I have had great success with the standard OCLP recommendations for install of Win 10 with Bootcamp: https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Legacy-Patcher/WINDOWS.html#disk-formatting
FWIW.
According to the tutorial, I installed OCLP to my 200MB-fat32-partition disk0s3 ,but cannot boot to monterey ,I tried twice.

Finally I boot monterey through USB flash drive,
then install OCLP to the disk0s1,boot succeeded.
Now everything is working normally, win10 and Monterey.
Is it necessary to create this 200MB partition? Why can't I start the system when I install oclp into this 200MB partition?

In some cases the OpenCore contents in the EFI conflict with the other boot loaders stored there, like Windows, Linux and others.
So it is more to save the people from accidentaly overwriting these older boot loaders.
If you are sure the current EFI has no such things installed use it for OpenCore. It is the standard way…

I'm not sure if there will be a failure in the future,
so I still want to find out why OCLP installed in 200MB partition can't boot
That 209mb-partition is not created by me

You have to manually bless it or you need to choose it once on boot while pressing the alt/option EFI Boot selector.
Please check the online docs.
I think my poor English may lead to my lack of clarity.
If I install to 200MB-partition, restart to enter the selection interface and select 200MB partition, nothing happens.
If I install to 209MB-partition, restart to enter the selection interface and select 209mb partition, OK.

On non metal like my MacMini 5,2 save problem for jpg files is still there with oclp 0.43n with beta5. Before doing the post volume patch everything is ok. Hope that final 0.43 will solve the problem.

The same non-metal depreciations which plagued beta4 are present in beta5. OCLP development is stalled due to Russian aggression, so learning to use MontereyBaseSystemfix will become necessary for those so inclined.

Information could be added (pinned) to first page of this thread for information that development is paused ?.,
Either way thanks to devs for the work that went into this project up till now .

This is an issue of major interest to all non-metal mac owners.
Please explain step-by-step.

Just installed 12.3 Beta 5, Post Install Root Patch 0.4.3n

All is well. Save as issue and image upload persists. Waiting for the OCLP update, not a big deal though.

Don't know if it's been discussed, but a work around for the image upload like these images, click the image icon in the text editor, drop image. It will upload it. Then insert thumbnail or full image.

I can´t help if you're having a trackpad hardware issue, otherwise If your problem is a missed trackpad pref panel try to modify manually com.apple.AppleMultitouchTrackpad.plist (This happens when you live without a battery on your mac)
Thanks for response 1jak0. What do I have to change in com.apple.AppleMultitouchTrackpad.plist, can you please explain or point to the post related to it?

Just installed 12.3 Beta 5, Post Install Root Patch 0.4.3n

All is well. Save as issue and image upload persists. Waiting for the OCLP update, not a big deal though.
Installed 12.3b5 also on MBP5,2. Applied the three framework replacements during* post-install patching. Save/Attach files work.

* This uses a small TEMPORARY fix for non-metal use of 12.3b4+. It may be helpful until it can be done properly by the OCLP team.

Made a small local modification to OCLP 0.4.3n downloaded 14 Feb. Works as follows: while applying the post-install system patch, data are downloaded, including these three frameworks (SkyLight, CoreDisplay, QuartzCore). They can be exchanged with ASB's latest ones after download and before applying the patches; then the patching will include them.
For this to work conveniently, made a minimal change to sys_patch.py by inserting a pause around line 668.
The net result including the changed frameworks is captured in a zip file, too big to be uploaded here, but found in the Dropbox: https://www.dropbox.com/s/kv4hjj3fie8qhx7/OpenCore-Legacy-Patcher-main043n-220214.zip?dl=0
- download/unzip to have this modified nightly OCLP
- execute by running the TUI version (not GUI as this would unconditionally redownload, thus overwrite the modified frameworks) (see screenshot)
- avoid redownloading when executing the post-install patcher
- no need to do modifications to the data, just continue with <return>.
The rest is unchanged.

See #5,123. Or this from @jackluke
An external Monterey patcher, that in many cases allows to fix any booting issues or even to delete snapshots (but keeping the stock one) so you can remove the wrong patches applied here is:

MontereyBaseSystemfix

simply restore this dmg to an empty USB drive and use it as bootloader, the patches you need to apply to your non APFS legacy USB Mac are from Utilities menu :

Legacy Wifi patches
Bluetooth transport usb fixes
Montereyfixes legacy USB patches
Montereyfixes non-metal GPUs acceleration
(Night Shift patch optional)

To apply these fixes is required a minimal interaction from keyboard that is typing your Preboot diskXsY and your System label.

On main menu there is also a function "Rebuild KC" that allows to fix permissions on kernelcache (kmutil) or even reuse any backup kext that you can copy on the USB "custom" folder.

When you want to remove any patches applied use on main menu "delete snapshot", then from Utilities menu apply "MontereyFixes snapshot booting", because it's required a patched snapshot to boot the system without errors.

After patching through my methods you also can boot directly from apple startup manager but if you don't have an APFS firmware then needs OCLP or maybe my recent updated USBOpenCoreAPFSloader4b2c.app.zip

Enjoy.

Here is the much better solution, provided by khronokernel 2 hours ago:
the newest OCLP 0.4.3n version does contain the ASB changes (see OCLP changelog under https://github.com/dortania/OpenCore-Legacy-Patcher). Please use this one. I used it "from source".

Thanks to the OCLP team for taking the time to support us so well!

I've tested the new version by applying its post-install patches to my existing 12.3b5 installation. Save file works, attaching to this webpage as well.

(I'll anyway look into the problem you reported, but as the message says, it needs more tools installed to run what I had provided, or for running "from source" in general. You'll be better off with a ready-built app for the new nightly version).
