouse. It appears that the top cover/shell of this specific MBP has been replaced with a MBP2.2 model. Is it possible to install or patch a more recent version of MacOS to have trackpad support? Its currently running MacOS 10.11 El Capitan which is the last officially supported version. Note that I have tried using dosdude1 Patchers for various older MacOS version (High Sierra, Mojave, Cataline) and all have the exact same issue.
Here, MBP4,1 15-inch shows identical data. The original in my MBP4,1 is:
Apple Internal Keyboard/Trackpad:
Product-ID: 0x0231
Manufacturer-ID: 0x05ac (Apple Inc.)
Version: 0.70
Manufacturer: Apple, Inc.
Position-ID: 0x5d200000
You should try OCLP (https://github.com/dortania/OpenCore-Legacy-Patcher) and patch your system after Monterey installation.Hi everyone. This is my very first post here. I got a Mac Pro 5,1 as a gift and now I'm learning slowly how to config it to my taste. I have some experience with mackintoshes but never with a proper Mac. I bought everything needed to upgrade the Mac Pro up to Monterey, but now I can't seem to make the Bluetooth to work.
The chipset is: BCM_4350C2
I am using OpenCore. Anyone could help me on this task? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for your reply! I had a bluetooth dongle laying around here. I connected it and it worked. I guess that will do the job for me then! At least while I don't replace the BT/Wi-Fi card for a better compatible one. Thanks for the information! You may find this useful info from dortania. docs/MONTEREY-DROP.md

Not entirely, BT works in User_space only, but not before. Keep a wired Kbd and mouse, handy. This has since been fixed. You need post-install patches.
I installed this on my 2011 MBP (15") with broken AMD Radeon GPU. This was after I installed Catalina using this: Catalina on 2011 MBPHi, I'd like to install Monterey on a late 2011 15-inch MBP (Macbook Pro 8,2) with the HD3000/Radeon 6750M GPU's.
2.2 Ghz i7, 16 GB RAM, both GPU's still working (I'd really like to restrict to the Intel iGPU though - is gfxcardstatus working on Monterey?) and I'd be getting a brand new SSD to set this up.
Does anybody have experience with this setup?
