Ok made clean installation through Opencore v0.4.1.1 ; Now I have Monterey 12.6 & Safari is v15.6.1, everything is running ok, no more loading error ; I'm not willing to update as everything is working fine. I'm Still bothered why no recovery partition showing up when booting & pressing Option. Cmdr + R only leads to Internet Recovery Partition. I don't know whether they implemented any Afsrecovery partition with the Opencore patcher or not ? Do we have to use the USB Opencore Patcher Intall as recovery tool ? Thank you all for yours inputs.

Thanks! It's gotta be a fairly recent change I think though. Pretty funny...they replaced Messages with WhatsApp 🤦🏻‍♂️

Haha! No doubt that every app that appears on that Share Sheet involved an exchange of money or other considerations to YouTube/Google. And undoubtedly Apple wasn't willing to pay to be on the YouTube share sheet with Messages or Apple Mail. Naturally YouTube knows the browser and OS version in use and could easily serve an OS-appropriate Share Sheet. If they wanted to.

It might be interesting to see what options you get when changing user agent ? I mean with last ios version for instance. I don't know if there's a possibility to add the iMessage share option as a right click service with Automator also. a kind of bypass .

With official iOS Youtube app you are able to use the iOS share sheet, as opposed to clicking "share" in the browser. Here is the solution for browser users:

When OCLP is in use and you want to access the Recovery Utilities, you DO NOT have to press CMD+R at the boot sound (Gong!) BUT WHEN THE EFI Boot DISK APPEARS, YOU MUST PRESS the spacebar. All bootable partitions and some OCLP utilities appear. So, one of these Partitions contains the Recovery Boot and you just need to select it and click.
That's all.

Thank you so much, I had show boot picker unchecked on OCLP setting , plus I wasn't aware of the procedure, so Ctrl on EFI Boot Enter and then Space bar to get the recovery mode showing up next to Nvram Reset. Proper one

Thanks for the heads-up about SilentKnight – this may be the answer to the security question I asked earlier. I hadn't heard of it before.

In my particular case, some updates are needed. Is it advised that I proceed? And why are these out of date? I used OCLP v0.4.10 and now have OCLP v0.4.11 installed (as an app) which reports no patches needed.

I went ahead and ran the updates after reading the SilentKnight instructions. Here's where I'm at (please advise):

Why XProtect is disabled I can't say, but EFI Firmware resides on the Mac motherboard, and updates for it arrive integrated in MacOS updates. Not sure if they are in *every* point update, but if you reinstall 12.6 entirely (via Recovery reboot) it should bring the FW up to date.

The smaller updates via SilentKnight are grabbed off Apple's servers:

PS: The usual precautions about making a full data backup before any system intervention apply!

Thanks, I updated OTA to 12.6 from 12.5.1

I don't think it's browser version since I was finally able to check on my wife's MacBook Air running High Sierra and she gets the same lame Share Sheet.

Not a big deal really since I can use the file menu Share item or the Share button on the Safari Toolbar. But pretty hilarious to see that Share Sheet. Well, talk to you later- I have go get on Goo and WhatsApp and KakaoTalk and VK and OK and SkyRock and Mix. 😳

It's strange, I compared the extensions added in /System/Library/Extensions by the OCLP patch, between the two systems, Monterey and Ventura. There are 7 more extensions added in Monterey (on my MBP 9.1, for you it can be completely different):

- AppleIntelFramebufferCapri.kext
- AppleIntelHD4000Graphics.kext
- GeForce.kext
- NVDAGF100Hal.kext
- NVDAGK100Hal.kext
- NVDAResman.kext
- NVDAStartup.kext

Since I had some slowdown problems on Monterey, I tried removing these 7 extensions after patch, and creating a new snapshot. The result is that after reboot it works as well. It remains to be seen if my slowdown problem will be solved, for this I have to test for several days, since these slowdowns came randomly.

If someone can explain to me why there are more extensions added by the patch in Monterey, I'm interested.

Really… does it matter???? You can add thousands kexts. If they are not loaded, it´s the same as they don`t exists. Your slowdown has nothing to see with this.

Wait, an extension can be in the Extensions folder and not loaded at startup ?

Jesus, About this Mac -> System Report -> Software -> Extensions and wait until the list has been generated and read it carefully...it is called kernel extensions, because it extends the functionality to additional hardware plugged in or added or....

I'm having trouble downloading OCL v0.4.11. I'm trying to download it on an old MacBook Pro 5.1(2008) on El Capitan. I have my firewall off and I have it set so I can download from anywhere. All I'm getting is a spinning circle. No assets are appearing. I have no trouble on my Mac Pro. Any suggestions?

Are you able to copy the patcher from the MacPro to a flash drive and use that to install on the MacBook?

Simply use another browser to download it.
