As can be seen, in root-patched Monterey, the full-screen menu bar is always dark, even if the system is in light mode: so, what could be the reason(s) for this behaviour…? And do others of you also have this?

I also have a dark menu in Photos on full screen and I don't use any root patch! But, as @Tockman I did not notice it before, because I never use Photos on full screen.

This is not a root patch bug! The dark menu also happens on my MacMini 2014 which natively runs Monterey!

I am facing the a weird issue. After clean installing the Hackintosh with correct Kext and every. I disable the SIP install the graphics drivers. and then reboot. then when I re-enable the SIP and authenticated root commands the system crashes any solution for that

Anyway, you must allow unauthenticated root (SSV disabled), in order to boot after installing kernel extensions (root patching): so, the maximum extent of SIP enabling is the one in the picture below (works fine for me with OCLP, don’t know however about Hackintoshes); and when doing the root patching, of course also unrestricted file system must be allowed (which anyway is the default, in OCLP):

The previous screenshot actually is from an older OCLP version; today’s default is this one (which works perfectly also with unrestricted FS disabled, after having done the root patching; but the last entry must always remain on, anyway):

This is what I do
1. Clean Install the MacOS Monterey 12.5 using the OpenCore EFI
2. After installation I go to the Recovery mode
3. use the csrutil disable and csrutil authenticated-root disable command
4. Install the OpenCore post install patcher
5. Reboot the computer
6. install all software and drivers everything
7. Go back to the recovery mode re-enable the csrutil enable and csrutil authenticated-root enable
8. Reboot the computer .

Is there a solution for this

You should probably not re-enable the authenticated root, as you modified the system volume (but I’m no Hackintosh expert, so others might know better)…

But does it at least boot without kernel panics, if you don’t enable authenticated root…? You will get OTA system software updates anyway (at least, it’s so on real OCLP-ed Macs): only that they’ll be full installers, instead of deltas. Sadly, I cannot say much more, also as I know little or nothing about Hackintoshes…

Probably not here in this thread - as mentioned earlier by hwojtek, please hop over to the hackintosh threads on MR.

Thanks to the latest developers efforts, with OCLP 0.4.10 I got the following Kepler cards up and running in Mac Pro with macOS 12.5. Full acceleration/metal, login problem solved:

GT630 2GB
Quadro K600 1GB
Quadro K420 1GB
(no bootscreen due to PC firmware on card)

So I add my big kudos to the community that again made this possible!

Many thanks for the update, downloaded it and created an installation medium with 12.5 mojave... after a boot it also worked, when I installed the root patches, I always get into a reboot waiting loop... the white bar fills up to the middle and then reboot ... and that again and again ... can jmd help me have big sur on it on the hard drive, could access the data I could delete you ...

Seems that you boot from a wrong volume. Go to boot picker to make sure you boot the latest installation, and that installation is really finished (all reboot stages, no additional helper volume remaining).

Monterey was completed, everything was running, I just activated the root patcher ... installed everything perfectly (Kepler and Wifi) forimac 12,2, after a restart boot loop :( I only have Monterey and Bigsur in the boot picker

csrutil is diable and authenticated-root too

Did you copy your EFI partition to the boot disk?

I have the same iMac late 2013 and to avoid any issues, should I update first to OCLP 0.4.10 ( post install patches included ) before running the Monterey 12.5 update ? Regards
