For two days I have been trying to get different versions of MacOS on my 2010 MacPro 5,1 with OCLP 0.4.5

Start-ROM-versie: 144.0.0.0.0
SMC-versie (system): 1.39f11
SMC-versie (processor): 1.39f11
Chipsetmodel: NVIDIA Quadro K2000
Fabrikant: NVIDIA (0x10de)
devicecode: 0x0ffe
Revisioncode: 0x00a2
ROM-revisie: 3738
Metal: supported, functionset macOS GPUFamily1 v4
Diagnostic info: passed

MacOs Catalina will not install, after boot get a black screen.
MacOS Big Sur get to the point of installing and than a black screen.
Mac OS Monterey gets to 96% installation, reboots 2 times and than black screen.
According to Dortania Github I had to do some spoofing and set SMBios to minimal to make OS believe it is version 7,1
I've been trying for two days in total 24 times, but it doesnt work for me.
Is there a way to make it possible to install Monterey or should I wait for a new OCLP
There's also a specific thread aimed at configuring OpenCore without using OCLP, for your model of Mac: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/opencore-on-the-mac-pro.2207814/

If you're struggling with OCLP, it's probably good to be aware of that alternative route. Also, the more you understand what you are doing in either route, the more it will help with the other.

About gaining OpenCore knowledge:

The real OCLP docs and the OpenCore docs are the first on the list named Pflichtlektüre (must reading).

Additionally it is absolutely worth reading the great first post of this thread. Unfortunately you will find no help there with your NVIDIA Kepler card planning to run Monterey.

Instead you will be forwarded to another OpenCore on MacPro5,1 thread, there you have to download another (third) opencore package and hidden in a readme file you find a hint which will you (again) redirect to an external site where a Hackintosh guy copied all the work made by the OCLP developers into a different installation package for Hacks.

And finally you will see on this particular external page in nice big letters the following advice:

For Hackintosh with Graphics cards based on Kepler architecture only!

If you have a Real MAC use OCLP

I often use this GPU in my builds.

what kind of display do you use and how it is connected?

for test sake remove every piece of hardware what is not essential to boot the machine.

Apple changed a lot on the way from Mojave to Monterey when it comes to patching/altering a system. Additionally patching (i.e. using older macOS software parts) became more and more difficult because these older parts simply became incompatible with new releases. So one cannot extrapolate from the simple world of Catalina patching to the complex situation on Monterey.

If you need such a "must have" functionality you simply have to buy a more recent Mac, at least from 2012 or newer. This is a bitter truth.

You have no idea how much work the people put into this more and more fragile OpenGL back patching project and what new problems they faced with each new Big Sur an Monterey beta version...

If you want to believe something you found the wrong place here!
Edit: You could have simply asked why it works on Catalina and not on Monterey.
Thanks a lot

Thanks a lot for your comments. Thanks a lot for all developers creating magic solutions here and making this place believable as nowhere any more!

Am I the only one who can't drag and drop new files from my mac to my iPhone via the Finder? Really annoying....

One more time: are your EFI files made by OCLP copied to the partition where Monterey is installed?

I dont fully understand you, I hope this helps. The OCLP files are on the partition called Open Core, the efi partition of the disk has only the windows, apple and boot folders

The Efi folder in the open core partition is lacking the boot folder

Is that the issue ?

Im really sorry for my lack of understaning...

OK, so your EFI is on your SSD. Is there any other EFI on your USB Kingston and is it plugged while you start up?
And I don't see where your macOS installation is.

Im assuming hes asking if after your initial build process of creating OCLP via USB, if you then rebuilt OCLP and installed to your main drive where Monterey is installed.

If not, you need to repeat that process of building and installing like you did when first creating the USB installer to your Monterey drive.

Reference the Post-Installation / Booting without USB drive on OpenCore's main page. Link in sig.

Additionally, by personal experience, if you have messed with any of the SIP settings outside of what it chose from you, (i.e un-selecting default settings) you may have broken what was needed to boot. I had to wipe and start over.

There was, the one I copied from the open core partition to see if it booted from the usb, but it didnt so I delete it
And yes, the usb is always on the mac, it never caused me any trouble so I have left it there

Oh-oh, it's time to guess... JoinMeinHeaven, when you wrote "Open core 0.4.5 stoped working" did you mean "I can not install Monterey"? Because I understood it as "I can not boot up Monterey".

I did that several months ago, the only changes I did was the updates, never messed up with anything.
Is there a way to rebuild the patcher and install it witout macos ?

What is the disk your Monterey installed to? Because I don't see it on your screenshot.
